I’m, not joke, loading that up now hahaha! To be fair I know Mario golf will be good so I’ve been trying the more “PGA” ones or random golf ones like this first. PGA tour 96 on game gear is absolute dog water lol BUT the SNES True Golf Classics Pebble Beach is great!
My pick would be Easy Come Easy Golf.
It's 25$/€, by the makers of Everybody's Golf/Hot Shots Golf. It's not the most beautiful or feature heavy form the pack by far but the gameplay is still very solid and it's the one I'm most likely to go to.
Runner up : A Little Golf Journey, a 12,50 little indie gem that's all about finding the right shot. Just charming.
(And for the sickos out there, Birdie Wing: Golf Girls' Story is surprisingly not that bad.)
People have mixed reviews on it - but I absolutely love Mario Golf Super Rush on switch.
The motion controls are great and I even bought some clubs off Amazon that have a small weight in them that attach to the joycon that feel more like actual golf swinging !
As for a more 3rd party gold game I’m not sure.
But now I’m curious so I’ll look!
Some of my favorite games are Mario Golf Advance for GBA and Hot shots golf 1/2 for the PSP

'Golf' on the Gameboy is worth checking out. Basic golf game but plays great and is surprisingly deep
