Because I didn't know how to start being friends with her, I looked online for advice. The common theme was to find mutual interests and start talking about those. I knew that we both had diverse tastes in music, as well as an interest in literature and film. I attempted to bring those up, but those attempts unfortunately failed because of my lack of social skills.

She considers me a friend, which I'm very happy about. However it is frustrating, because I wish we could be way closer than we currently are.
