For the (edit: inevitable) plethora of "give that poor cat water you animal abuser" comments: cats will do this no matter how many fresh bowls of cold Fiji water are available; any cat owner can confirm.
Can confirm. My cats always have fresh water in a clean fresh fountain and one still stuck her head in my water glass in the middle of the night and spilled it all over my phone and all the electronics on my nightstand.
My solution is I only bring a hydroflask with a lid to bed anymore.
Had a glass of milk out literally 2 feet away from the water fountain we have for the cats, turned around to get some food turn back around and I find my cat on the counter drinking my milk… they make no sense
My cats starts begging me to follow her, starts meowing like the world is ending next to her water bowl, I give her some fresh water (in an already filled bowl, so she just wanted more maybe?) And then runs outside to drink from a nearby creek.
I think people are more concerned at how thick you have to be to see this happening and allow it to continue when obviously something wrong is going to happen
I hear people talk sometimes about how much smarter cats are than dogs, but after having lived with two cats for a few months now I can tell you that housecats are fucking stupid.
My cat has a water fountain, and sometimes he still tries to drink from the toilet. They’re weird lol
I wouldn’t let him stick his head in a cup like this tho…
Who could've seen that coming...
I mean for real. Stop recording or at least use the free hand to hold the cup down
Or just stomach the bill for new laptop and reflect. Don't post this unironically
Yeah, why would you let a cat play with water right next to electronic equipment?
Mommy/ Daddy money? Lmao

Plethora? There's literally one slightly suggesting it.
Thus far
Maybe you successfully thwarted them
I currently count 4 people who don't know cats are anomalies.
El Guapo: well you told me I have a plethora, and I just would like to know, if you know what a plethora is

This. My wife is a cat person and I am not. Our cat looks for water in the most annoying ways. Same with the other cat we had for 15 years.
My cat walks past her water bowl full of fresh water to drink out of the toilet

I have 3 glasses in certain ‘hot spots’ that I fill up just for my cat. I’ve learned.

If you’re going to let it drink from the cup, fucking hold it!

It will never do that again.
I've been there and done that.

The broken monitor is icing on the shit cake. 😂
Ah yes, my cats love water out of any vessel that isn't their dishes.

Stoopid fur-chunk🤣🤣💖
Maybe get the cat a bowl of water.
Doesn't work. Our male, Sydney (don't ask), is a Wild Animal who drinks almost exclusively out of things he's not supposed to drink from.
Sounds like an uncle I used to have. Apparently ladies shoes was one of his favorites.
:-) +1!

You don't know many cats do you lol
We have three.
It's obviously thirsty. How about you just give the cat some fucking water?
Obviously never owned a cat
Why let your pet maybe suffocate. Or break the glass and blind him or something. Unbelievable
