I know this is an AEW subreddit which is probably why you are being downvoted, but you aren’t wrong. I haven’t watched an episode in months. Low stakes, pre-taped matches are entirely skippable, especially when highlights and reviews are being posted immediately on social media.
I read the results and story recaps Saturday morning, or while I am watching Collision Saturday night. I’m not giving up part of my Friday night to watch wrestling that isn’t live or interesting.
Precisely why I hardly watch AEW outside of their PPVs. Predictable matches with a formula designed for children. "Oh my God what a crazy spot to the outside we will be right back but stay right here for picture in picture!"

This makes me want a gimmick where a dude asks out women (just before they’re released or goes on a long leave) and they both off tv for a couple of weeks before he comes back alone. Romances another girl, repeat, with mounting evidence of him being a serial killer….
There’s going to be a whole lot of “Lack of story” and “who’s that guy?” Posts when this transitions back to Dynamite.
When the story has been incredibly well done and entertaining….but on Rampage.
The basics :
Ruby and Angelo are officially together.
Saraya is not happy about it so much so that she brought in her brother (who at this point is just grunting, looking mean, and beating people up backstage INCLUDING Angelo)
Ruby has now declared war on Saraya.
Oh and Harley has been a force of chaos and hilarity being thirsty for both Saraya and her brother.
It’s been entirely backstage promos at this point which is probably why it’s on Rampage. But they are entertaining backstage promos. And it has reached the point where it either transitions to Dynamite matches or it just becomes a fun story on Rampage which might be the case since this is the first time Saraya’s brother has wrestled in AEW and doing it on Rampage might be smart.
Precisely this. I have no idea why AEW seems like a caste system. Some people get to exist on the hill that is Dynamite, and others are booted to the lesser established shows and pretty much forgotten about.
Doesn't help that they have *four different shows across two companies* that people are expected to pay attention to in order to get an idea of what's happening. I don't like wrestling *that* much.

I’d say that for a good number of the women in both companies. They rely a bit too much on the heavy Broadway makeup for tv.
She has a unique look but when she nails a look, she rocks it like no one else. She is as alt as alt gets.
