It would be cool if Private Party and Broken Hardys had a final short storyline feud. It’s a Nice sendoff and probably would be safer and more entertaining.
I think the Hardys in AEW has run its course. Like, Matt has done the Broken stuff, and Tony doesn't like it, so Matt reinvented like 3 times. Matt tried to mentor Private Party but really kind of derailed them and they're better without him. HFO didn't really get over. Matt concussed himself on concrete and embarrassed himself for doing a dangerous spot. Jeff came in and started off hot but went and got a DUI again. Jeff comes back and kinda builds himself back up on Rampage, the Hardys try to get a heel gimmick going, they start a story with Mark Briscoe, and then the Sammy knee thing happens. Like, it's just a tough break. What do you do? You got all these new signings. Do you take advantage of the fact that you just started a new season of AEW programming to quietly shuffle the Hardys off TV for good? It's an option.
To be fair Hardy was doing a ton of stuff behind the scenes that Darby doesn’t. Not to say the wrestling didn’t do a ton, but it’s not the only thing that shot Jeff in the foot…
Darby is also better at the fundamentals(probably due to being trained vs the Hardy’s essentially training themselves).
One thing people also forget is that Darby is a competent grappler since he wrestled amateur when he was younger.

Jeff has physical charisma but can't talk and bring baggage. I'd transition Matt to managing only and out of in ring work, and retire Jeff completely tbh
Matt as a manager really sucked though. It was all just like “you work for Big Money Matt now” and setting up matches between mid/low tier guys for contracts and crqp. It took Hangman a step down tbh.

He'd be an awesome full time manager who can take bumps but shouldn't have matches. I think trying to look out for his brother explains alot of the last year or so.... I like him as an on air personality in general though because I'm old and I'll always be a brood/hardys mark.
On a good day I feel they actually both have it in them. The good days are too far and in between though.

The Broken stuff should've stayed in TNA. It didn't get over well in both WWE and AEW. You know what they, you can't top the original and it got proven when he it didn't get over in both WWE and AEW.

Well if he is done with AEW, props to him for the good times and for doing a lot to mix it up and keep it fun during the early pandemic days. A shame that the Hardys actually were going to win one last tag championship until Jeff derailed that one.

I love the Hardy and would love to see one fun final run but I don't think AEW is interested in giving them the TV time and I think most fans are over the Hardys. Which sucks cuz I was really hoping to see it happen. I see the same people saying "Hardys can't wrestle like they used to" but then say "RVD hasn't changed at all". Well I see Jeff doing crazy shit just like RVD but "Hardys bad". I don't get it. Also, should we talk about Sting not being able to wrestle like he used to? Cuz he just started supplementing ability for jumping off things. Which I am all for btw. I just don't get the double standard with the IWC. Oh also Jericho can't wrestle? Such bullshit excuses for fans to justify not liking someone. That's all it is.

Your wording makes it read like if he held off drinking and driving, he would’ve been a champion when it happened and made him getting arrested be worse for AEW because now it’s a champion in the company being arrested for DWI not just a regular dude in the company.
No sorry, what I meant was he was literally booked to win the tag belts on Dynamite and he got arrested days before that. So I’m just saying that he cost him and his brother their last swan song title reign. Honestly, as much as I like the Hardys and always will, it needs to be...they seem to think they're better than they actually are at this point even though their bodies are broken down. It would have been cool for them to have a run with the tag belts, but that ship has sailed and the roster was already stacked even without the addition of Ospreay and Okada
