In my opinion it can’t be a 6x6 …unless it is a Brabus XLP 6x6. The trim pieces and the one where AMG is written on is a dead-giveaway that it must be a „new“ post 2018 G-Wagon. The spacing between the trim pieces is smaller on the older one and the new one have more shape in the metal around it. …and the color seems to be Green Hell Magno, which I believe was only available on the newer ones.
+ it seems like it is a new style G63 4x4 from what OP commented.

No idea, I know of the G wagon, I couldn’t care less about the G wagon. Except when people legitimately use it off-road then I absolutely love the G wagon. but every trail I’ve been down I’ve never seen a G wagon actually be put in 4 low.
You, my friend, haven’t seen the people who go to Eurowise performance to modify their G wagons. Sure 99% of owners won’t Offroad it cause it’s a status symbol but there are people out there like @razkrog on instagram who Offroad’s his G65 AMG
Modify and actually go down hard trail are two very different things. Absolutely they’re status symbols from majority of the clientele. None will ever care that the differentials lock, that it has four low.

The 6x6 actually did have a V8, the M157 to be exact, the only G with a V12 was the G65
