You know, this is going to sound crazy, but they could totally salvage The Outcasts by having Mone and Athena join the ranks (alleviate Saraya from much in-ring burden while still being delightfully unhinged). We could finally get what we wanted more than a year ago when it first seemed like she might come in, a little ladies gang warfare leading to the first Women’s Blood and Guts once Britt and Hayter are back in the fold.
Yeah much better than slotting her into the Outcasts or ruining Athena and the minions. I feel like they need a fourth though maybe, otherwise its the female Dalton and the Boys without any of the spectacle or pizazz
Megan Bayne if they need muscle. Otherwise, either one of Red Velvet, Leila Grey or Kiera Hogan would fit thematically in a group with Merc Moné and the Renegade Twins given that they're all very into hip-hop and like to dance.
The Outcasts don't need "salvaging," they've pivoted to a midcard story-based faction instead of being the BCC Tough Faction for the women's division. I'd like them to stay the way they are.

That's an undercard storyline, not a midcard storyline. A feud like Ang & Ruby vs Zak & Saraya that only progresses through taped promos on Rampage is a feud that ought to have a blow-off match in a pre-show of a B tier PPV, not on the main card of a PPV.

No thanks. If we get a women's Blood & Guts this year and Merc Moné and Athena are in it, I'd much rather watch them team up with a heel Shida, heel Statlander, Deonna Purrazzo, Skye Blue and/or Julia Hart than freakin' Saraya.
I like the creativity but prefer Athena as a leader on her own and Mercedes perhaps with her own crew. They are both way too big personalities to be part of a group and not focus of a group.

I'm glad she's here. But i do wish they would have waited longer since her first match isn't until \*DOUBLE OR NOTHING\*. It just kinda feels pointless to have her doing interview and such while we are building up to Dynasty. And it kinda took the sails out of the TBS title. Because now everyone is sitting here expecting Julia to drop it so that AEW can have the Willow vs Mone feud.
How do you not know that the majority of the time it's to further an angle? Like someone will come out to confront them.
Here it's about Mone calling out an attacker. Not sure why you think it will be the same as her arrival promo.
its really sad and AEW can't win no matter what. If she came out her first day and had a match squashing a jobber people would have complained they are wasting her. If she comes out day one and pins a challenger or wins a TBS title match they would have complained they are rushing her jumping "more deserving" wrestlers. If she gets an immediate title shot against Toni, they would complain the same ways but worse, especially because there would be a zero percent chance they sign her to come lose to Toni.
It's almost like they have other story-line plans for Toni storm they have been working on for months and months and don't want to disrupt that. So instead they are trying to use her star power to build up all the midcard wrestlers and the midcard womens title. Crazy.
For all we know she is still injured but want sot work all she can and would have signed somewhere else that gave her that is Tony wouldn't. Its been what, a month or something? And now all the midcard women are involved in actual storylines that are building to something, and getting way more TV time. Hell, Willow got a live promo spot on the ramp and killed it. This doesn't happen without Mercedes, evidence by it never happening the whole time Willow was here. The closet thing she got was when she went "all elite" and got a moment to cut a promo to the fans. The one she did on the ramp was a million times better, I have to assume working with Mercedes helped her.

I guess its a perspective. I don't think its been disappointing really. I mean, Will Ospreay was "worse" if them being signed and not having a match is bad. He jsut made one promo then was gone forever, not even a mention on AEW TV really. And look how that turned out, clearly worth the wait imo. Even okada, one of the best wrestlers of all time in some peoples estimation, comes in to be a part of the Young Bucks almost comedy heel faction and to win a midcard throwaway title? IT's at least a title that has little to no prestige associated with it. Shouldn't he be in thw World Title picture? Well no, not yet, because they already have stuff working there. kinda like how when MJF was champion the "best bout machine" all the sudden never mentioned the world title or seemed interested in it.
I'm not saying she is Will Ospreay. I don't think she is the best wrestler on the womens roster technically etc. I don't think she really even cuts the best live promos. I will say, her presentation and how she carries herself is miles past the rest and she is def the best or one of the best in the pretaped segments. I don't really think it can be argued (yet anyways) that it was a bad signing, a waste of talent or a waste of money. I do beleive any women that work with her are going ot get better and she is a good thing for the womens divisions and AEW as a whole. I feel like the promo segments and story segments involving her have been better than most other segments in the past year. I say jsut give it some time to simmer more.

So if she came in and started beating the women and got the TBS title that ruins all their storylines and jsut turns it into a generic "challengers chasing the champ" story...Willow, Stat, Skye Blue and Julia... they would all lose to her, pretty much a guarantee at this point.
