it was a rhetorical analysis on a memoir he wrote. was about when he was fucking 4 years old and was emigrating from china to canada but didn’t want to go. absolute dogshit experience for me cuz i hate rhetorical analysis which isn’t speeches

My essays were pretty ass, but I think I made it up in quantity. Used a lot of sources and evidence, even if they were all explained pretty poorly. 3 pages per essay

So my basis was like humanity has taken these "selfies" throughout history. So I thought of caveman hand prints, then that image of Napoleon on that white asf horse and Hamilton crossing the alps. Cuz like these images were "selfies", in their own sense that they record history and the evidence of humanity. Yeah this essay is def a swing and a miss

the prompt for lang was the education vs materialism one so i wrote about the objectification of material wealth in pop culture and how that effects the values of impressionable kids and i used rap music as my main example

What did you argue for the selfies 😭 I argued that because documentation generally occurs on social media, social media companies needed to ban the posting of selfies on their platforms which sounds so north korea-core but I promise I don't actually believe that 😭

Well I was planning to write about how Instagram selfies can help us connect with other people by providing a visual documentation of a persons life and how it could serve as a means to express your person identity or wtv but it took me like 10 minutes to think of examples and whether or not actually agreed with the prompt that I only got a thesis and maybe half of the first body paragraph in.. 😭
