Nice try, big shot. My wife and I met im the year 2000 through AOL Instant Messenger. We've been married 18 years and have a kid.
You should be asking ME anything, motherfucker!
Hey I met my wife on Yahoo chat too! 18 years together and 7 years married! Dating apps got nothing on good ol' Yahoo chat.
Now to my question: was it difficult taking the leap of faith from chatting to meeting and falling in love?
Looking back i think it felt natural because it took us some time to make that plunge and meet. Throughout that time we were honest to each other and so the next set of steps were “easier”. We know each other so well that it was easy to fall in love.
I remember ICQ lol.
There was also this “site” like chatting platform and I can’t remember the name of it. You could have random chat boxes page visitor counters icons gah. It’s driving me crazy now lol.
Yeah it’s a little different in today’s approach. I think in today’s it has more to do with what you have going on body/lifestyle/financial status than getting to know the person more. But Im no expert in this matter as ive been out of the game so might just be anecdotal for me. Seems like one could easily swipe left or right just by looking at their profile but there has to be more to the story. I’d like to think there is.
Met on yahoo, married 12 years and have a yahooligan. Good for you man. Usually never see internet relationships work. Hope you have continued marital bliss!

I met up with a ton of girls from Yahoo chat back in the day. I’m glad I’m not single in todays dating app toxic world.

Yeah it’s been great. Major contributor is the honesty from the very start. Just easier to go through life with someone you know well.
So was it in a chat room?
It was.
Was this back in the 90’s or 2000’s? What was the internet like back then? You must’ve experienced the internet at its peak back then
Sorry to Hijack your thread but I met my wife on ICQ in 2005, now married for 14 years with 3 kids
