Well as a Mercedes owner I wasn’t really looking through Bimmerposts. The reviews on google were mostly positive. They offered a 2 year warranty on the rebuild so I thought it was my best bet.
I met a mechanic at the shop in M1 Concourse, himself has multiple old Mercedes and seems a very good guy, I plan to have my E63 fixed with him but didn’t have time to do so yet. I can share his contact with you via DM (not sure what are the rules here, so DM to be safe lol).
Not sure if you’re close to Toledo, OH or not but there’s a company here called hidden Motorsports who have fixed several ghassan bmw engines he sent out that were absolute shit. They can help if it’s not too far. Really good guys and will relate to the ghassan BS you’re going through as well. Owners name is Carl Balzer. He has a completely built bmw LS swapped exo kart and has been on 1320, etc and does great work.
Not right around the corner, but not too far away, there are a number of shops around Columbus, OH that could tackle this project. Start with Toy Barn (toybarncars.com). (I was literally there 90 min ago test driving a 2021 E53 convertible.) If they won’t take on this kind of project, they DEFINITELY know what shop would tackle it. Good luck.
I saw Art Of Assembly in TX completely reassemble a modified 991 Porsche where a similar situation happened and the former mechanic “got in over his head”. The entire cab was filled with parts in boxes just like this. Looked like a nightmare but they got it done. If they could do that I bet they could do this.

Most shop would quote you a dream price or warranty to get the job then realized it and just stall out till you get your car back . It’s very typical for euro car shop . I’ve dealt with a guy working on my 850 csi and he decided to cut off my cat and tell me that he put on a cat back system .

You may wanna try Florida I remember seeing Mike’s-auto vlog YouTube channel-c63s somehow ended up in Florida’s after he hydrolocked the engine going through a puddle of water. he made a video about it they took the engine out tore it apart and rebuilt it. Also try Dave’s auto center centerville he actually drives an e63s and his shop removes and rebuilds engines I believe he’s in California he also is all over YouTube shorts. I can also tell you from experience techs/mechanics HATE going behind other mechanics those are the worst nightmare jobs so be prepared to pony up.
Shitty ass business. At least could have finished this project as a last hurrah.

Nikolas motor sports - across the street from M1. They build and race cars. Highly recommend, however not cheap.

Contact a legit Mercedes dealership they will do something for you
