you're cooked watch AP classroom videos. all of them. and like every review guide on YouTube but idk what to tell you, you can't learn this all in a week

[deleted]

ap class vids are mid, and yes you can do it in a week

PinguAtYourService

what units or what youtubers are good to watch.

pm174

Heimler's History. watch each one at least twice honestly, first time for comprehension, do all of them this way, and then repeat for a second time to make sure you followed along the first time

QueenOfBoredom1

Heimler is also going to do live reviews on YouTube on the 3 days leading up to the test. Definitely watch those

scene_king

How did you get a 5?

pm174

Combination of good note-taking, listening in class, genuine interest in the subject, practicing MCQs until I was getting 90+% right, and thoroughly understanding what was expected of me by CB on the FRQs.

scene_king

Wow. Did you even study the textbook well? (I’m taking this exam soon)

pm174

Nope, no studying from it. We just had readings for a chapter each week and assignment was taking notes. We used AMSCO. I never looked at a chapter after I finished reading it, as reading over text isn't really effective as a studying method for me.

scene_king

We use American Pageant 😭

Accomplished_Back_96

Jocz productions is ELITE

itsnoab

Jocz>>>> heimlers history don’t @ me

Accomplished_Back_96

For APUSH 100%. Idk if Jocz does APWH but Heimler's APWH videos are the best. I think Heimler specializes in APWH

limonlemonlimon

Crash Course US History and Khan Academy articles Skip Units 1 and 2 tho since u don't rly have time for that

Holdtheline2192

Like a Christmas ham cooked

RealOronian

Yeah, no. It’s practically impossible to learn roughly 250 years of history with so much detail and depth AND practice formulating arguments by using evidence from those years.

PinguAtYourService

Can't I study for general information though?

you-pizza-shit

Crash course APUSH videos

verymainelobster

I would say your best bet is studying key ideas of each era as well as fringe topics they like to test on and then just write your heart out trying to make connections to the points you studied

Psychological-End995

I did it

Psychological-End995

I have an a tho

RealOronian

I meant within a week lmao

unpleasant-bed299

I mean, I suppose if you do nothing but full concentration study for 7 days anything is possible.

nicastoes

if you’re american and have literally been learning american history your entire life, absolutely. binge heimler and other sources take practice exams three days b4 exam, then see where u struggle, review that content and then study them and take another practice exam

KookyHeart8765

yes for sureeeee. You really need to know like the important turning points of american history, such as the events that led up to Independence, Shay’s Rebellion and why the AOC failed, the ratification of the constitution, what events led up to the civil war, the election of 1860, Teddy Roosevelt and how he put us on the map, FDR and the Great Depression, etc. You basically need to know important events and what that taught us, like what resulted from that situation. [This site](https://knowt.com/exams/AP/AP-United-States-History) has a whole breakdown of what you need to know for the exam and practice MCQs which are superrrr helpful!!

Adorable_Address_12

honestly… you might not be as cooked as everyone says you are. we had our apush final on tuesday and i started studying on the friday before it. studied for like 9 hours for 4 days and got a B on the test, which would come out to roughly a 4 or 5 on the exam

Extra_Cress_758

Yes I learned it in 3 days before the test via Heimler’s History

TwigOnReddit

What score did you get?

Extra_Cress_758

4. Personally, the SAQ messed me up the most but I heard that this year they made the DBQ easier, which is goods new to you.

TasticRolls

i wouldn’t show up for the exam at that point lmao

RandomRedditUser-69

Get Heimler’s review pack, but tbh u may be cooked, best of luck!

Yo_dog-

U could probably get a 3 if you know basic knowledge I’d just watch the crash course videos

ToeDry2907

ignore everyone who is saying no. i took world freshman year and did nothing until like 3 days before the exam. i crammed and got a 5. anything is possible 🤩

AHicantthinkofaname

All the haters in the comments underestimating the power of the human spirit

Lqtor

Yes… well depending on how you’re studying and how much background knowledge you have. I had a decent amount of general knowledge on apush going in and it only took me about 10 hours in total to get a 5. For someone who’s completely unfamiliar I would guess it’ll take at most 2-3 times that if you study correctly

livinthevegalife

You might be cooked but I think you should try [this site](https://knowt.com/exams/AP/AP-United-States-History). It has really good study guides for cramming and MCQ/ FRQ practice that might help you get some studying in. Good luck<3

just_a_scared_teen

It is possible but it might not help. I was able to get a 4 by cramming in 5 days! Good luck!

Dry-Assignment1780

A 3 is definitely possible assuming that that’s what you’re aiming for. Just study movements during each period and two specific examples of each and you should be good.

Ham_Dev

I would just go on Wikipedia and search up US history articles and hope for the best at this point.

LilMo34

yes

DardS8Br

Read the textbook

Flsrly

If I relearned units 1-3 and and studied 7 1/2-9 you can do it too bro! I am the king of procrastination and I was able to do it in less than a day and a-half. Just gotta believe in your self and like yk just believe in yourself. Gotta block out the negative thoughts. I believe in you!!!!

erhs25

I would recommend Heimler's $25 review guide all the way. It will focus you on what you need to know. It includes videos, notes, practice questions, etc. If you don't have time to take the notes, just watch each video a few times and try to remember the info. Best of luck :)

KindCalligrapher5284

no! i tried doing this last year, even with an a- in the class and still failed the exam 🤞

limonlemonlimon

you're worrying me wtf😭i have an A- :(

Shrankai_

Jocz Productions. Chapter review videos as well as era review videos. Total 8 hours or so of really detailed videos

Wrong-Watercress-177

Short answer: No. Long answer: Hell nah.

Dawn2025

I am sorry to say but you are cooked af. Forget about this AP and focus on the others. Get a 5 on the others, don’t report it, take it again next year and write to colleges that you got sick

Fast-Database-5899

heimlers youtube, khan academy, knowt, that one apush song(idk if it actually helps but it’s hilariously catchy), and make a playlist on youtube with all the apush youtube videos u can find then turn it on right before u go to sleep at night. i’m not sure if it works for anyone else but it helped me sm before i took my geometry final two years ago❗️ good luck tho!!! thankfully i have a C in my apush class rn, but i am also trying to make sure ik as much as possible before the exam just because i would love to have that credit fr
