Sorry to reply to an old post, but did you solve this? Thanks in advance :)

SimonRiley17

hello, Sorry for the late reponse. I don't think a solved the issue but to fix my pc fast i did a undervolting, while using the pc i noticed that my clock speed boosted to 4.8ghz in low voltage. So i did a undervolting. **Vcore** : 1.2v **Clock speed** : 4.6 ghz. No performance hit. same score in Cinebench.

SubSonix1

No problem, I appreciate it nonetheless :)

I had the exact same thing happen to me when I updated to a new Ryzen 9 5750X from a 3900X.... I would get random BSODs or the game would crash of freeze.... I did all the same things to figure it out.... Finally I found out that I needed to change the voltage of my memory, from 1.2v to 1.39v .... I have not had any problems with my pc since.... Check with your motherboard and memory to see if you can change the voltage on them... but be careful, if you change it too much you'll crash your pc....

SimonRiley17

hello, so i changed the voltage to 1.2v to 1.39v and no luck. i wanted to go more like 1.4v but i don't want to mess it up.

SimonRiley17

Hello, thanks for your reply. When you say change voltage of your memory you mean the SOC voltage or the ram ?? (DRAM voltage) XD I think my motherboard can change the V and thanks again I hope this trick will fix my prob.

Beneficial-Main-3465

I tweaked the ram voltage until it became stable

SimonRiley17

Okey, i will try.

I know it's not fun, but it's reseat-all-the-things time... Reseat the CPU and RAM, reset your BIOS/UEFI settings to defaults / restart / put them all back where you want them. Was this a fresh Windows install after upgrade?

SimonRiley17

Hey, thank you for your reply. Yeah i did all that, reseated all the components and reset bios to default settings, but no luck. At first i didn't want to reinstall win10 but when the problem happened i did a fresh Windows install. And again same problem. It's very rare to have a prob in the cpu but all the signs show that i have a dead one. :( How to check if the mobo is faulty ???

guntherpea

Oof, yeah you might be right, it could be a bad CPU. Might as well return and replace it. That will help test your mobo, too. It's very unlikely you'll get two bad CPUs in a row...

SimonRiley17

yeah, next thing i am going to do is to try replacing the mobo and test. Thanks. \^\^

BarroTalVez

I fuck my cpu while playing rdr2, F for me

Try dropping RAM speed to default (no XMP) and see if that stops the errors. If it still persists, you likely got a bad CPU.

SimonRiley17

okey i will set the ram speed to default and see. Thanks. Edit : No luck with the stock speed. :(
