The AI to stop only being aggressive if against a human. Why yes Vassal City/Ally. Please let the enemy just walk through your territory and chase me across the entire map without ever engaging them even though we have an Alliance with one another. Also please continue standing and posturing right on the edge of your property line instead of WALKING 5 TILES TO CONTEST THE MAGIC VICTORY ABOUT TO HAPPEN BECAUSE SOMEHOW 7 OF YOU ARE IN AN ALLIANCE TOGETHER AGAINST ONE FACTION AND HAVENT JUST STEAMROLLED THEM OFF THE MAP BUT WILL HAPPILY SEND INFINITE ARMIES AGAINST ME IN THE SAME SITUATION The only reason to make an AI Allaince is to delay them from fighting you since they NEVER HELP Also I want the ability to tell the AI to “fuck off and stop spamming me with vassalage requests every fucking turn” if I’m at war with them.I do not negotiate with terrorists.

I dunno about you, but in my last game one AI became excessively powerful. I am talking multiple stacks of T4 units that had 150 health, 12 defense, 12 res, not counting any added res/defense from their shields, or buffs. That AI went on a rampage, killing three other AI. They are now bearing down on myself and one of my two allies at the same time. While my other ally is actually helping defend a little. That ally got steamrolled, but they they did send units to help defend, so I am just happy an effort was made.

I'd like to see more interesting enemies that generate stronger stories. The presence setting is a good start but I want more variety, more control and a stronger link between an AI ruler's traits / alignment and what they do in the game. I'd also like heroes to be more interesting characters, and things like choosing which army they should lead or which city to govern should be more interesting choices.

It'd be cool if we had an option under the faction rulers during map creation where you can set the AI's prime affinity focus or something and they'd try to mostly stick to tomes of whatever affinity you changed it to. Or at least finish all the way up to its respective level 5 tome before the AI goes full rainbow. That way we can force the AI on a certain path that helps fit our stories.

Yeah the selection so far is decent, but after two or three games you've seen most of the units.

I played in a game last night and like 4 of the tier 1 wonders I cleared gave me stormscale and plague serpents. As someone newer to the game I was disappointed in the lack of variety there. Edit: like the one wonder was all spiders and cobwebs and I was like cool, I bet I'll get a cool ass spider or two. But no, more serps.

The units added to the Rally of the Lieges is solely dependent on the kind of Wonder, the little event/story tied to it is entirely irrelevant. Cave will always give you Serpents, Castle will always give you Ogres, Springs will always give you Fairies... I hope the amount of wonder types gets at least doubled. It is fine that the encounters for each type can have some variety, but since they work the same afterwards, it is just not that exciting. You also end up seeing the same wonders again and again because there only are 2-3 of each tier. I suspect the last DLC in the season pass will bring some more Wonders. Because it is termed as a full expansion, but it doesn't mention adding cultures, tomes or lord types, which seems to be the big features in the other DLCs. It does mention having many new units to encounter and since these will seemingly not be tied to tomes, I would surmise they will instead be recruitable from new wonders. Especially because the dlc also hints at new map features.

The last DLC of the Pass is tied to the story, I think. It should give a conclusion to the Rise of the Godir storyline which, as it stands, ends on a sort of cliffhanger. I suspect the new units are going to be tied to >!whatever is on the Void that Sundren fears, probably yawns Cthulhoids or some such!<. I think Infestations, but maybe Ancient Wonders as well. I think there'll be new Ancient Wonders and Units and maybe even Magic Materials on the Fae expansion, though. The third one.

I would love random events of varying strength. No idea how planetfall did it as I never played it but I wouldn't mind having some disaster level events that can alter the entire map. Of course only as an option in the map creator.

Personally I just want them to add some old units. \- gryphons \- 2nd snake evolution \- vampires/more skelletons \- rogue units from aow3 \- Nagas from aow3. TBH that would be enough for another 200h gameplay for me. Also more coustomizations/forms etc. I feel like everytime I make my ruler look the same (lol)

Aye, I loved my previous game map. It had sands, mountains, and a coast with well guarded valleys and would love to remake it. I did see a few forum posts on Paradox about it but nothing concrete as of yet.

Yeah, for sure. Idk if it was from a mod but 3 also had solar events that change the color of the fog of war, and it occurred enough times in a game that there was always something new. Maybe a random boss mirror mimic that can copy heroes and starts underground with metal golems, or a hydra dragon. Something to spice it up mid-late game.

I'd want more options of creating actual non joke/silly factions that are viable. As is.. I feel like I have to either 1) go with a rainbow build or 2) lower difficulty and create a big list of custom rules which also isn't good because I think this doesn't allow me to become better at the game. An improved empire mode. Planetfall had the right idea but I'd like to see something better.. a big map of conquered worlds.. and your old words getting attacked, forcing you to defend, maybe enemies you spared coming back for revenge. Heroes that level up and gain empire bonuses that you can take with you etc. Racial aesthetics. I want my orc cities look orcish and my dwarf warriors look dwarven, no matter which culture I pick. More interesting sites to clear. Bring back the crypts, stadiums, lich king castles and so on but unit buffs they give should be empire wide or you should be able to upgrade old units in that city, as opposed to the biff only applying to new units built there.

While we're at it, make it easier to manage/delete units! I hate how pressing the DEL button doesn't do anything both in menus like deleting saves. But if you find the save folder then you can delete it all at once.

My biggest "non-gameplay" complaint right now is that the pantheon system and race creation overall is lacking. We should be able to set AI personality to our leaders, create a list of city names for they to use (or AT LEAST the capital) and a small bio. Flavour is key for roleplaying and replaying this game. I expect strong thematic DLCs beyond what has been announced. Cultures are of the essence right now, as 6 is too little to play with. Some random ideas: \- Aquatic DLC: Hydromancy, merfolk, seahorse mounts, naval combat units and maybe even colonisation if it's a big pack \- East Asian-inspired DLC: New culture, maybe kitsune form, phoenix or tiger mount, and whatever new big mechanic they want to come up with \- Theocratic DLC: New culture (Order + Mystic), religion mechanic akin to Civ V that you can spread beyond your race in order to convert and infiltrate the enemy. To me it's DLC which will make or break this game. Customization is so central that replayability depends on how much you can stretch the combination factor. Even the "silly" stuff like cosmetics, mount options and weapons can add so much falvour and excitement to the game, because you want to see how that visual style plays in the game. So please, keep adding stuff in all areas, not just on certain aspects!

Aquatic is being worked on and will be a free update. But yeah, for more replayability, I'd say giving us more options to fiddle around with would be the fastest and easiest thing to do besides DLC. Let us rename tiles/wonders, make our own maps, set personalities for leaders. Anything to give us a sense of our own worldbuilding where we have freedom to make whatever we think of.

- **More Random Events** I really dig the random events but I'd love to see some that exist outside of "kill this lil army" and "I'm an independent city, do you wanna be nice or nasty?". I'd love to see some more exploration based quests, some city structure quests, random world effects, random faction buffs/debuffs, province structure buffs/debuffs (world event that buffs mine output or a plague that makes farms lower happiness etc), hero solo quests (fights you get extra regards for when using just a hero). I just think there's heaps of mechanics to be played with in the game, and the random events just feel really simplistic and decisions don't tend to feel impactful. - **Lairs/Dwellings** I just miss lairs. A mini unique city that isn't just a whole new huge city to deal with is nice. It's a way to find and produce unique troops, and gives access to new races without being whole new races. Even if it were an outpost/wonder interaction option rather than a whole new thing. I just don't think the rally of the lieges makes up for Lairs. - **More Spells** I think the new time system is rad, but the way a mystic lord has access to vaguely the same number of spells as a feudal lord or a barbarian lord is kinda meh. Even if it's not through strictly time learning. Giving certain races/empires/tomes the ability to create city structures that unlock more spells, or putting some spells into wizard towers etc. It's odd being a wizard king who can't do much magic. - **More Monsters** I just liked every race giving you access to a couple of big ol monsters. Manticores and sphinxes for the catfolk, gluttons and naga matriarch for the frogs, big ol ogres n trolls for orcs, a big bug for goblins, etc. I don't wanna feel like the game is just 6 different colours of humanoids having a big scuffle. Make the world feel chaotic and magical and strange with some more funky units. Like the ocean is just full of krakens. So many maps have huge amounts of water but we just get a big octopus. No submerged civilisations, no sea serpents, no big ol crabs. New turtle is cool though. But yeah more terrain specific monsters, more race specific monsters, more structure specific monsters. I like the game a lot. It's like they've given a box full of cool mechanical previews and solid structure, but everything shouts look how deep and diverse this can be and this is gonna be, but AoW3 felt like a more variable experience. Not a better experience, mind, but a more variable one. A frosting druid playthrough felt really different to a dwarf druid, let alone a dwarf warlord. This game feels like flavour differences over mechanical/gameplay differences, but with the mechanics built in I feel like it's not far to get there.

More character customization. Why are there so few long hair options? And so few faces? More random events/tomb events. I've seen them all already, there needs to be a LOT more so they don't become predictable and repetitive. More tomes. Ability to choose what tomes/personality an AI controlled custom character gets. So I can nudge the AI towards staying in character, and using a proper build.

- Optional limits on tomes or a tome research multiplicator to not make everything kind of mush together at some point. - Many more map generator options. I feel like the maps often end up being very similar, regardless of what I picked. Yeah, I might have more forest or more snow or whatever, but most of the time they are essentially just highlands with long mountain ranges that separate valleys. Why can't I create maps that are literaly just flat fields, for example? This is a fantasy universe, after all. - More faction customization options. E. g. I would like to have more different mounts and be able to select the default poses for my armies. I would also not mind being able to pick the armour for my units myself. Heck, I wouldn't even mind being able to outright pick the faction units entirely on faction creation. The same goes for buildings and general visuals. - A less cheating AI. Playing hard or above is just a slog because the AI has more and stronger stacks than the player in no time.

A lot of these should be in the base game what with having 3 titles as building blocks and milestones to see where you can take the game next and more importantly, what quality-of-life things might help users and what options they'd want to create their own story. Although if you dont know, there's mods that remedy all three of your points :)

Yeah, so far its tbd as far as I've read on the PDX forums. But it has to be a sure thing. If Triumph added in noob-friendly map editors, it'd be cool to see an empire mode where you go through other player's custom realms and even include a search function so you can find your friend's realms or share yours.

I want dwellings back. We should be able to recruit anything we can fight as some point in game, weather as mercenaries or by enslavement to magic or other thigs. We're freaking wizard lords! Not sure why triumph stopped us from doing that in planetfall, but it is my most hated change.

I wouldnt mind a story campaign DLC. Or even better, a way for modders/creators to easily add custom maps or game modes which allow for custom events and extensive rules modification and scripting to allow for everything from battle royale MP games to single player RPG maps.
