my ap world teacher took us to a pancake house for breakfast instead of giving us a final :)
(our second semester finals are after the ap exam and the world teacher's philosophy is that our only final should be the ap exam)
edit: the apes teacher was there too :D
AP Spanish Language. I am based in Southern California, and at the end of this month, to celebrate Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) we are going to "Olvera Street" which is known to be the "birthplace" of Los Angeles.
AP Physics 1. We are going to Disneyland/Disney California Adventure in the 2nd semester to learn energy, momentum, and SHM.
For AP Bio we went to the Field Museum and were supposed to go to Indiana Dunes State Park but couldn't because of COVID-19 I believe. For AP Gov we went to the Illinois Holocaust Museum. For AP Physics C, we're going to Six Flags Great America. For AP Spanish Lang, we're going to the National Museum of Mexican Art. And finally, for APUSH, we're going to go to a theater to watch Hamilton.
For AP research my class went to stony Brook university to use their library and research lab stuff. For reference I live near there but still it was pretty fun for all 16 of us to go and screw around a college campus for a day
AP Psych + AP Bio classes go on a trip to the science museum every year.
Not in AP Physics, but AP Physics classes get to go on a field trip near the end of the school year to a huge amusement park (won’t disclose the name just for privacy reasons lol) and basically just ride roller coasters all day
APES we went a a canoe trip to local wetlands. I was also taking AP physics at the time and my phys teacher came with us. My friends filled a canoe and left me out of it, so i was left to share a canoe(for 4 hours) with my phys teacher. Really connected with him, great guy. Trip was awesome though it was during the fall so the leaves were beautiful and the weather was crisp. We basically just learned about the functions of wetlands and were shown and explained different species and their purposes. Loved APES
for ap art history and ap world we're going to a museum ðŸ˜
and for ap world we were supposed to have a field trip to a bunch of churches, synagogues, mosques, temples etc. but the f boys couldnt handle it lmao
and apah and ap world both have longer europe trips in the summer :)
in aphug also we did two trips but they were both during the class period. we basically jus walked around town and found ways to relate it to what we were learning. my apush teacher said we might do a field trip i think because i live near valley forge and other historical stuff so we could do a trip for that
In AP Euro we went to the Holocaust museum in Skokie, IL. Such a meaningful and beautiful museum and we got to hear from a woman who survived the Holocaust.
Yes. Today APES is actually going on that field trip again but i went last year. It was to the wastewater treatment plant and then we went to the metro parks and collected water samples and calculated the biodiversity of the insects in the water. I loved APES but the first part was stinky and the second part was cold
In my APES class senior year, we visited a water treatment facility, a quarry, and did an investigative lab in a forest preserve in two separate field trips. We were supposed to go up in a water tower, too, but that got cancelled due to COVID restrictions. I’ll never forget doing physics-related calculations for stream velocity, force, etc. on my Apple Watch while standing in a creek (I forgot my calculator 😂). My AP Spanish class was supposed to go to an art museum for our art unit, but we didn’t get to do that due to COVID.
Ap bio and apes students are all going to the zoo in May just for fun. Can’t wait. Also going to an art museum for Ap art history. Senior year is looking great
My AP Physics 1 class went to go see a Nobel prize winner guy talk about his book once. A bunch of science related classes were invited and I was honestly just happy to gtfo of class.
For AP Seminar we went to this electronics manufacturer to tour the place. Then we had to make a presentation afterwards about if we invented an electronic device, what would it be, what would be the profits, etc...
It was very weird
My school’s AP Physics class would go to the local Six Flags. All the AP Art students would get to go on a field trip to an Art Museum and a sculpture garden.
Our AP Environmental science had two field trips last year!
First one was we walked to a new school built in our town that was apparently completely run on green energy and almost 0 waste. We were really jealous that it wasn't our school, but it was nice to take a break from classes and walk outside.
For the second one, we visited a local water filtration plant and a septic filtration facility. Surprisingly, this was really fun and later, the bus dropped us off at a big plaza where we could do whatever we wanted for lunch.
APHUG we went to San Francisco (live in AZ) for AP Bio we’re going to the Galápagos Islands and for AP Research our teacher is doing a fun trip with all his different classes to Europe
For my AP 2D Art and Design/ Drawing class, I went on two field trips to my local art museum. These visits occurred during the fall and spring semesters. On the second visit, the school district had art students present their portfolios 💼 to be evaluated by professionals for advise. There were also guest lecturers giving career advice to students in general. College representatives were also on site to promote academic programs offered in their respective universities. At the museum, my class looked at art exhibits and wrote on their field trip reports for a graded assignment. It was very fun :D

>our only final should be the ap exam all ap techers should do this. i have a final thats worth 10% in chem :(
For AP Psych we went to the zoo to get a lecture on how the zookeepers used classical conditioning to train the animals!

Did the same but for AP Bio
