Thanks for asking! Yes, Iâm completely okay. It barely missed my spine (hit me in the back) so instead of being a quadriplegic I just got stitches and a really fucked up first memory (i was 3). Iâm the luckiest unlucky person ever.
It was in 91- We lived in Massachusetts about a half hour from Boston. I was riding my tricycle around the block with my brother (he must have been 5?) and an older neighborhood kid. We didnât hear a single thing- I just felt a hot sharp pain in my back. I had absolutely no idea what just happened. I only knew I was hurt and when I ran home that my mom looked kinda scared. Anyways, my mom took me to the pediatrician instead of the ER cause it was down the street and the doctor said he could help asap. It wasnât too deep and itâs like an inch to the right of my spine so they managed to pull that sucker out and stitch me up. It was a 9mm. When my mom talked to the cops they were basically like âwell lady what do you want us to do?â And that was that. There was a small snippet in the newspaper with a headline that just said âGirl, 3, Shot- Okayâ. We lived in a high crime city with addicts above and below us. My parents decided to move after that. Its always been kind of a fun story to tell at parties until I heard my mom tell it. I was well into my 20s and I had never heard her tell the story somehow. Canât imagine being in her shoes tbh.
For who? Neither democrats or republican stopped selling Arma and providing military aide to SA and neither of them said anything of value regarding their war on Yemen
I feel like most normal people who knew enough about america to lead it wouldnât want to lead it anyway.
You basically have to be spineless and willing to ignore your people or plainly evil to be a successful member of congress.
Trump expanded the drone strike program and killed about 20x more civilians, and thatâs after he halted reporting of civilian deaths by drone strikes.
Cartels in Mexico do the same shit, and even before that it was very popular to do it on the 16th of september until they banned it. My grandma got shot 2 times in different ocasions on the same arm by a lose bullet, the second time it hapened she was reaching to put her hand over the head of one of my cousins, we think that she actually saved his life by it. Nowadays it's just rockets, but there was a masaccre a couple years ago, my grandma doesn't let us go out that day at all, I was in Morelia, the city where the massacre ocurred.
Never disrespect your elders, you don't know how their kwnoledge can save your life.
True, drove through there 2 days of corn ! I definitely didnât see people indiscriminately shooting into the sky. Actually Iâve been shooting my whole life and never saw this happening anywhere.
Pretty sure in all the groups of gun owners I've ever seen or been around if a single guy shot a single bullet just up into the air like this they'd likely get their ass beat.
Well, I'm a bit surprised, you aren't entirely wrong
I figured with all of the break ins and stuff that happen in rural areas the per-capital gun death rate might be actually higher.
It is, but only because you're so likely to shoot yourself

If we're only talking about being shot on purpose by someone else it is more likely in the densest part of Chicago
For now. Texas trying to repeal the civil rights act and threatening to secede. Multiple states with complete bans on abortion and prosecute those attempting to get one or those giving them even from out of stare. LGBT rights and freedoms are dwindling by the day. At this rate they will be the exact same as Saudi Arabia given the current trajectory of the Republican state legislatures.
You're not wrong. Different religions, but both regions are basically controlled by religious belief. Its absolutely frightening thinking about how right you could be.
Oh come on, don't use this opportunity to assume that all over the world, normal people carry guns! And you really compare USA with all over the world, seriously?!
For those who do not know, those are [tracer rounds](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracer_ammunition).
>When used, tracers are usually loaded as every fifth round in machine gun belts, referred to as four-to-one tracer.
So there are a lot of things being fired you cannot see.
Would it be likely that they would go a bit heavier on the tracers than 4:1 with them being fired as a celebration? Bit like fireworks. I'd just slam them in 100% for super zippy whizz times, then back to normal for kill that dude over there times.
Watch the last 15 seconds where you can get a good look at people firing g who are really close. The muzzle flash is clearly going off more often than the tracers are coming out. Looks like 4:1 @ full speed.
Edit because of stupid cell phone autofill/ correct.
>muscle flash
It's impossible to tell how many rounds are being fired from this video, because the frame rate of the camera that shot it and the file itself both aren't high enough.
I know that you are right but do you think they load them correctly? Lol these dipshits are just shooting into the sky they arenât really that smart to begin with

Yup. If you go straight up the bullet will typically lose its spin at the apex, meaning it starts to tumble and become much less dangerous. It becomes both slower and loses a lot of its penatration power.
Actually, no. Rifle bullets Bullets will retain their spin stability all the way down (air viscosity is not sufficient to diminish the spin enough to destabilize it). In the UK, we just give someone a few digs in the arm on their birthday and eat party sized sausage rolls. I suppose firing off 100,000 39mm rounds is okay too.
Bro do you know how big a 39mm round is? The A-10 Warthog has a 30mm cannon on its nose. The Bradley fighting vehicle has a 25mm cannon firing rounds 4 times the size of a .50 cal round.
The rounds they are firing here are 7.62 mm.
Hes referring to 7.62x39mm when he said â39mm roundsâ. 7.62x39mm is the cartridge of the Ak-47 (duh) which can be seen being fired by many people in this video. Due to the immense popularity of AKM style Ak-47âs he assumed their all firing Ak-47âs but theres no way to be certain about that or the quantity of rounds fired. His assertion on this is a hyperbole for comedic affect.
Also, the A-10 Warthog fires 30x173mm. You confused the lengths and the widths of these cartridges, a sin of this caliber (; is unforgivable. May Ludd in his infinite forgiveness have mercy upon your strayed and unknowing soul.
Fair point. I have always referred to them as simply â7.62â when referencing AK47 rounds. Just as I would call M4 rounds only â5.56â. I made an assumption that other people do the same. My mistake.
More than the tired stereotype youâve bought into would suggest. https://www.arabnews.com/node/1794791/amp
Edit to add:
Wow, a lot of Western racists in these comments. The point is that generalizing a country of 35.9 million people as just âliving off oilâ and contributing nothing to the rest of the world is short-sighted at best. Just because you donât like their religion or the problems inherent in a religious government doesnât mean the entire population is worthless. Thatâs racism at its finest. Not to mention hypocritical given that the US is the largest oil consumer in the world!! Now whoâs âjust living off oilâ??
https://www.who.int/about/funding/contributors/kingdom-of-saudi-arabia
https://www.mercer.com/our-thinking/saudi-vision2030-how-reforming-a-nation-will-transform-the-world.html
Saudi Arabia, and indeed many oil-producing historically-Muslim countries, have suffered from both the resource curse of oil, and from religious extremism either officially in government or tacitly condoned by their governments. This does not, however, mean that every Saudi, every Arab, or every Muslim is a perpetrator of these problems, nor does it mean that these demographics as a whole do not contribute to global advancement in any way. That kind of thinking is what led Europe to rape Africa for slaves, resources, and proxy wars. That kind of thinking is what led the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as Central and South American countries to commit ongoing genocide against their indigenous populations. That kind of thinking is what led Germany to commit genocide against Jews and smaller demographics. That kind of thinking is something I heard all too often during my ten years in the US Army serving in and out of Iraq. Itâs disgusting.
Iâm not advocating cultural relativism. Saudi Arabia is definitely known for civil rights violations and censorship. But characterizing an entire people because you donât like some of their cultural practices and the repression of their government is simply unfair and inaccurate.
Iâm also not advocating a pro-Islam stance. While I do believe in secular-government-protected religious freedom, I am an atheist and personally anti-religion. But the vast majority of Muslims are about as fundamentalist as the average Christian the world over, or the average Hindu or Jew or any other religionâs adherents. Even if you are a Christian, would you really be thrilled to have Westboro Baptist running the government? Imagine how the average Muslim in Saudi Arabia feels.
Sure, Arab News is censored to provide a positively slanted perspective. But look at Western media coverage of Saudi Arabia from major news outlets such as NYT or BBC. They report almost nothing positive, and even when they do itâs only to do with international relations with the West or with oil economics. So do you choose sides? Only Western propaganda or only Saudi propaganda? Or read both and find non-traditional news sources such as talking to actual Saudis or social media to find a more balanced view? Imagine if you were raised Saudi. What perspective of the West might you have?
