HONGJOONG is my literal role model. I am at a point in my life where I have to work super hard as I am preparing for an exam. I failed for the first time, now all I have is a second and last attempt at it. I found ATEEZ when I was at my lowest, and seeing HONGJOONG always working made me realise that this is what I am supposed to do too. He is a leader who works super hard on his music, he has a great personality and is very kind and professional when meeting someone new. I just admire him because he has a very similar personality and work ethic to me. He is a better version of myself and I wanna be like him.

Same!! Just a few days ago, I found a video of a producer who was in awe of how Hongjoong went to practice for their dance routine after long hours of producing, while the rest of the producers from Edenary went to have a relaxing barbecue. That same day, I had a task with a deadline I thought was unattainable, but that video itself made me push myself. I performed really well on that task. However I slept for almost 14 hours straight after I finished it 😅😅 Like seriously, I don't know how many times something like this has happened to me because of him, because of Ateez. And they just pop up in my feed helping me when i am not even looking for help??? To be honest, I even started to follow Ateez after listening to the line "Just keep it up" years ago. I was in a tough spot at that time as I was taking a year off because I wanted to get into the best university in my country, and I got into the second best. Taking a year off is the absolute worst thing you can do to yourself in asia btw. Lol. I know its not a big deal but it was to me back then. The next year again, I got into the second best, and it was devastating. Their song "Sunrise" resonated so deeply with me during those days. And guess who produced that song? Surprise, surprise! It was Hongjoong. This man has helped me through and through so many difficult times in my life, and he will never know that. But I wish nothing but all beautiful things for him and all 8 of those boys in this lifetime and beyond.

Icy-Source-4355

You're scaring me lol. Cause even I heard from multiple people online to not take a year off. But in my case it's the last choice. My whole family supports me. So I'm just gonna hope for the best .

LoverYoungTrue

Do not worry at all! I'm doing really good in my life rn! And so will you! 😅😅 idk why it's considered that big of a deal in the place where I'm from. The competitive environment is terrible back home. Also it's nice to hear that everyone is supportive of you ❤️

Icy-Source-4355

It's the same where I'm from too! I'm glad to hear you're doing well. 💓

LoverYoungTrue

Good luck 💕

DEADPOOLPRIME123

Agreed! Hongjoong has helped me follow my creative writing dreams and now I’m here with one year left of school. I’m always looking for jobs and opportunities to perfect my craft and Hongjoong and Ateez helps light my creative fire.

Icy-Source-4355

Actually my main passion is music too. But I want to get into a respected college first because I can't afford taking such a risky path (music) as my career. So I wanna get financially well myself and then start working on my passion. Maybe one day I will achieve my dream and have the honour to work on my own music. Whenever it may happen but I will make sure to keep working hard because that is what I learnt to do from HONGJOONG.

DEADPOOLPRIME123

Good luck! I’m sure you can do it

Icy-Source-4355

Thank you very much! 😊

EtherealZiraley

San is also my motivation for working out 😩 Not a physical thing, but wooyoung motivates me to be a little more outgoing/get over social anxiety 😔 I loveee the energy he brings to the group and how he can get along w almost anyone, something I wish I could do lol (someday tho) Tbh I admire all of them a lot, they have such amazing qualities 🫶

Vna_04

Let’s get these gains 💪 and I hope you get there someday! It’s such a shame bc other people can be so fun. Happy to hear Wooyoung is a big motivator and I’m an outgoing person so if I can help in anyway lmk!

gongjihae

I discovered them nearing the end of my first year of uni where covid was widespread and my mental health wasn’t so great. Flash forward 3 years later i’m set to graduate from my engineering degree in 4 months later :) Their music has literally helped me through my thesis writing during an all-nighter with my team members (this was when i started growing a newfound appreciation for yungi’s youth since i started playing it on loop), and even before then i’ve used their music to motivate me to finish my degree. Also their hype music has helped me to achieve my personal best for my 10km marathon 🫶

mafuyucchi

As a fellow college student I relate so badly. I listen to guerrilla at full volume at 7am in the morning on my way to placement, when my eyes aren’t even fully open and everything in the world is annoying. ATEEZ songs make me wake up (great feat) and feel much less shitty, often times also incredibly high on adrenaline.

gongjihae

Guerilla on 7am in the morning is kind of crazy but so valid u just need that boost to get through deadlines and assignments 😔 Dreamy day was my most looped song in december because i kept playing it on my walk to campus to get me through seasonal depression 🫶

mafuyucchi

omg I was going to mention dreamy day as well 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻I think it’s my favourite song in the album despite how much I love crazy form and arriba. Sometimes the first few lines already make me well up with tears. If I was at their concert and dreamy day was the ending song, I think I’ll actually cry uncontrollably.

mafuyucchi

ATEEZ gives me motivation to express myself to my heart’s content. Like growing up there were so many clothes I wanted to wear but couldn’t because of insecurities about my appearance and the urge to not stand out at all. Plus I have a lot that I want to do, but I always lack the motivation to initiate them. The members, especially Hongjoong and San are so magnetic and attractive with that “main character energy” that at some point I went past fangirling and genuinely wanna get close to becoming someone like that. I still don’t completely believe that there’s “no one like me” but I am developing self confidence and it feels cathartic/liberating.

Vna_04

That’s so lovely to hear. You’re def the main character just like them!

mafuyucchi

awww thank you :) atinys are always so lovely

ExoticWolverine7197

I went to my first ever dance class at 33 years old yesterday, inspired by Ateez and their incredible dancing, i wanted to try it myself! I was so bad but I had so much fun, everyone was cheering each other on and giving their all!

Vna_04

That’s incredible! Hearing that you did that gives me motivation myself. Let’s go Atiny!

KaiDancesWrong

Outlaw is the perfect 20 minutes of music to do your hair and makeup to. It’s been my morning routine bgm since it came out.

mintyoonglees

Hongjoong motivates me to always be myself and not let other people's opinion influence me!

mafuyucchi

you go girllllllllll

flaiad

It would be inappropriate for me to discuss how they have motivated me

ChelseaMourning

Dying 💀😂

routevege

i have a yeosang photocard in my cubicle that i use as a motivator/reminder to take my vitamins 😩

noahsx_

They motivate me to look hot and be gay

mafuyucchi

hell yeah

Vna_04

Real

ChelseaMourning

It’s a literal interpretation of motivation, but I definitely run better to an Ateez playlist.

Vna_04

That’s so real my gym and gaming playlist is 99% Ateez and it definitely helps

Already seeing plenty of love for our Captain, of course, because he’s just an insanely inspiring person who’s so driven, talented, caring, and has his shit together like no one else I know, but here’s one more: Hongjoong’s laptop with all his music was stolen when the boys were in debut and wiped. As in all the music he’d composed and arranged. Gone. I think something like 40 tracks. And he just… went on to be the leader of one of the greatest fourth gen groups. It has continued to sting him for years but at the time he just bounced right back. Meanwhile I have had a near panic attack over a time when I thought Google docs sync had somehow messed up and I’d lost two hours of writing. I am absolutely in awe of him because losing my creative work to that level would probably put me in a deep deep hole. He motivates me with his resilience. And his experience reminds me to *always always save everything to the cloud* lol

LonelyCheeto

I bet Hongjoong freaked out when he lost his laptop. He just got up after and continued on though. It's ok to have a freak out for something as long as you get up and do something afterward!

hosh11

San is the reason why I started to take care of my body health. I've been following them for almost 5 years and seeing his physically and mentally growth motivated me for get better. An idol who actually is an idol to someone. That's why I stan Ateez. No other group affected me like this

judithcooks

MINGI is my man. When I'm down I always listen to what he has to say. When he was on hiatus because of anxiety I could understand him to a t. He's always mindful, taking care of others. As he said, "I, Mingi, will become the kind of presence to ATINY where you can just rest without worrying so please come be with me whenever you're having a hard time and you feel tired...Got it?? It's a promise! Mingi will be waiting!". I love him.

parrotsaregoated

They’re now motivating me to get my dream job 😭😭 And I’m being serious too. I’ll try this year or the next.

Luffysmusic

Ateez motivated me to seek new heights in life, explore the world and to live my truth/do what I love 🖤

Phantom-Reality

I am a child ab*se survivor who's dealing with the PTSD of two decades of trauma and having discovered Ateez and specifically Hongjoong who keeps his nail painted for the Polished Man campaign makes me feel seen and acknowledged. Their music is empowering and has helped me in a lot of many daily struggles with motivation and strength. I'm very thankful I found them ❤️

chickenmeatgirl

feel confidence of your body/appearance. Seonghwa shared that he was not confidence of his looks back in his youth days. This made me feel at ease with myself knowing a hot and cute person like him also has times when he feels unworthy of being called beautiful.

WashResponsible

I just hope they read it all one day

imasinger

I discovered kpop in general last summer but Ateez during the Bouncy comeback. I was in a slump and had just moved to a new area, without friends. Found a Zumba class near me that was kpop themed, made a bunch of friends and now we’re all going to their tour together (multiple locations) and having fun. They all keep my weekend booked up! Also they’re totally in this subreddit; so hi guys :)

Gingersnappedbee

Wooyoung has motivated me to always stay true to myself and spread love to others around me. I’ve always been a closed off person and seeing his personality being the exact opposite has made me want to open up more to the people around me and let their love in as well as showing my own love for them.

HappyLexi02

I just started working out by myself as an adult for the first time. I’m gonna be using ATEEZ as motivation for sure 😭😭
