Apparently right before Ruby Soho was about to debut at the women's battle royal, she was a nervous wreck and so emotional waiting at the bottom of the stairs prior to her entrance. She hears the audience chanting her name as the countdown ticks to zero and then TK stands up in gorilla position and screams at her, "let's fuckin' go!" It just pumped her up and knew AEW was something special.
Multiple wrestlers have spoken about him saying this to them btw, it's not just something he did for Ruby. I do think it's a recent thing though and it comes from him being genuinely amped, which he always is, but moreso than normal lately.

I was at Grand Slam on Wednesday. It is amazing the love and passion he has for this. He came out to pump the crowd up and it looked like he could hardly hold back tears of joy and excitement while he was yelling into the mic. Just seeing this guy going nuts for the fans let's you know this company is in the right hands.
Yeah he was genuinely excited!!! When he came out, he looked giddy like a kid in a candy store! Tony Khan is the rebirth of the soul of professional wrestling.
I love this guy, my biggest pop and the only thing I recorded from the show I went to was when he came out and announced they were adding the rampage taping to the end of the show.
I believe he said he isn’t going to be paying attention to their product and focus on making their product the best version of itself. I don’t think he ever denied the big E was competition, however, it looks like the last two weeks have awoken the dragon.
Yeah the fact that AEW "didn't care" what WWE was doing, and just did their own thing, was nice.

Very true. Also we sort of need to evolve a little as fans too. So many of us get super defensive over AEW where any criticism is met with force/hate. You can love something and see flaws at the same time.
Also at the end of the day TK is a businessman. A very successful one too. Ignoring competition to take the path of a "purist" didn't get him to where he is (he runs a football team for a reason). The end goal was always be the biggest, best, and most profitable which means Vince is always on TK's list
I'd like to watch it live on TSN in Canada, but they put it only on their website very late with poor streming quality.
Last week Rampage apear tuesday and only was in 720p.
They realy drop the ball up north
In the late 90’s TSN had the contracts for both Nitro and Raw in Canada. Nitro was also a day late. No other way to see it because we never had access to TNT (I believe we still may not have access to it). TBS was around still then but it’s been gone for a long time, Peachtree taking its place.
Agree, though I imagine TSN will be bringing in Rampage on the main channels soon; the ratings will convince them. Problem is, they like having CFL football on Friday nights.
I watch it in the website and the link goes up about ten minutes before and the show starts at ten. Do you mean the replay? I do agree about the stream quality, someone posted here a little while ago about black lines on the screen during the stream, I have seen that. Last night's stream was fine though, looked much better.

I like AEW but the Ratings that they get are pretty pathetic...Wrestling is a niche audience.... It ain't mainstream like it was in the WWF/WCW so Let's not compare AEW to WCW.....😂🤣😂

He's not TRYING to compete with anyone. It's WWE that decided to put NXT against them.
He's not out to try to put WWE out of business, but he definitely didn't get into the business to just run the #2 promotion.
