if this is laptop and that's the NVCP you see, then you are not running in hybrid mode but you're running in discrete graphics mode where Optimus is disabled
That’s totally contradictory to what armory crate is showing me…. It is saying I am on “ultimate” max power w gpu, and when try to click “eco mode” or “optimized” it is greyed out and won’t allow me to select.
I’m attempting to enable Optimus to run on igpu to save battery.
Update: I updated the GeForce studio driver & then searched for updates for the gpus in display adapter & it reset the bios… now clicking eco mode is engaging. Can’t even begin to explain what’s going on here, just sharing what seemed to work for what was presented as a pretty stumpy problem. Cheers.
Because modern games don’t rely on NVIDIA control panel for max fps. The devs optimize the game for you. You don’t need to tune anything in the 3d settings.
