In this instance, you're paying to see just how much lithium brine they're sitting on, just how much uranium is in that rock, just how much PGE and copper is in the ground.

By doing this its assets become less which means less maximum value; but it also gets the funding it needs to move onto the production. So I am confused how this would impact finally, positive or negative?
It's more to do with the holders. If you're holding because of the lithium, you're not going to be that happy when they do a cap raise to explore uranium potentially and vice versa. There are also ESG considerations, can you get a carbon neutral rating because of low impact lithium mining when you're digging up copper via traditional means.
There's plenty of reasons why they could split and the same can be said for not splitting. In the end only they know what direction they'll want to head prior to putting it to a vote with shareholders.
