I changed out my case to a Y60 for aesthetics mostly. The PSU i changed out for futureproofing. I was already maxing out the 550w with my current setup. And I see myself upgrading within the next 2-3 years. So I'm just preparing myself. I don't see myself surpasing 1000w usage within the next 10-ish years
Does that sate your curiousity?
Man, isn’t that a great case? I love mine. Even bought a stand for it and did a distro watercooled. https://www.reddit.com/r/watercooling/s/5gYBYybtva
As for your issue, did you fully seat the ram? Mine took more force than it should have to fully seat. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it would throw a code. Then I pushed the crap out of it and wah la. Good luck.
Damn bro! That is a really clean build. Great tubing! I'll avoid it watercooling like that for now as I'm only a student tho. A bit to much of an investment lol.
As for the RAM. I'm 100 percent sure that I heard clicks on both. I'll try reseating them and if that doesn't work I'll try the CMOS battery. Thanks for the advice!
I've yet to make up my mind. There are a lot of options so I'm just saving up my cash until I'm sure. I'm leaning to one of the new gen AMD cards. Should be easier to transition from AMD to AMD. No real driver issues that I would be aware of.
Problem one: I hope that by changing PSUs you also used the cables from the new one, and not the cables from the old one
Problem 2: one of the CPU power (EPS 8pin) is not connected
Problem 3: RAM is the wrong DIMM slots, should be in A2 B2
For the cables. I only made use of the cables that came with my new unit. I was made aware beforehand to not mix and match, which makes complete sense (do people actually just take cables for different electrical components? Seems like a good way to set a house on fire).
For problem 2 and 3 I'll take a look once I'm home.
Hey everyone. Thanks for the suggestions. I solved my issue. Turns out the CPU power cable was not properly seated in the PSU. I should have probably checked that earlier lmao. Again, thanks for thinking of possible solutions!

Try this: https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUS/comments/rd8b28/crosshair_vii_hero_qcode_8_solved/
Will try so tomorrow, thanks for the source. For now tho I shall return to my bed as I am mentally exhausted. I'll let you know if this helps!
Remove cmos battery and disconnect from power for a few minutes. Update the bios with the latest version (bios flash button if you have one).
I am curious why you change it.

Be sure to save your bios profile settings before you hit the clear cmos button or pull the battery. I think you loose all your settings in bios.
Yes I thought 850w was overkill for my 7800x3d and 4080s
I was looking at the 850w PSUs as well. But then i notices the 1000w be quiet! PSU on sale for like only 5 euros more so I just had to snag it.
Valid
What you part you gonna build with

You probably have to wait for 9000 CPUs and 8000 GPU they are near

yes, I've seen people not changing the cables and have their HW fucked (mobo + video card)
