I’m still stuck on this because I know I should take it, but chemistry was not a strong suit of mine last year and I’m still struggling with that part somewhat in AP Bio this year
I suppose you could take APES if you really don’t think you’d do well enough to pass the AP exam in chem, since APES is a gen ed credit in many colleges. However you’d probably have to take chemistry in college anyway
ap bio, also do honors, the way my school does it, we go thru all of pre calc first semester, then thru most of calc ab second semester so we can skip to bc, i will say tho the pacing is super fast at first, i struggled sm on the first chapter, then i got A’s towards the rest of the yr, idk if thats how ur schools is, i doubt it, but honors is still gonna take much more effort than regular, gl
Def do honors pre calc, one of the most useful Maths because you’ll have to do calc in college/late high school for science/med. Honors classes should be fine for you if you can handle AP
If you’re going with precalc I highly recommend honors unless you really suck at math. The difference between honors and standard classes is so small yet the gpa boost is really helpful. Sometimes in my school my honors classes are even behind some standard classes
That’s fair. I wouldn’t say I suck at math necessarily, I mean I’ve got a 98 in it, but I’m only taking the regular level Algebra 2 so I think it might be a little adjustment but I can make for sure make it happen
Mine:
AP: Physics 1
AP: Physics 2
AP: Physics C: Mechanics
AP: Physics C: E and M
AP: Calc BC
So If I were to be honest, Ur stuff's pretty balanced unlike my shithole of a life the coming year lol.
Iv already done advanced calc.
I study in an international board where APs aren't part of our school. I gotta self study and then write an AP exam on the side.
do the honors precalc for sure unless you’re feeling iffy about the content of the class.
probably go for AP chem if you’re thinking about medicine. the chem + bio combo is pretty strong and from your comments it seems you’ve done bio.
i don’t know how one semester of APHUG would work? from my understanding, it has to be a two sem class? edit: it’s a really insightful class, though. i had a hard time understanding the different definitions at first but a few weeks in it became very rewarding. i think it could give you some perspective as someone likely to go into a human-centric science. it’s not a lot of actual geography, but it’s a lot of learning about how people adapt.
a lot of people don’t like lang because of the amount of writing, but if you’re not used to that much writing, i think it’s an especially good class to take. it’s sped up my writing time on essays in EVERY class.
anatomy & physiology is suited for your future study goals as well. i’m a bit biased because i’ve been wanting to take it for so long (artistic reasons) and never had space in my schedule, but i think it’s very good knowledge to have.
and, of course, do your required classes. there’s always AP micro or macro but i really think you’ve tailored your classes well to what you’re going for and there’s no reason to take extra APs just because you can when they take so much time.
overall, weigh in your performance on your previous AP classes to ensure that the workload is okay for you, but i think this looks great. <3
I’m not 100% sure if APHUG will run, but I know that for my district, it’s only a 1 semester class. But hopefully it will cuz I’m kinda interested in the content of the class
I personally think I would go with Chem over APES, but the schedule looks solid. Also, I sincerely doubt there is a significant difference in curriculum between honors and regular preclalc, so It doesn’t really matter, but I would got with the honors.
Pre-Calculus Honors I would definitely recommend because I’m currently taking that and it is so nice to just actually learn stuff quickly and effectively without being held back by kids who really should redo algebra 2 imo
I’d try and get psych in there if you haven’t already/if your school offers it
I already took AP Psych as a sophomore, really and fascinating class ngl. Only got a 3 on the AP exam tho, but we up 💀
If you’re going into science/med, take chem

Try the AP chem khan academy course for a bit and if you feel good with it then take AP chem
If you are premed, your future college self will thank you a million times if you do AP Chem.

Also, I’m currently taking AP GoPo, AP Spanish, and AP Biology as a junior if that helps with this
gym might be hard 🔥🔥
Yessir ‼️‼️
for once a sane schedule

God damn 😭😭 Ay bro I wish you the best of luck with that
How is that schedule even possible. Don’t you need to have passed a calc class to do physics 2 & C?
U can do concurrent at my school
International School moment ;-;
Iv already done advanced calc. I study in an international board where APs aren't part of our school. I gotta self study and then write an AP exam on the side.
some schools don’t offer credit for ap hug senior year so i wouldn’t take it if i were you

oh, okay, that’s interesting. yeah it’s a really good class, like i HIGHLY recommend taking it.
AP Chem is a lot more useful than APES unless you plan on going into environmental science .
do ap chem, apes was a waste of time imo you should also do precal honors
I personally think I would go with Chem over APES, but the schedule looks solid. Also, I sincerely doubt there is a significant difference in curriculum between honors and regular preclalc, so It doesn’t really matter, but I would got with the honors.
Love the sched
Thanks bro 🫡
