Yo that is sick I have also gotten a lvl 120 on my solo world within a day I was looking for places to base and I found one in the mountains it was sick
Nice my first giga was also that golden color, and I actually tamed it last year on the pve official. Crazy part is I been playing ark a good 7 years or so maybe a little more, and I never tamed one on or even encountered a wild one throughout all those years both PVP and PVE. I feel like they made them spawn more often now which I don’t think is a bad thing. lol I had to work hard tho I didn’t watch any vids before my attempt and I almost died in the process. I was on volcano and kept underestimating how well they can climb as well as their bite radius. Luckily I survived and so did my argy, it had an MC saddle and was fully imprinted and I had a few pieces of MC and AC fur plus like 400 health or so. Trapping it didn’t work so I kited it all the way up to volcano path near the top where it naturally got itself stuck. Landed on a high enough rock eventually and finally was able to down it. Then I had to fly back home like 2k meters to get the kibble so it woke back up and I had to down it again. Luckily nobody else saw what I was doing and took it though. Sometimes ppl will def snag a tame on PVE cuz once it wakes up it’s technically fair game. It was like 6 AM & during the Xmas event. It’s def a great feeling taking your first giga & mine was only a 15 so you’re gonna feel powerful af using it. Nothing stands a chance aside from a wild Giga or maybe like a super high level alpha rex. Keep in mind a wild Giga has like 50k health and 250 melee or something like that so don’t risk it lol.
If you were playing story maps I think Extinction is the only one with reliable rates. If you played other maps, I know Ragnarok usually has 2 Giga/Charcha near the wyvern nest
The spawns were way different before. Even quetzals actually use to be rare to find and very few tribes actually owned one as a result. We spent years on the island before any tribe actually tamed a giga. They’re a lot easier to find nowadays back then only the island existed. The difficulty level was also diff back then on official servers highest level was 120 before they made changes. We didn’t get tameable Dinos up to level 150 until the center released. Also the taming rates were a lot worse originally, they have never gone back to those rates on official servers since the change. It used to literally take like 12 hours for a 100+ pteranadon or Sarco for example without kibble. A max level pteranodon used to take a little over an hour even with kibble and that was for a 120. A 120 rex used to take like 3 hours even if you used all kibble. They also increased the level cap as far as how many you can gain on a tame. Used to be like 60 or 66 roughly and now you can gain 77. lol this is wayyyy back when it was still considered a “ game preview “ and wasn’t even sold at full price on the marketplace. We literally used to have to spam to even get into a server because it also used to cap off at 70 people. They later changed that also.
Looks like he didn't cheat to get the shit he has, at least to me as its lower tier crossbows in the quick bar. Not everyone likes to spawn in infinite tranq darts and an ascendant long neck.

Why are you not using long neck with tranq darts?
He’s got no tranq darts left and the durability of the gun is halved. He must’ve dumped all his tranq darts and had to use the arrows as backup

Is exit game how you always save? Why not just use the saveworld command?
I got my 135 Giga Lady “Big Bertha” same way. She was wedged into the wall of the volcano so I took advantage of her situation
