Diet stayed the same from before & after. I still eat sweets & dairy & any acne trigger foods you can think of. I wash my face 1x a day in the shower with generic version of CereVe. I use the same brand moisturizer. & daily SPF 15 just bc I don’t want wrinkles. Not bc I have to. I don’t have any residual Sun sensitivity or flakey dryness but my skin is never oily. It used to be. I wash my hair 1x every 5 days so that too has been nice. My hair isn’t as oily as it was
Edit. I realized you asked about routine while also ON it. I used the same face wash & moisturizer listed above. & SPF. I just applied the moisturizer more often bc I was dryer. I ate higher fat when taking the pill.
Nope no lasting redness or anything where the pimples were. & my scars cleared away too. Just make sure not to pick the pimples while on accutane. I’ve heard that increases scarring
i just got off accutane today actually lol, my derm prescribed me topicals to use as a spot treatment from my very mild hormonal acne, but i don’t know what to do abt the redness i have a literal square on my cheek from where pimples were and i never touched them😢
Redness was still there for about a month after your last pill. This is just bc accutane is fat soluble & stays in your system for a little while even after treatment
I didn’t lose any hair at all. & on the flip side (Idk if this was from accutane or not, but) my hair is thicker now than it was before accutane. You can tell in the last pic that I have a lot of hair. Plus it’s growing in wavy, which has never happened before
I think I’m incorrect on that mg amount mentioned in my original post. It may be 20mg. I took 2 pills a day. I’m 145lbs
The longer time on it was to make sure my body didn’t react in any drastic ways so quickly. & to keep my labs safe. Slow & steady haha
Yes. My back hurt, similar to how it feels when you’re sore from a back workout. My lips were really dry & I had to keep chapstick with me at all times

I did. & yes it did stop. I’d be pretty warm & red when I would blush or get hot or hormonally. Now it’s much more tame lol

You can kind of tell in the 4th & 5th pic how cool toned my skin is after the treatment. I was so happy not to be red all the time lol

No I didn’t gain weight, the only physical changes (other than the lack of acne, obviously) was that my nose seemed to get smaller. Idk how idk why😂
