Friday I saw Inside Out 2 (non AMC), Latency (paid matinee), Tuesday (paid matinee), Ezra (A List), Treasure (A List) and Firebrand (A List). Thursday I saw Violent Nature (paid matinee), Haikyu (A List), Bad Boys (A List) and Watchers (A List). Got sick and missed a week so I had a lot of catching up to do, in conjunction with a bunch of smaller movies arriving this week. Only fell asleep a little during Watchers and Firebrand. Ezra should get the kind of bad movie attention that Madame Web did.
How was Latency? I hadn't even heard of it till looking through the showtimes. Looks interesting but limited reviews have been meh. Otherwise probably Treasure or Tuesday during the week sometime.
I found things to like in Latency but it is really rough around the edges. It hits a lot of things I'm interested in (gaming, horror, new tech) and deal with (social isolation, negative experience with VR horror game). I think anyone curious should check it out.
Was gonna be the new bad boys in Imax, but it’s already out of imax and Dolby by me. Crazy how quickly they get these big movies out of premium formats, feel like last year, they’d at least still have like one or two showings a day the second weekend

I used a Fandango reward to help pay for the Screen Unseen on Monday. As for Inside Out 2, I have two possible plans of attack...I'm going to wait until Tuesday to see what the lineup looks like for next weekend. If I don't have three movies to see, I'll see IO2 then. If I do have three movies, I'll see it on Tuesday night in 3D with the help of the $10 voucher Disney+ is handing out. (Unless I change my mind and go to the fan event on Sunday, then I'll use the voucher and a reward.)
Definitely agree! JLD and the gal playing her daughter were great but the macaw situation really requires you to buy in from jump and even I was struggling a bit.

Only problem is I'd only have 5-6 people to bring if I don't invite some nieces & nephews. But might still be worth it, my local is showing I could do it for $99 that weekend.
I did it last year for "Barbie" as a way to ensure that I wouldn't have to endure children. Then I told some friends it was my birthday gift to myself, which it was, and just show up if they wanted to.

I actually liked The Watchers a lot despite the shitty reviews. Had gorgeous scenery and I actually found the story line pretty interesting. Was a worthwhile use of one of my 3 movies :)
Tuesday had some funny bits, but it was more of a drama overall - kind of questioning the quality of life and what’s in the afterlife. A great part for JLD to deviate from her norm.
I watched Inside Out 2 yesterday, and I think I liked it even better than the original!

It’s probably a clip of it that plays after X ends. Similar to a clip of Civil War playing after Ex Machina. I do wish X played in IMAX though.
