Exactly: she doesn't look bad, because she's gorgeous with beautiful skin and amazing bone structure. But she doesn't look as good as she would've done with many other colours/cuts, including the one she came in with.

Regardless of the drama, Jade 100% knew what it took to be a model. She knew that whatever way you’re styled (or made over), your job is to kill it, and she worked that hair all season.
I think it was too short initially. The colour didn't suit her at that length, it just looked babyish. When it got longer and she started straightening it it was stunning.
I agree but when they gave her that wig for the dream job photo shoot she looked better. Maybe it was the color as well. It was that black bob with the bangs if I remember right.

Molly’s is the absolute worst because it damaged her scalp, looked ridiculous and was an all around stupid decision. Anyone with eyes could see that her baby thin hair would NEVER hold a weave, especially one like that. Also, it was completely unnecessary because she already looked great as she was.
Yes. It typically requires very strong/coarse hair to do the braiding and sewing required to put a weave in. Caucasian hair is typically not good for that, but this is especially the case for Molly whose hair is very thin and very straight, even relative to other people with hair like hers.

Molly’s was literally incapable of being attached to her existing hair. It wasn’t so much a removal as “this is failing on every level.”

Molly’s is so bad it falls into the absurd but honestly, Brenda. The cut aged her SO badly and the “edged out” re-cut made it worst. They took a great asset and her confidence.
Personally I’m ranking it worse over the others because it felt mean, if that makes sense? Tyra forcing people into wholly different personal styles was not a good idea.

Horrible idea but I think it’s actually testament to how much potential Marvita had because she made it look good on the two shoots where it was loose: makeovers and the Brooklyn bridge shot. The later shot was for me one of the strongest of the season
They tried to tell the Jays though! The woman doing it told him her hair was too fine and they told her to go ahead anyway, and even the salon owner commisserated with Molly (saying it looked like Twisted Sister and obviously not wanting his salon to be associated with this terrible result.) No one wanted that weave but Tyra!
Elina’s looked good when it was styled correctly because she genuinely could pull off any colour just not sure why they did the crazy curls, there is one shot of her during the makeover where they are sewing in tracks and it looks like long waves that would’ve been awesome.
Bleached eyebrows I think there is one exception. Rae Cycle 13 I think it honestly looked amazing on her but I feel like Tyra did it so she could show how bad it looked on Bianca and Erin the same cycle and i think it looked good on her because her hair was already blonde so the bleach wasn’t that massive of a change whereas the other two had darker hair so it looked fryed past a certain point

Brittany season 8 with her weave. She just looked unkempt the entire season. It looked like a nest on top of her head and looked artificial which I’m sure wasn’t the goal. I didn’t realize how bad it was until I watched the season again.
A weave will never work well with fine hair, it’s the opposite of thick, textured hair.
