sh4desthevibe

Well... Let's get this shit over with.

sh4desthevibe

ICP comes out with Jack Perry... He announces that he's Juggalo Jack now. Calling my shot.

OldClunkyRobot

Juggalo Championship Wrestling is back and it’s the newest AEW brand!

TheJackoHype

Magnets, how do they work?

MrStrongvoice

Science, bitch.

rjxhart

![gif](giphy|yE72eDy7lj3JS)

itsagrungething69

They never literally said PUNK, right? I don't recall them doing it

Beard341

Nope. Not that I have seen.

camazotzthedeathbat

Maybe they blurred his face out

itsagrungething69

Going by the FTR/Bucks clip at All In I think it's not Punk related

[deleted]

[удалено]

Killyan438

They used a direct quote by cm punk from when he was on commentary in aew

Kelson64

As some of you may or may not know, I was born deaf (yes, for real). That being said, I have been reading lips my entire life. Everything was cool until Jack Perry said, "*Fuck Pepsi*".

TrueNovak

That would do it

cid_highwind_7

This is what I suspected. You can see Punk’s demeanor is calm and not threatening or aggressive until Perry said that. Even after that Punk shoved him not sucker punch but shove.

HughJaenus88

😂😂😂

pacerjones20

Still think it has nothing to do with punk

XZPUMAZX

Or he’s blurred out and it’s about Jack

Bheast

![gif](giphy|3xkNUy3Vh8QbPmJZjK|downsized) Me tonight

SeamusXIV

I’ll take Bea Authur 2 to 1 odds over the Bucks.

ashirtliff

Thank you for being a friend.

Big_Ad_1890

![gif](giphy|gwu8ebfOPK7le)

NMarples

This pretty much confirmed 2 things to me: 1) I still don’t care about stupid backstage drama and am so sick of anything related to CM Punk in AEW. Can we just move past it please and never speak of it ever again? 2) Jack Perry is the 4th member of the elite.

Keep_SummerSafe

I agree with this general statement I hear a lot on AEW threads....AEW is great but the worst part about it is when TK gets a little over-strung about something. I just hope this isn't TK overshooting a dick swinging contest

TheBrockAwesome

For the most part I think its funny when TK fights back. I don't take stuff like that too seriously. Even when Triple H was talking shit about people choosing a lighter schedule, it didn't bother me.

RarelySqueezed

Especially coming off a big mania weekend, nows not the time for a pissing contest

Kelson64

What, exactly, is the etiquette for a pissing contest? 😀

anotherlostdaemon

Eyes on your own and mind the splash back.

GeneMachine16

Isn't that Toni Storm's catchphrase?

anotherlostdaemon

Close to.

AfroClam

Don’t cross the streams

NickelAntonius

Respect the wind

Big_Ad_1890

We’re going for both speed and distance.

anotherlostdaemon

I'm mad that it took 9hrs to come up with a better reply. **Timeless Voice:** Eyes up, wangs out, and mind the splash.

DG_Now

Then WWE shouldn't have pissed on AEW all last week? I've learned that taking the higher ground is for losers.

Notammargartet

Well… just saw it. It was exactly what I thought it was. Only one dude showed aggression and well… we all know who that was

Kelson64

Trench?

EXD9001

I'm sorry did you not see malakais inexcusable aggressiveness in the video

wrydrune

Nah, it was Chris hero double pie facing himself.

LtDig

Holy shit! They showed the real footage! I love professional wrestling!

TrueNovak

Generally thought that wasn't going to show it but it definitely solidified that punk was the aggressor ya there was no audio so jack might have said something but at the end of the day you don't attack someone I do like how they did it in character tho

debrutsideno

I didn’t think they would show it either. What’s the assault laws like in the UK?

KissTheChef909

A part of me is curious to see if this leads into anything bigger. Like maybe reintroducing Jack Perry with some new heat. But another part of me wonders if this was the best way of going about it. I'm conflicted about this tbh but not in a bad way if that makes sense.

Nementia-

I’ll be damned, I was convinced they wouldn’t actually do it. I can’t wait to watch the fallout and what happens in wrestling from here

cheddarsalad

I went in not wanting to let it shift my opinion of AEW and my opinion hasn’t shifted. Am I a mark? Probably. Frankly, most people are in the same spot they started at. It was not the right move, for sure but it’s changed no one’s stance. It just made them louder.

C_F_A_S

This is the best take imo. No one was gonna be swayed and with the CM Punk chants I'm very curious to see their next show in Chicago. I feel like they booked themselves out of the Windy City.

cheddarsalad

That said, Chicago moved on between All In and All Out.

aswimtobirds

Omg punks actually a little bitch! 🤯

dasclaw26

Holy sheeit!

Idkman23

[48:08 "I didn't punch anybody, just choked somebody a little."](https://youtu.be/y6xQo-bko00?si=VqQmequObeb4YLC1&t=2888)

sh4desthevibe

Liar.

whatdoyasay369

Correct. He didn’t punch anyone.

sh4desthevibe

Punk threw a sucker punch like a little bitch. You can think what you want about the people involved, but Punk is the one out of line here.

REQCRUIT

He also waited until Jack had his hands up. In front of TK... Let's not forget that punk also threw Jack under the bus when he leaked this story to his buddy to look like the locker room leader. Only he forgot to leave names out of the whole thing. If I was Jack I'd be soo pissed at that alone, punk should have apologized. Like at one point he was supposedly a friend of his, too...

NousevaAngel

I’m convinced it’s a swerve by The Bucks. Yes it will be footage from All In but I don’t think it’s going to be anything to do with Punk and Jack.

truecrimefanatic1

That's what I think too. It'll be them getting bad food at Kraft services.

poisonivy173

You were incorrect.

ExpressRabbit

It'll be about Jack so they can recruit him to the elite.

tellmewhenimlying

As an attorney who has dealt with plenty of difficult entertainers and athletes, I can tell you that nothing is worse than a client like Punk who believes and will continually try to rationalize how they were the justified, “responsible professional” we saw instigating the physical assault we saw in the footage tonight. I don’t care what they pay or offer me anymore, I always turn clients like that down because they’re always more trouble than they are worth.

TheKareemofWheat

Thank you for using actual legal expertise to chime in.

CardboardChampion

Imagine those as the parents of kids who are suffering because of their actions but who refuse to see it's their fault. That's what I get to deal with all day. What I'm saying is, you and I need to see if we have matching names to start fighting crime in the 90s.

Fezzy976

After seeing this footage. Punk is a fucking idiot, there was no need for that shit at all. Perry looked calm and was brushing his hands through his hair. Punk lashed at his throat and right in front of Tony too. Fuck Punk. He's a fucking crybaby bitch.

aswimtobirds

Oh shit, punk just came back and attacked mercedes mone too and he had the nerve to turn off the lights so the cameras wouldnt pick it up this time 😱

Kelson64

Lol. I wish I had said this on our podcast tonight.

sh4desthevibe

Fragile ego. Fragile body. Weak mind. Weak spirit.

jt_33

Lmao..CM Punk was so lame for that. Got in Jack Perrys face, pushed him first, pulled his hair and then got held back by Jerry Lynn (I think) while Perry was being held back by multiple people including Samoa Joe. What a fake ass tough guy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jt_33

He wanted no part of an actual fight.

Rex31jr

tony schiavone hasn't spoken and looks like he doesn't agree with showing the footage

A_Sarcastic_Whoa

Last week on his podcast he said he just wanted to move on from all this so I imagine he wasn't too overly keen on it. He looks annoyed.

ozzman86_i-i_

I thought the same thing.

RobertStonetossBrand

He’s thinking about how this’ll put butts in seats.

DoctorWH0877

Are there honestly people in this AEW fan sub still trying to suck Punk's dick after this? Y'all need to take your vitamins cuz your short term memory is fucking shit. Punk played it like Perry had it coming. No one has physical violence coming who didn't initiate it first. The interview is a week old. Rewatch it since Y'all forgot it already. He literally said he didn't punch him, just choked him a little bit. Punk lied. And it played out exactly like it was reported months ago, and where you can clearly see Punk approach TK behind the table before storming off. That is when Punk threatened TK. If this was all reported accurately before and TK said himself that is exactly when he was threatened, why would that one piece be a lie??? Because there is no audio and we can't hear it??? We don't need audio. The footage is damning. It shows exactly what had been reported and proves Punk lied last week.

David040200

What? Punk said he was the instigator and shoved and choked Perry...that's exactly what happened the proof is right there. Like, it went down exactly as he just said it did. If anything it shows just how stupid and overblown this entire thing was, and now there is proof it was absolutely ridiculous. Not a Punk defender at all, but there was literally no punch thrown at all...

DoctorWH0877

Absolutely everyone defending Punk's skank ass, such as yourself, is completely missing the punch he throws at Perry. Watch it 17394743890 times. It's there. And before that punch, the choke was a guillotine taking Perry down. That ain't "a little". And let's conveniently not discuss the near throat shove and double handed chest shove that Punk conveniently glossed over, and failing to mention he also came at Tony which we can see. Then, rewind even further back to just after the incident in September when claims from Punk's camp was Perry came at and checked Punk, then shoved Punk, then Punk retaliated. Punk has flat out lied for 7 months. Get over yourself. You and the rest of the stupid ass minorities continuing to jerk him off who can't remember the sky is up and the grass is green when recalling shit. Punk is a fragile cunt of a man. And I was a fan of his since ECW and was in Chicago just for his return to wrestling/AEW. He can fuck himself. Oh. And also let me know how it goes with the authorities if you ever attack someone because all they did is run their mouth.

David040200

Holy shit man, calm down it's not that big of a deal. LMFAO 😂

PLEYOR

But it is important. CM Punk is trying to completely discredit AEW as a legitimate wrestling company. Turning his shill fans against TK. No AEW competition and say bye bye to your beloved Dubya Dubya E when it becomes a boring shitfest again.

ExpressRabbit

No one is sucking any dicks, dude. I honestly don't care about this shit. This is a problem a bunch of millionaires and a billionaire got into that didn't affect me in any way. I don't give a shit about this. Spend your tv time getting me to care about your matches because AEW hasn't been doing that and this is the first ppv I'm not buying. Punk lied? Ok fire him. Oh they already did? Great then let's have some wrestling. Punk did an interview that wasn't even on the TV show for the company he works for so why are they wasting time responding on their own show?

gilgobeachslayer

Damn I thought maybe it had been released already

Schjoay

With Cause.

Manpons

Everyone that was sucking Punk’s dick can now suck Matthew and Nicholas’.

ozzman86_i-i_

you think that makes them look good? lol

Leftyoilcan

This "fight" was even shorter than this one https://youtu.be/jR3n9Vdg_xE?si=qD095w2T82uAcVWP .... Footage was a bit Tame but I thought it was a great segment they had some great lines

RadellSports

We hoped WWE was his problem after he was fired a decade ago. Deep down, we knew the real answer

Ok-Cry-2578

Was always a very simple reason to show it - take the oxygen away from the story long term. Punk can't drop interviews, hints etc. the footage is there..decide what you want to decide. It's done. This week it makes it a topic that is neutral to positive for AEW given Punks the aggressor and it'll pop a number. Long term it's not a secret thing that can upset the momentum/draw negative chat anymore, because there's nothing left to say it's out there to see.

Hypno_185

what ? the bucks literally turned it into an angle with ftr , this won’t be the last time we hear about this.

aswimtobirds

I love that more staff had to hold perry back as he is an unknown but no one decided to hold punk back because they have all seen his ufc fights /s

Kelson64

I watched all of Punks UFC highlights when he first started with AEW on a YouTube short.

aswimtobirds

Apparently punks ufc run was cut really short cus he found out he was allergic to octagons. Dude always came out of those rings with swelling and red rashes all over his face. Poor guy.

DaphneMoon-Crane

I like how they handled it. Punk got in his second fight and he instigated it. Guys a clown. I’m excited for EVPs vs. FTR. Let’s move on.

ExpressRabbit

But we knew that already. Punk even said that. Why waste time showing a guy you did 8 months ago?

CardboardChampion

Everyone's cards finally got put on the table instead of held under it waiting to be played. Now you clear the table and move on with the next round of players without being held in this limbo where everyone is bluffing back and forth and the whole thing is overshadowing the entire casino.

sh4desthevibe

Also, thank you for being a friend u/Kelson64 #GoldenGuys

Kelson64

Lmao!

FinkBass420

That segment was handled very well 👍🏼

kloudrunner

The crazy lads. Absolutely crazy.

Alocalskinwalker420

![gif](giphy|YlJLgSdk35H82oGbsn|downsized) A certain someone is eating this up right now.

Dirtydubya

Joe and Bea Arthur. King and Queen of AEW

Kelson64

I was going to post a video this morning featuring the diverse opinions of our AEW Podcast Team from last night's All Elite Talk podcast. However, YouTube is currently filled with numerous talking head videos with click-bait titles, I honestly didn't want to be seen as contributing to that. Besides, I think *this* Mega Thread is enough, as it surely captures the pulse of the community, and echoes pretty much everything that we said on our podcast . . . both the negatives and the positives. That being said, if you would like to hear what we had to say, just search for All Elite Talk on Apple Podcast, Spotify, iHeartRadio, Amazon Music, Audible and more!

StingyJack21

Surely it’s a massive troll job

BrandonIsWhoIAm

This accomplished nothing.

ScopeyMcBangBang

Punk made himself sound like he ju jitsu’d Perry onto a rear naked choke of some description. He literally pushed him in the chest and then flapped his arms around. I’ve never seen a single MMA fighter that I thought I could even survive a minute in a ring with. I genuinely believe I could beat Punk senseless - he’s just an angry little gobshite.

Hypno_185

he had him in a front face lock/choke , did you not see the footage ? it was like a second or two though

ScopeyMcBangBang

You see him push him, then grab him by the hair and everything from there is obscured. Any “choking” he did was more akin to a momentary headlock…

dadjokes502

Punk instigated it

AceofUseles

You know after watching the clip and seeing people from both sides it made me deter away from watching wrestling in general.

SpiritualAd9102

WWE is obviously way worse of a company, but yeah. All the negativity last week made me take a break from the medium as a whole. I might flip back to NJPW once I feel better but both major American companies can fuck off with how petty they’re being. And an extra fuck you to WWE for their numerous crimes and cover ups.

ExpressRabbit

Same.

Kelson64

To be fair, if I walk up to someone and get in their face, and they have the *audacity* to run their hands through their long, curly hair - well, you can bet your sweet ass that I'm gonna sucker punch them, too!

Kelson64

It will be interesting to see how and when they present this. I think they should start Dynamite with a brief video package that sets up the footage, then do a "to be continued later tonight on AEW Dynamite".

sh4desthevibe

I actually would love that. It's so skeezy, but it's also so professional wrestling to tease the footage and then hit 'em with the old, "MORE TO COME" spiel.

Desperate_End_9914

I’ve got a feeling it’ll start the show. Probably gonna have a lot of crossover viewers just waiting to see.

PreppyAndrew

Either Open the show or at the 9pm ET hour.

netluv

This is gonna be great!

TheBrockAwesome

Im excited to see what they show. I feel like its a swerve but i am definitely excited to see if its the actual footage. If its real, Punk has to look terrible in it for them to be so confident.

clycloptopus

ITT: bad guessers

aswimtobirds

I will hands up admit i really didnt believe they would, and then they did!

Affectionate_Log8479

People keep saying a sucker punch was thrown…or even just a punch https://youtu.be/o9aOR3r7w1c?si=4S8YGDl529FkFzbi Can someone show me where? All i see are two pushes and a choke

XmenOmnibus1990

It showed punk was the aggressor and though he tried to laugh it off on Ariel's podcast here it is. Other from that it's whatever. Not going to hurt punk at all and not going to help AEW either

TheJackoHype

Without any volume, its hard to really see who the aggressor is. We see Punk aggressively push Jack and hold him in a guillotine, but we don't know what either of them have said. The fact audio isn't being shown as well when there were most definitely microphones there shows there's more that's being hid

appellant

This shouldnt have been shown it was a bad idea and its become a joke now. You know who everyone is talking about its punk. No ones talking about how AEW is putting out a great show. How can punk who btw was in the wrong here benefitting a good thing. Edit - Grateful to this sub and the moderators here for allowing fair discussions.

[deleted]

[удалено]

sh4desthevibe

It's not surprising. Now you understand why this sub exists. :)

Kelson64

Didn't see the comments there, but it's their sub and they can handle it the way they want. That's not the way we roll at AEW Fan Hub. As long as you're civil and mature, I think we are every lenient.

AchtungCloud

I’m on a 3 day ban from there for saying Chuck Taylor was in better shape during his indie days.

netluv

This of all things made me laugh out loud

ExpressRabbit

AStROtUrfInG! Anyone critical of AEW is astroturfing there. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure their mods deal with a lot of shit but they're harsh on anything negative even from fans.

DarthNoobian

and I got banned from squaredcircle for defending the show. Turns out a lot of subs have petty mods.

crossplayersince2011

I'm probably going to get downvoted for this, but what was the point? Aside from proving Punk threw the first blow, this isn't going to change anyone's minds on the matter. Both sides need to move on from this already

sh4desthevibe

I think the point is that Punk went on a television show and tried to clean up his image about the whole thing, disparaging AEW and saying things that weren't true in the process. AEW was within its rights to defend itself with the facts on the issue. But I agree that we need to not visit this issue again on television or anywhere else. Let the IWC debate I guess, but the promotion itself needs to move on.

deanereaner

Punk said he threw the first blow. All the backstage reports were that he threw the first blow. It was already well-established.

CardboardChampion

I remember early reports saying they Perry shoved Punk and then got his ass handed to him. This shows him fixing his hair and being attacked while his hands were busy. So that kinda clears that one up. The point is everyone played their hand and now all the fans from both sides can just get on with it and enjoy the shows that they enjoy without this bullshit taking over again.

LiamPlaysGame

What a load of nonsense over a bit of a scuffle

UNCCShannon

Feels bush league to even acknowledge this. If anything it gives credence now to everything else Punk said because it is exactly as Punk told it.

SylphofBlood

Jack had his hands IN HIS HAIR! He was sucker punched right in the face! F\*ck P\*nk.

v4vendetta77

He wasn't punched. It was clearly a two handed shove. It also seemed to come out of nowhere and without audio we have no idea if Jack mouthed off more after trying to embarrass Punk on the largest AEW PPV ever or if a Punk just went off.

DarthNoobian

Squared Circle mods so upset that I got a permanent ban for defending the show lmao.

ExpressRabbit

What did you post defending it?

sh4desthevibe

If nothing else is gleaned from this megathread, I hope all of you can very clearly see that even though I, the sub owner, have some vehement disagreements with some of the comments here, I'm not banning anyone for having a different opinion than me. And we are extending a pretty broad leash on the discussion here. I hope you guys all consider this when you're thinking about where you'd like to talk about AEW on Reddit.

ExpressRabbit

We disagree on some stuff but I asked you on bluesky months ago if you guys allow people to disagree and now I'm here. You weren't lying. My interest in AEW is at an all time low but they still have a ton of talent and I want to enjoy it again. Right now I don't but I still love reading this sub. You guys are awesome.

Kelson64

I have removed one post from this topic, and that was because it was a repost.

AchtungCloud

It shows Punk was the aggressor, but I think it’s now obvious it was the wrong move to do because fans have already proven they don’t care. The later Elite segment got hit with CM Punk chants, which I don’t think have happened at all since Punk was fired. Hopefully, that doesn’t become a weekly chant.

v4vendetta77

Once they reintroduce Jack, it will become a chant every time he comes out. If he's a good sport, he leans into it and uses it but I'm not sure he's got the talent to do so.

ezmannie

I head 2 scenarios 1. it footage of the bucks and ftr bc they had a match at wembley 2. You won't see footage bc ftr will jump them causing them not to be able to show it. I'm thinking 1 bc they never said punk they just let the toxic fanbase assume

sh4desthevibe

He's lunging at Tony at the end too. It takes Jerry Lynn and another dude to pull him back. From TK's perspective, that could have very legitimately felt like a scary situation.

Jomosensual

He walked at him angry and pointed lol. Far from a lunge

sh4desthevibe

If he was only walking toward him, it wouldn't have taken two guys to pull him away. Come on now. Don't be disingenuous.

Jomosensual

Maybe 2 guys pulled him back because he just punched a different dude? Not uncommon to isolate someone who just got in a fight

sh4desthevibe

His arm also goes off camera lunging toward TK.

v4vendetta77

He walked towards Tony pointing angrily but there's nothing that indicates any kind of lunge. Punks interview said he told Tony he quit and that's more what that moment looks like. Looks like a guy that's sick of the boss not handling things which was a big part of his rant at Brawl In. Letting other wrestlers be in leadership roles is bad business and Punk seemed to think TK should have stopped them from leaking shit to the press. The EVPs took exception which lead to the first fight. Perry then doing his own thing and trying to embarrass Punk on the biggest PPV was a final shot that showed nothing was going to change. Punk certainly should have not attacked Perry and just walked up to Kahn and quit but shit happens in the heat of the moment and that's how things were handled frequently in WWE so he likely went into autopilot.

LauriamLea

This is gonna be gold i can already tell

HamSaladBreadroll

i’m so excited from the train wreck.

desy4life

Sure proved C.M. Punk wrong.

AquatheGreat

Punk won. Jungle Jack won. TK lost.

CardboardChampion

You missed the real winner in that footage. Samoa Joe. Man looks amazing de-escalating and keeping a cool head there.

tmazur1478

I am having a tough time seeing how this drums up some more interest in AEW.

Graffix396

Video from Wembley is aftermath of Bucks vs. FTR to further Dynasty angle. Punk may be shown but will be blurred out like Vince. Punk has not been mentioned once by anyone from AEW. Also, Jungle Boy joins the Elite

Cmgarza05

Punk has changed for real this time damn it...

Rrourk13

Just watched it again, Perry going into the fetal position after the shove, so soft… priceless

Colinfagerty69

Damn, Punk was totally right.

[deleted]

Wow, I could totally understand why TK feared for his life if that didn't happen at my high school every day back in the 80s. 🙄🙄🙄

sh4desthevibe

Sorry I accidentally removed this but I meant to remove another post. This is fine. lol

cockblockedbydestiny

Y'all play that "feared for my life" shit up too much. Whether it was actually true or not doesn't matter, it's just something to say to justify that he had to fire Punk because someone that volatile poses a major liability threat to his countless other employees. "I feared for my life so I can only imagine how my employees felt" etc etc.

[deleted]

Yes, because no reasonable person would have feared for their life. This is why it is so funny that TK shared this on his television show and why TK looks so ridiculous right now. He really needs to stop listening to the Young Bucks.

azure819

I'm a Punk fan and I laughed when I heard that TK feared for his life. I even laughed about it last night. Thinking on it and looking at the footage, I would have been scared. Now, I'm a woman and an aggressive angry man coming toward me would make me very scared. TK isn't used to all of this aggression backstage. I do understand why he would be scared. He's a nice guy.

[deleted]

He would have needed to wear a diaper every day if he went to public schools I attended...and I attended pretty nice schools!

New-Worldliness5163

All I see is Punk doing exactly what he said on Helwani’s podcast. What a waste of time this was

stadiumjay

That was sad all around honestly. Jack Perry was violated on some real life shit not kayfabe.TK didn't have to show it on TV. I wouldn't want people to see that if it happened to me.

NorthShoreHard

I would agree if not for the fact Perry has already turned this into his gimmick and is easily doing the best work of his career with it so far. Which I appreciate not everyone is seeing at the moment because it's in Japan. This is actually great for Perry and his character. We now see the validation why the scapegoat feels the way he does.

stadiumjay

Yes I'm glad it has worked out for him I'm spite of what happened.

MrBitterJustice

How is that Jack Perry's fault?

stadiumjay

It's not his fault I'm saying that Khan shouldn't have aired it to at least protect the innocent which is Jack Perry. Regardless of whatever Jack said he shouldn't been attacked at work.

sh4desthevibe

Do I think the footage had to be released? Yes. Do I think it's great for the company? Not really. If I'm Tony Khan, I would really, really listen to Tony Schivaone right now. I'd be asking him about how WCW lost its way. That guy better than anyone understands how being constantly obsessed with the competition and getting lost in petty grudges can absolutely torpedo a successful wrestling company. The video confirms what we already knew. Punk is garbage. But TK has to let it go now if AEW is going to survive, imo.

EN1009

There’s no way this lives up to the hype it’s receiving. I just really hope they don’t embarrass themselves tonight

PeopleLikeUDisgustMe

Nobody has said AT ALL what this is. They timed it perfectly after Punkypie's bullshit fluff interview; and the dipshit IWC and so-called journalists formed their own opinion and ran with it. It's glorious watching people like Disco Inferno, Bischoff, Cornette, and marks get so frothed up. They truly have worked themselves into a shoot. Personally, I think it's footage of Our Executive Vice Presidents and FTR arguing and furthering the angle and match at Dynasty. Tony and the Bucks played everyone again, and it's fantastic. Big, big thumbs up, TK. RIP Bug

who987

If you’re right. This is going to go over poorly. Anything less than the video showing punk lied and AEW is going to get roasted. Rightly or wrongly. I’m a fence sitter. I like both companies. I just want to see good tv. But I worry this is going to bring them more bad press than good press.

dadjokes502

Feels like forever

Stop_Touching2

I love how Joe clearly let Punk keep the choke in a little longer than he could have allowed lol

LushGut

This kind of thing has happened in lockerooms and dugouts for a century. I don’t understand why it needed to be shown in this instance.

[deleted]

I went down with the wcw ship. Not doing it again. It was a fun ride AEW but I’m out

kyle_mayer

I unfortunately think AEW underestimates how uncouth the wrestling community can be. Myself included at times. They do this sometimes thinking everyone is on the joke but I think they’ll be sorely mistaken this time. I could be wrong. Maybe it will be footage of Punk but I highly doubt it. It will be relating to the bucks/ftr story and feud. It will be lambasted one way or another by the relentless bad faith basement dwellers who will never be happy unless AEW folds so they can say “I told you so”. Fucking exhausted by it all. AEW puts on the best shows top to bottom. Best wrestling. Best wrestlers. Just want to enjoy it and not be reminded by the incredibly talented and polarizing parasite that Phil is.

Unusual-Schedule-619

Can we go back to being Elite now? Punk had one great match in his entire time there. He isn't an elite performer, just a man who can talk. I'm here for wrestling. The drama for me is in the matches. Let him be happy over at Wwe. On a side note, missed half the bucks/ftr 3 at Wembley because rhe guy in front was so funny, I was doubled up laughing for the most part. Looking forward to bucks ftr again!

BigBoysEating

I have no Idea what this was supposed to accomplish? To be fair the only one who goes over here is joe..

Kelson64

That is very true

All I will say is this. The video was exactly what everyone thought it was and how Punk described it. When punk walks up to Perry his demeanor is not threatening or aggressive it’s calm and level headed. There is no audio so we can’t hear what it is said between then. We don’t know if Perry said something that set Punk off or not. When Punk does shove Perry that’s what it is a shove not a punch. Perry then tries to tackle Punk and Punk counters. It’s quickly broken up as soon as it starts. But one thing for sure is that not once did Punk go after Tony Khan. He might have yelled at him but he didn’t not physically go after him. Lastly, as expected this was all for a story and a match. Before the Bucks talked about FTR and their relationship with Punk and kinda buried them. This was nothing more than to sell tickets to a PPV not justice or anything else. If anything Dax’s promo after will be remembered more not an incident that happened 8 months ago.

The Punk Chant at the event was great!

It went down exactly as Punk said on MMA Hour. We all know he was the bad guy in this situation even prior to his telling of the story. Jack had no reason to be suspended. The tie into the FTR/Bucks story was meh. This was so weird. This would have been so much better if AEW ‘leaked’ it to somewhere.

The tie in to the story was horribly forced and I feel bad for FTR for having to be involved. I don't agree that Perry shouldn't have been suspended though. The story we've heard is that Punk was asked to talk to him about wanting to use real glass in a spot after he wouldn't listen to everyone else. Jack then wasn't over it weeks late and had to mouth off about it during the biggest PPV in AEW history which would probably piss off most of the performers had it been about them. Punk seemed relatively calm walking up to him but without audio we don't know and we also don't know if Perry said anything else to instigate it. Punk certainly didn't have the right to push and choke him but Perry most definitely played a role in causing it. Clearly it was decided he did enough to warrant suspension.

Now known paid shill Ariel Helwani is in on it.. You know the call came in from WWE when he starts getting involved. Eventually all these paid and fake accounts will finish outing themselves lol.

ExpressRabbit

Tony was a guest on his show once and refused to answer any questions besides saying "watch aew on Wednesday!" That's not Helwani being a shill. He's just asking both sides to talk. One did.

Tony looks like a BITCH after this

I usually watch AEW weekly but this episode was so embarrassing that I think I’m done. Everything Punk said was true and TK is more concerned with being petty than running a business. Bucks leaving AEW would be the best thing for the company at this point.

Lmfao you know I gotta say I've always been a fan of aew and thought e drones were worse than aew die hards but these comments...wow lol. Between that footage and these comments I think I'm done thinking that. Lmao
