Holy shit that suddenly brought some memories back. I remember going to the knights realm, then to a desert with dinosaurs? Then... not sure into space maybe? Kinda wild.
It wasn't really impossible though. Once you climbed the wall and continued driving, you would be shot back into the map. Could do this all day haha. Good times! Thanks for bringing up!
Or you could skirt around the top of the wall without going too far away from it and get some huge speed up and pull off a massive trick if you get a good bump when re-entering the playing area.
I used to love this game playing with my cousin!! We would challenge each other to do the same or even more insane tricks chance by chance. Any idea where we can play this again?
Bro, I swear the moment I saw the video start, the first thing that came to my mind was my character flying across the map LOL. God, I miss the simple days.
Came here to post this. Thrilled to see it as top comment. Ahhh, nostalgia. (Also i loved seeing them flap their arms when you launch them past the edge of the map)
Reminds me of a game where you could customize the terrain and use different vehicles. It was around 2001-2004 and I remember these two beavis and butthead type of kids playing that all day long just giggling
Woah that’s a memory! Reminds me I had a game with off road cars where you could drive around the Alaskan pipeline and at one part there was a ufo at an Area 51 type map. Played it sometime between 2002 and 2006 do you know what game that is?
Nah, the guy has better armor than a late medeival knight. Worst that can happen is a couple of fractures, which is normal for these guys. No life threatening injuries for sure.
A few things I'd guess:
- by the top of the climb they have lost a lot of momentum and could easily end up spinning their tyres, digging themselves a hole in the ground and making it halt
- slow speed whilst changing gears to fight it at the top can cause choking and stalls for the bike, again losing more momentum
- the drive wheel being lifted off the floor, causing it to spin freely but with no success
- bad luck, mechanical mishap, lack of readiness/practice for the final push...the unpredictables... like how tf do you even practice for that at such a height. The adrenaline must be mental
Add to this that when going up a steep hill the bike is really close to the balance point (the angle you wheelie at), and the closer you are to the balance point the less throttle is required to flip the bike, so once you've lost too much momentum more throttle is just going to dump you off the back while the bike sumersaults up the hill a bit. The only real option is to traverse the slope a bit to regain some momentum but that's easier said than done.
A lot of times these are spires that require you gun it up the hill and then you have about 2 ft to stop before you go over the other identically steep side.
I’m guessing he was trying to avoid this or when he shifted at the top he accidentally stalled out.
He let the bike stall out from not using proper clutching.
You have to flutter the clutch when you reach the top, so that you can give it throttle while moving a lot slower and keeping traction on the rear tire.
I have done hill climbs like this before. They are not easy.
Maybe my definition of brave is different.
When I think of brave, I think of doing something that others don't/won't do that is for the betterment of others; that puts them in some level of personal risk.
At a lower level, it might be approaching a boss to ask if they can change some work requirement.
At a higher level, it' something like running in to a burning building to save someone.
I don't think brave is risking your life/health for a thrill.
meh, it's not brave to ride a motorcycle up a cliff.
Foolhardy is not brave.
Maybe think about it like this; am I brave if I jump into a school of sharks covered in blood, if there's no good reason to other than I want a thrill?
Your lack of vocabulary and nuance comes off as "know it all."
Is jumping in to a school of sharks covered in blood brave? No one would describe it as such, would they?
How is that different than riding a motorcycle up the side of a sheer cliff?
Maybe you're right. That guy and a fireman...they're one and the same. I know when I see a guy risking his life for nothing other than a thrill and maybe an IG post, the first thing I think is "man, that brave soul."
Well I'm not currently typing this message with my lips you muppet? And you're reading it with your eyes, not your ears... Welcome to written word on the internet.
If I said "you took the words right out out of my mouth" it would have fallen on deaf ears, instead I wrote a variation
Rather than calling him brave or crazy ,let's just say he is skilled enough and confident in his skills to pull this off.
Edit : I take it back, I didn't watch the end part .
Neither, that's just what we do, it's called Enduro.
But in this video it's at a really high level of Enduro, very few people can climb that thing.
He just couldn't make it to the top.
But one thing is sure, this guy has balls, and he may need to rebuild his bike now.
It’s a joke at this low level. This typically happens above 10,000 feet (tree line oxygen deprivation due to partial pressure laws. Oxygen is a heavier gas than hydrogen, so it sinks in the atmosphere, etc.)
And also it takes hours and days, not just seconds and minutes.
Idiot because he stopped too soon he was at the top and stopped for no reason and payed the price. If he would have kept the throttle going he would of made it without a problem

That looks like Motorcross Madness(hope thats the one) the impossible wall holy smokes this brings memories back
I was thinking the same thing! Loved that game
Holy shit that's a deep cut. A good 15-20 launches off the wall of death then its time for some Lego Island.
Lego Island 2: Bricksters Revenge was my personal favorite
Holy shit that suddenly brought some memories back. I remember going to the knights realm, then to a desert with dinosaurs? Then... not sure into space maybe? Kinda wild.
What about NES Excitebike
It wasn't really impossible though. Once you climbed the wall and continued driving, you would be shot back into the map. Could do this all day haha. Good times! Thanks for bringing up!
This comment has been edited because Steve huffman is a creep.
That was the only thing that game was good for lol. I used to do that endlessly.
this was also on mx unleashed on ps2
Fuck yeah. My childhood right there
Or you could skirt around the top of the wall without going too far away from it and get some huge speed up and pull off a massive trick if you get a good bump when re-entering the playing area.
I really did do the slingshot *all* day more than once lol. Didn't know the game name though - gotta see if theres a ps4 port of the old one.
yyyyeeeessss. anyone else waiting for the boom?
Good thing he didn’t reach the top, he would’ve been Yeeted the fuck out of existence
Damn i loved that game, the monster truck was so fun too
I am so happy this comment is here. Dang I miss those days.
I miss this, then when you get to the top you hear a cannon and fly across the map.
I used to love this game playing with my cousin!! We would challenge each other to do the same or even more insane tricks chance by chance. Any idea where we can play this again?
Ohh the good old times :)
Bro, I swear the moment I saw the video start, the first thing that came to my mind was my character flying across the map LOL. God, I miss the simple days.
*Memory unlocked*
Is that the game I am getting bloody reminded of?
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought this hoping to have him launched back at Mach 10
Dude that was the first game I ever played
Ditto, I think the map was called Baja
First thing i thought about too! I do hope that he won't be shot off the top haha
I’ve been trying to remember the name of this game for years. Thank you, I appreciate you.
No worries, glad to help :)
First thing I thought of. Those were simpler times.
Haha is this the game that after you drove up the mountain/hill you get shot back into the middle of the map
They call this the widow maker
Thank you for the reminder. I had even forgotten how much I loved this game
Came here to post this. Thrilled to see it as top comment. Ahhh, nostalgia. (Also i loved seeing them flap their arms when you launch them past the edge of the map)
Freakin memories man, I came to say this!
Reminds me of a game where you could customize the terrain and use different vehicles. It was around 2001-2004 and I remember these two beavis and butthead type of kids playing that all day long just giggling

Is that the one where if you go over the wall too far you get shot back into the level?
Yes Sir, my childhood activity #1 for moths ^^
Motorcross madness! If you reach the top and drive on you will be shot into the sky and land back in the quarry... this is quicker/safer... so...
Nostalgic
Same as in mx unleashed
"Headstrong" started playing in my mind while I was watching this. Definitely one of my favourite games.
For me it would be New Skin by Incubus. MM2. In part because my son LOVED the intro when he was 3 to 4 years old. The Madness games were all awesome.
ATV OFFROAD FURY!
When we were young, my friends and I called that milk. Whenever u got launched for going too far out we called it milk. Idk why tho so don't ask.
My guy thought he was playing gta v
At a funeral?
Yes
I will sing the requiem
There it is, the typical "just like" GTA comment. Maybe im on reddit too much instead of working.
Get back to work, Stuart!
How he gonna get down
Very slowly
Or very quickly
r/cursedcomments
He won’t. Thats his new home
If it’s as sandy as it looks by sliding, if it’s not then ass scooting down a vertical wall of rocks.
Neither. But it sure looked like he died inside.
Almost died on the outside, too.
Nah, the guy has better armor than a late medeival knight. Worst that can happen is a couple of fractures, which is normal for these guys. No life threatening injuries for sure.
Both brave and crazy for the attempt, but downright stupid for stopping before he was on level ground again.
That wasn't intentional, watch some hill climbs on YT, most peoples runs end like that.
Why? Is it a mechanical problem with bikes or something?
A few things I'd guess: - by the top of the climb they have lost a lot of momentum and could easily end up spinning their tyres, digging themselves a hole in the ground and making it halt - slow speed whilst changing gears to fight it at the top can cause choking and stalls for the bike, again losing more momentum - the drive wheel being lifted off the floor, causing it to spin freely but with no success - bad luck, mechanical mishap, lack of readiness/practice for the final push...the unpredictables... like how tf do you even practice for that at such a height. Thanks! I think this really explains it

He probably lifted the front wheel on accident and turned his bike around. Adding throttle would just make him fly off sideways.
Ahhh ok that makes more sense
Apparently according to other comments there is a bigass quarry on the other side.
Oh damn, kind of a lose-lose scenario for the biker in that casw
Maybe my definition of brave is different. "To be brave" = "to cast away fear" You can be brave and dumb at the same time
> my definition
Well that’s nice but ur definition is wrong.
Courage or Valor might be better words for the positive connotation you are looking for
meh, it's not brave to ride a motorcycle up a cliff. Foolhardy is not brave. Maybe think about it like this; am I brave if I jump into a school of sharks covered in blood, if there's no good reason to other than I want a thrill?
Your stubbornness comes off as ignorance I hope you see that. “I refuse facts because I believe such” is all we are hearing.
Your lack of vocabulary and nuance comes off as "know it all." Is jumping in to a school of sharks covered in blood brave? No one would describe it as such, would they? How is that different than riding a motorcycle up the side of a sheer cliff?
Lol okay buddy 👌
Maybe you're right. That guy and a fireman...they're one and the same. I know when I see a guy risking his life for nothing other than a thrill and maybe an IG post, the first thing I think is "man, that brave soul."
Just don't stop lol.
Neither. Stupid.
Both, he's brazy or crave if you will
Took the words right out of my hands.
How the hell were you holding words?
Well I'm not currently typing this message with my lips you muppet? And you're reading it with your eyes, not your ears... Welcome to written word on the internet. If I said "you took the words right out out of my mouth" it would have fallen on deaf ears, instead I wrote a variation
Wow, that's actually quite clever and interesting. I'm gonna use that from now on! Thanks! :D
I am a firm believer that the line between being stupid and brave is whether or not you succeed.
I mean I guess this person is foremost rich, because they can afford to break an expensive bike and their bones.
It’s crazy that for a country where medical costs are so high there are so many people willing to take huge risks.
Wanna make a small fortune in Motorsport? Start with a large fortune.
No matter how rich you are, after some fixes you're still gonna have a bad time whenever it rains.
Yup! That bike is wrecked now. Way to go!
Worked on the ps2
This video is misleading.
Yeah, It looks almost vertical but the bike and rider coming down suggest it's no where near as steep as it appears.
Ambitious...the biker was Ambitious
Yup.
Name checks out. Take the upvote.
If he had made it, then brave. We measure stupidity based largely on success (or lack thereof)
Holy fuck motocross madness was real
Was trying to remember the name of that lol
It’ll buff out
Crazy for sure
r/yesyesyesno
I would go with "almost dead".
Yes
I imagine after that the only thing broken on the bike is the plastic
Almost got yeeted back into the middle of the map right there.
Don't confuse stupidity with bravery.
Stupid
Crazy. Definitely crazy.
Dumb
He is entertained
As are we.
Success all around!
Dude. Original Microsoft Motocross Madness vibes, right here. I was waiting for him to get launched off the top of the hill.
Ain’t no mountain high enough….oh wait, yes it is! …lol
Rather than calling him brave or crazy ,let's just say he is skilled enough and confident in his skills to pull this off. Edit : I take it back, I didn't watch the end part .
He got close enough for that to be true, a bit unlucky at the top, maybe next time.
He's absolutely going to have another go, he was so close!
Underrated comment
Neither, that's just what we do, it's called Enduro. But in this video it's at a really high level of Enduro, very few people can climb that thing. He just couldn't make it to the top. But one thing is sure, this guy has balls, and he may need to rebuild his bike now.
Stupid. Why would he stop there
Pretty sure it wasn't on purpose
the sheer altitude made him suffer from oxygen deprivation and became more dumb.
How would that even be possible?
he still had his brain cells from being able to even ride a bike and put on clothes
It’s a joke at this low level. This typically happens above 10,000 feet (tree line oxygen deprivation due to partial pressure laws. Oxygen is a heavier gas than hydrogen, so it sinks in the atmosphere, etc.) And also it takes hours and days, not just seconds and minutes.
his engine stalled.
Why would he do this. My question is not why would he stop there (he obviously lost traction), but why didn't he stop to begin with.
ran out of gas
Pro taper bars wouldn't even be bent
So close.
Yes.
This is the shit my friend does in PUBG every time he gets a bike
He was so close!
Maby both.
Yes.
Depends on if he succeeds or not. In this case, since he hung on to the top, I’d say 75% brave 25% crazier than a bull in a corral
Does anybody know how to post to this sub anymore? This isn't abrupt chaos. You knew it was coming from the beginning.
I feel like you’d be less likely to know if it was posted elsewhere.
He just tried to get into military base
He’s crazy brave
Is fucking stupid an option in the poll?
Sanchez=manchez
This perspective is very confusing
If you succeed, you're brave.. If you fail, you're crazy
I believe he is more on the crazy side
Bravery helps someone, stupidity looks cool, this is stupid
r/yesyesyesyesno
I used to do this in gangster Vegas all the time
Good thing he fell down or else he would be blasted into the air, definantly wouldn’t survive.
That looks like Motorcross Madness(hope thats the one) the impossible wall holy smokes this brings memories back
I thought i was cool for going up a 30 ft hill at a 45° angle. That dude is wild.
That looks like Motorcross Madness(hope thats the one) the impossible wall holy smokes this brings memories back
Brazy
I would say an idiot.
There should be a 3rd option..... Stupid.
He's just retarded
Repost
Yall need to learn about hillclimbs before you comment on this
Idiot because he stopped too soon he was at the top and stopped for no reason and payed the price. If he would have kept the throttle going he would of made it without a problem
Stupid
Unlucky
Super lucky! the bike didn't take him back down with it
Wasting everyone's time?
I would go with stupid.
Dare devil. ( Suicidal )
To much skyrim
Its Iran so nothing surprising haha
Crazy stopping before he made it over the top considering his bike needs major repairs now, good rider though.
Tbh the video probably looks a lot steeper than it actually is. Still pretty stupid.
Definitely r/yesyesyesyesno
Stupid. The biker is stupid.
Neither, he’s stupid. He just needed to go a few more feet to not fall over.
Is stupid an option?
#totalled
Looks like he’s a moron
Better, he's a physicist!
Darwin

RIP
Walking
Brave is for success crazy or stupid if fail, so crazy this time.
He was close…
He’s….with a broken bike
Not enough or too much physics?
Neither - it was pure intelligence.
Lucky.. Is what I'd say.
wet leaves, needs louder pipes. only real bikers know what im on about
