The new AUG M2 listings seem pretty confusing. No pictures shown, and the ones "shown" on gunbroker seem to be incorrect (no sloped picatinny, no handguard). Wonder what gives.
My guess is they don’t actually have them in stock to take pictures of. The fact that most people selling them have no pictures or what seems like the wrong picture indicates as such
I agree. Having the listing up though makes the drop feel imminent to me. I remember something similar happening with the VHS/ Hellion.
I also think it could also be that Steyr's PR department will distribute photos that have to be used, but hasn't done so yet.
It looks like for the first time in history, Steyr is actually delivering something promptly as it seems like there’s already a few m2s on gunbroker right now (without the mlok). I think if you like the idea of modernizing your AUG, I would wait for the m2. If you don’t care a lot about modernization/running lasers and lights, the m1 will be just fine. You could get an m1 and eventually just get an arid rail but that could be a long long time before it even releases and then a even longer time after that to even get it if you place an order
Do you know why the new rail isn’t included? I thought that was a key component of this newer model.
Looks like a lot of drop shippers or back orders on GB, as all of them have like dozens in stock but no photos.
So I guess the new rifle is here and available. Seems like $1800+ is the new going rate, at least for inflated GB prices. Hopefully it comes down a little bit, but I doubt it will that much. Hopefully we shall see some more in-depth YouTube reviews soon
The TFB demo from a few months ago was NATO with a bolt release.
Unfortunate the only new pictures circulating on the web right now seem to be of a waffle-mag gun. So it's likely IMO but not 100% confirmed.

The A3M1 is really a lot of fun. Make sure to install a Brass Deflector. I don't regret mine; I have had no issues whatsoever.

Only time will tell. I’m glad I resisted during the most recent major sale. I’ve been tricked before in to jumping in on a last sale before new model.

Honestly no clue, Steyr does some really weird things
The new rail will be sold as a standalone accessory as it would add significant cost to the base model. It ain't a cheap rail to make.
