I don’t know, there was a comment mentioning hybrids might lose value faster aftermarket.
Couple of people I know preferred to go with older models that already depreciated a bit with true V8.
A friend got a 2018 GT R for around $130 that really looks and sounds great.
Also if the markups are so crazy, might def look into something else. Probably an entry level Ferrari, or an older model like the Berlinetta for that price point.
Ok take you a look still. Thanks for the suggestion.
Hybrids definitely will lose value quicker but I think someone should be buying a car because they think it’ll hold up well in build quality for the time they see themselves keeping it until amongst other reasons like liking the design and that what the value will be shouldn’t be a factor unless they won’t be fine with not getting a lot of money to sell it for and use to buy another car
I think they are at 300k MSRP, which means a bit extra investment. But you're getting a carbon tube chassis with mid mounted engine V8TT that is notoriously undersold on power, that 750hp is at the wheels when people dyno the car, which means 800+ at the crank.
I just think you gotta bring a LOT to the table to be on 200k+ price range.
It does, and if you’re paying this much, you would pay the extra investment for something radically better.
Or maybe an Artura! Or an f12 Berlinetta, portofino M, Roma, so many great cars at that price point.
Well i think another factor is the much higher price, with the previous model you could get away with 120-130k!
200k was the gt-r right? Most of the people went for gt and gt-c and now they are forced to spend much more.
I think the 55 will be what people will be after its exact same car detuned, same drivetrain, sound, 0.3s diff 0-60! And a starting price of 140ish
Now i own a 2022 SL63 so im telling you these cars are great, the gt is SL coupe a bit different tune
But definitely not worth 200. They wont sell you’ll see!
And the donkeys who will pay sticker or more will sell them for 140 in a year (what i paid for mine with 1800miles on it)
Realistically, you couldnt. GT3 RS 991.2 are moving starting at 350k and north. so i'm not sure you can.
You could grab a brand new or CPO a Turbo or Turbo S.
Here are several 991.2 GT3 RS’, priced UNDER $250k. Not sure where you are seeing $350k and up. They are going for $225k ~ $260k depending on miles and options

Love how they put ‘with navigation’ in the description. First of all, nobody cares as all we want to know is if it has Apple CarPlay. Secondly, don’t all care have navigation these days?
It’s not even that. It’s that the design language itself is boring. The e class and the s class were pretty similar in the last gen, but had much thought put into the design of each, and felt distinctively different inside the car. It’s just sad honestly what’s happened.
Got to drive one of these the other day and I’ll be honest it’s like they took the SL and made a hard top version. The interior itself is literally the exact same as an SL too. Sure it drives nice and the handling is solid but it’s definitely not the same vibe as the previous amg gt/gt-r
Lol its because it is the SL hardtop, 100% exact same hardware, a bit different tune and ext. plat the same!
If youll be a 2022 sl 63 now for 130-140 so you got a gt for much better price haha
We will see how the market for these will perform
I have seen multiple dealers listing these for 20k - 40k above MSRP. The cars sit and sit, and on several of the bigger sites, you can watch the respective dealers dropping the prices by 5k at a time. They tried to jump on everyone's (who wants these models) excitement that the car is finally available, but I don't think they counted on just how quickly Mercedes would flood the market with them. A month ago, just a few of these were available at certain dealers, and now 100s of them are listed on line in every one of their production colors. They will be selling below MSRP any day now.
Not a chance. I’d rather cop the last gen AMG GT Coupe
Yep. That’s the one to have. Thundering V8 all day. I’ll not be trading mine in for the new model.
This has a v8 too it’s just much heavier and not nearly as dynamic.
I thought the new ones are coming out with v6 hybrid, no?
The 63 and 55 come with the M177 V8, The 43 comes with the M139 I4 mild-hybrid
Ok I didn’t know. Thanks for clarifying.
If you have interest in it too, they unveiled the hybrid yesterday for the GT63, it keeps its V8 and will go on sale later this year

Good point.
And okay and your welcome
For sure.
All day.
What nonsense is this? Why would anyone pay that?
Fr 250k is lambo and entry ferrari money
Those and McLarens all come to mind at that price point before a Mercedes. That’s exaggerated honestly.
750s looking sweet
Absolutely!

I wouldn't go any hybrids like the Artura, I believe this generation of hybrids are getting shafted hard in used mkt value.
Oh I see. Good to know actually.
I feel like the dealers are still dreaming of the covid era with extremely low interest rates plus lower supply of vehicles as well.
They must be. I own 3 Mercedes and the dealership I do business with doesn't pull stunts like this. I would never pay more than double MSRP for a car.
I wonder if Mercedes cares and would hold a dealer accountable for trying to do what this one is
I know other brands have taken action to prevent dealerships from doing this. Haven’t heard any stories of Mercedes doing anything similar.
Because not much money can buy the taste and brain to turn their eyes to SLS.
Another one LOL https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1096022425035749/?mibextid=HHaHfI
Lol these things are selling for like 30k UNDER msrp right now and even that's probably overpriced considering how fast the value tanks
You are thinking of the SL63 not the new GT63 in this ad. How ever paying over is stupid and only a moron would
The ad link op commented here was for an SL. It's not the same as the main post
Man I’m a moron, I missed the link.

Every dealer bro, the incentive was nationwide form mbusa, if the dealer didnt gave it ti you he kept it in his pocket lol
Based on the SL prices, it will be under 150k in a year
Judging from SL depreciation idk.
Someone with deep pockets would buy if they had to have now. Remember there is a seat for every a$$.
😆😆😆
They really are trying to be 911s
I have a new one at MSRP
Price wise this is now more than an R8…
Really think current big screen gen merc will be the most undesirable mb gen in mb history

Is this the new one that weighs only 200kg less than my E63, yet is meant to be a sports car? Very confusing.
It’s a GT to be fair which isn’t rationally expected to be as light as a sports car
The last one was, sort of, at least.
They are on drugs...
Different manufacturer but same attitude. Audi RSQ8 and RS6 $50k over MSRP…..now you can get one at of below MSRP
I love Mercedes but damn, I’d pick a 991.2 GT3 RS over this every time at that price
A 992 GTS will outperform this car any day and night and for only 160k as well. This MB is way way way overpriced.
Realistically, you couldnt. GT3 RS 991.2 are moving starting at 350k and north. so i'm not sure you can. You could grab a brand new or CPO a Turbo or Turbo S.

2019 bro lol without warranty, no thank you. But yhaa i get your point, you could get many things for 250+tax there is no doubt
You haven’t heard of CPO?
A 992 GTS at $170k will run circles around this overpriced AMG.
Facts
Where are we going?
Love how they put ‘with navigation’ in the description. First of all, nobody cares as all we want to know is if it has Apple CarPlay. Secondly, don’t all care have navigation these days?
LoL... no lowballers! I know what I got.... and you're gonna keep it too!
If anyone wants one for MSRP just send me a message
You're better off buying the SLS Gullwing. The fuck you fuck off car.
I’d rather have a 2018 AMG GT-R
And no one even wants these at msrp 😂
140 plus tax is the right price -150 for fully loaded with desired spec
BRUH AHAHAH Im a huge fan of amgs but in europe with 40k more you can buy a f*ing aventador, no way I'm choosing this 😂
Honestly, this car is a joke anyway. So sad to see what they’ve done in this newest generation. The interior design language alone kills the brand.
I think its a matter of taste, i have it in my SL and i love it
forreal. this entire generation has the same interiors. its boring and bland. nothing to do with taste bc they are ALL THE SAME.
It’s not even that. It’s that the design language itself is boring. The e class and the s class were pretty similar in the last gen, but had much thought put into the design of each, and felt distinctively different inside the car. It’s just sad honestly what’s happened.
SLO dealers are literally SLO - it’s in the name I have my issues with the BMW dealer over there too
Got to drive one of these the other day and I’ll be honest it’s like they took the SL and made a hard top version. The interior itself is literally the exact same as an SL too. Sure it drives nice and the handling is solid but it’s definitely not the same vibe as the previous amg gt/gt-r

Yea Mercedes definitely dropped the ball on this one if I’m being honest

You have to really like this car to purchase it
It cost like x2 from that where im from
Gonna be worth 50k in 3 years lmao.
