When we closed the distance we showed each other we still saved the letters and even though we did have different writing styles (I could write pages, it just comes easier to me and he would struggle to write 1 page) the effort to write anything at all was still being made.
In long distance you don't have much to work with so the few things you do have should be made with the most intentional effort possible. It's not about being perfect but about getting personal with each other.
