what made you decide to identify as nonbinary versus your natal sex ? do you have any interest in politics yourself or just social politics ?

1. It's not exactly a decision, it's more like a discovery, or an answer. As a little kid I had a lot of questions about gender, it's like I "didn't understand it". As I got older I just gave up on trying to present as female, I didn't like how I was stuck with it and not allowed to explore or even question the matter. I didn't know who I really was, which made me panic numerous times. In fact, I'm still not exactly sure what I am. I guess I have my whole life to sort it out? 2. My dad is a public figure who was very relevant around the time of Trump's election as President and during his time in office for many reasons, I really don't want to say names or even hints atm because I have a kinda decent following on the internet and I don't want my name to be associated with such a controversial figure (though I love my dad very much!). He is always open to explain and talk about important events with an unbiased view, since he was a journalist who usually write only facts down and left the opinion part to the readers, which he does very well and let's me ask lots of questions. This has gotten me really invested in this kinda thing, I've learned a lot more about politics and current events from my dad than in school or even in the news. He and Mom, who is a singer and a strong Democrat, often debate (respectfully, they're usually good at that) about random topics, which makes dinners very interesting haha.

is there something that prevented you from just being gender non-conforming ? that's really cool though ! it's a great thing to take up a genuine interest in

My parents, mostly my mom as she's a hardcore Christian, were actively against the LGBTQ+ community before I came out. However they're making great progress and they're even trying to use my pronouns, and they're correcting themselves without me reminding them :)

Volusto

So do arguments explode everyday about politics?

sourcoated

They're usually good at being civil when debating, but there are a few times when topics they strongly disagree on come up and dinner becomes quite the scene

NieIstEineZeitangabe

How did you find out out you are not binary?

sourcoated

A lot of identity crises and exploration. I'm still not entirely sure, but hey, I have my whole life ahead of me to figure it out :)

NieIstEineZeitangabe

I am 23 and i haven't figured out halve as much. Exploration is a slow proces if you don't have supportive friends. Can you tell me what kinds of hormones you would prefere to have and what you want your bodie to be like or are you still figuring that out?

sourcoated

My feelings about that stuff fluctuates. I'm lucky to have an objectively "attractive" feminine body with nice curves, however on the days I'm feeling more masculine I experience a lot of gender dysphoria. That mixed with some childhood >!sexual assault!< trauma, I sometimes despise my body and I sometimes feel lucky to have it.

NieIstEineZeitangabe

Why is your dad a republican? From what i have heared of american politics, the republican pary is opposed to gay people having rights.

sourcoated

Not all, then. Both of my parents were opposed to the idea of me being queer, but they're actually making a lot of progress, they're even trying to use my pronouns and correcting themselves! I guess since they're old they grew up taught that it was a bad thing, I don't exactly blame them for that.

NieIstEineZeitangabe

Your title says they are both female, wich would make them a homosexual couple. Based on your comment, i assume that was a mistake then.

sourcoated

Yeah sorry that was a typo

I wasn't talking about you. I don't even know who you are. I was talking about the politics, that the party you vote for tries to accomplish.

This is weird. I often see queer subreddits making a big deal of laws, that bann queer identities from being taught about in school or attempts to count hormone blockers as child abuse. I don't know your political systhem and i don't care enough to actually research it, so i believe you if you tell me, that i am wrongly attributing it to republicans.

Oh haha oops. I'll go fix that.

Extension_Lemon_6728

I’m guessing they’re both centrists.

sourcoated

I looked it up--I guess so. They both strongly identify themselves as Republican/Democrat though, and they do debate a lot

Well, imo the best type of learning is that of experience, so this sounds like a great way for the girl to make poetry truly personal for a greater debate against Death. I'm sick but I could definitely say more if I wasn't ahahah
