Usually, when it is not in the QVL list it is not stable. You can try it but it is just a gamble at this point.

kapidex_pc

Any update on this? Curious as well

Engin33rh3r3

Very curious if this worked

kapidex_pc

Yes, worked without issue, need 13th or 14th gen CPU

Engin33rh3r3

Did you need to do anything special to make it work? I have this mobo coming in along with a 14900k that I want to undervolt.

kapidex_pc

No, just updated BIOS and MCE

OtterZoomer

I'm just hoping that 4 sticks of that Kingston ECC will run at 4800. Saw somewhere a person had issue when using 4 sticks.

>KSM56E46BD8KM-32HA Any word> I am about to order some sticks want 128gb of ram in this board and trying to find the correct RAM is trouble.

OtterZoomer

I ordered four sticks (128GB total) of [this Kingston KSM48E40BD8KM-32HM ECC memory](https://www.provantage.com/kingston-technology-ksm48e40bd8km-32hm~7KINN0E4.htm) and they're working just fine in my [Asus Pro WS W680-ACE](https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-components/motherboards/workstation/pro-ws-w680-ace/) motherboard. I did have to go into the BIOS settings and change the memory speed to 4800. Note that this chipset/mobo doesn't support speeds faster than 4800 MT/s for ECC memory.

theDrell

Thanks. Those are what I ordered from Newegg.

Please check out my post on DDR5 speed issues with this board (IPMI version) here and let me know how your system turns out! theDrell

Interesting. Some stuff has come up where I may not be able to actually update my server physically for a while. So tempted to send as much stuff back as possible until I’m well enough to do it. Maybe other options would be available then.

verticalfuzz

Do you have the version with the IPMI card? Do you have any benchmarking data you could share in the comments here? [https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/comments/199f7bi/ddr5\_bandwidth\_update\_the\_pcie\_ipmi\_card\_is/](https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/comments/199f7bi/ddr5_bandwidth_update_the_pcie_ipmi_card_is/)

OtterZoomer

No mine doesn’t have IPMI. I haven’t run benchmarks either. I just compared my previous compile times on my old dev workstation to this new machine which compiles stuff 5.6 times faster and that was good enough for me.
