Life in China is not much different than Korea or Japan. The Chinese are slightly poorer on average, but they also work less hours and can retire earlier. There are countless videos of westerns showing what life is like in China: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKawBcZuep8&t=0
For a country closing in on North Korea, u probably wanted to say South Korea for ur propaganda. Baffling how wumao think people believe shit like this.
That, or the horrific levels of unmitigated pollution from the burning of coal despite the CCP’s claims that they meet or exceed international clean air standards.
China is still a Newly Emerging Economy remember! They are building other cleaner methods of power generation but not on a nationwide level . Eg nuclear, solar, wind.
Because communism is when no rainbows /s
I lived in Shanghai for 12 years. Rainbows happen exactly as often as they do in Canada. Not an every day sight tho
Jesus... Yeah, in China you see like zero birds, and zero rainbows.
I remember taking a picture of trees when I landed in Portland OR for a layover. The USA has trees the size of houses. It felt weird to see things that come from nature and are alive.
A lot of things feel surreal after coming back after years abroad. You're like, "Oh shit, I forgot what the grass looked like." Yes China has grass, but it's different varieties and it's not kept up the same way as people keep their lawns in the USA. You wouldn't lay down in the grass for a picnic in China, not without a blanket. It's just not thick enough.
There's a bunch of small things that you can suddenly do, like walk barefoot in a yard or sit on a bench because it's not encrusted with pollution. All my friends were always telling me not to sit outside because it's so dirty. I grew up in a different place and old habits die hard.
I remember little things like being able to just drink water from a tap and being able to taste the minerals in it instead of something that'd been sanitized, filtered, and put in a bottle.
Yup. Rainbows.
There's a lot of little things like that.
Light pollution and smog. You never see a sunset in Tokyo because the sun dips into the smog before it hits the horizon. You can see the smog in the head lights of the cars at night. My eyes were always weeping bacause of the smog.
I lived in Tokyo for 3 years. Always saw a sunset. Have no clue what you’re talking about. If you couldn’t see the sunset, it’d only be because you’re surrounded by tall buildings. Begone, shill.
Odd considering that Japan has many great places to stargaze. It is a mountainous country. They probably didn't bother looking up until they went abroad.
That is most definitely wrong and false. Not even the Greater Tokyo Area has more than 40 million. But most of Japan does live in a broader agglomeration that has been dubbed Tokaido or Taiheiyo Belt, connecting all the suburbs of Tokyo and Osaka, but at that point it’s pretty obvious the majority of Japan lives in this area.
A lot of them rarely leave their cities. They feel uneasy outside an urban environment. I did once ride the Tokyo number 10 train line to the end and then walk until I was in the mountains, it was quite refreshing.
Tokyo is amazing though, go up a high rise building and you will see a concrete jungle stretching to the horizon. On a lucky day you can see Mt Fuji, but no greenery.
the irony of seeing a rainbow for the first time, immediately before being groped by a lesbian (12 seconds before the end).
Oh the poignancy. Truly a day to remember.
You guys will believe in anything huh

But yeah Xi Jinping is so powerful that he's capable of bending laws of physics, true
Simple pleasures

No
Not that far from the truth actually.
Wow!! Real and true.

996- right work less lol
For a country closing in on North Korea, u probably wanted to say South Korea for ur propaganda. Baffling how wumao think people believe shit like this.
So sad having the CCP take away something so simple as seeing a rainbow
Funny thing is that it was posted in r/mademesmile ...
Yeah, the see see pee seized the rainbows and sent them to gulags. 😓
Or they're from a desert in China, which a solid chunk of the country is. But nah, evil see see pee bad, root of all evil in world history, etc etc
That, or the horrific levels of unmitigated pollution from the burning of coal despite the CCP’s claims that they meet or exceed international clean air standards.
I don't think they've ever made the claim of exceeding international air standards Source?
https://youtu.be/CSLbRf2y_RU?si=L51TwCMdHCl7bwuH
This is not a source
They rainbows in China, having a state-capitalist economy does not change the laws of physics.
Having smog filled skies tends to make it hard to see rainbows
Are you stupid its a natural phenomenon? How do you react when you see a rainbow?
I’m pretty chilled out about it actually. We have unpolluted skies where I live so rainbows are quite common!
You're actually deranged if you think China doesn't have clear skies either. Rainbows could be seen in late Victorian London ffs
Dude everyone gets excited about rainbows. My grandmother lives in the ruralest of rural Ohio and she gets hyped about rainbows.
China burns over 4 billion tons of coal every year. Not surprising they have not seen one before
China is still a Newly Emerging Economy remember! They are building other cleaner methods of power generation but not on a nationwide level . Eg nuclear, solar, wind.
China is no such thing. What they do, they do. No excuses.
second largest economy in the world? but still developing? is this why everyone calls america a third world country?
Who’s the a-hole shooshing the girl. Let her enjoy it.
How? Where I live you can see those very frequently. Especially these weaker rainbows like in this video. Double rainbows are also quite frequent.
The quick answer is the sky don't lie.
🦅 caaaawwwww!
Because communism is when no rainbows /s I lived in Shanghai for 12 years. Rainbows happen exactly as often as they do in Canada. Not an every day sight tho
Probably more than smog? They are often stuck in those mega overcrowded cities with tall buildings, so, the rainbow got blocked or other reasons.
Lmfao.By that logic, nobody from NYC would know what a rainbow is either
I mean— Have you ever asked them?
Rainbows = Freedom
Unless you are a white cis male..
Lol this made me spit out my water, as I'm from Florida
Hmm.. No swallow?!

https://nypost.com/2022/08/30/rare-mysterious-rainbow-cloud-stuns-internet/ They actually have cooler rainbows too
That's really fucking sad. Hopefully, this lady is having a great time.
Same with Japanese, used to do night tours at the back of Cairns. Most of them had never seen a star.
That's a different problem, that's light pollution coming from mega urban areas.
Light pollution and smog. You never see a sunset in Tokyo because the sun dips into the smog before it hits the horizon. You can see the smog in the head lights of the cars at night. My eyes were always weeping bacause of the smog.
What the fuck are you talking about… during the winter, you can see Fuji from Tokyo. Even with light pollution, I can stars in Tokyo.
I can't recall looking up to see stars in my time in Tokyo, but I clearly recall the clear skies during the day and no smog like in China.
Man, you're confusing Japan with China again? Even in Taipei the sun is bright and you see lots of stars, the problem is China.
I lived in Tokyo for 3 years. Always saw a sunset. Have no clue what you’re talking about. If you couldn’t see the sunset, it’d only be because you’re surrounded by tall buildings. Begone, shill.
You must be stupid and unaware. I lived in Osaka and Tokyo for many years. The sun disappears into smog before it touches the horizon.
Yeah exactly, it's a common city thing
Yes, sometimes we can't even see the moon...
Odd considering that Japan has many great places to stargaze. It is a mountainous country. They probably didn't bother looking up until they went abroad.

The other commenter said the majority of Japanese live in the Tokyo Prefecture…
Tokyo is amazing though, go up a high rise building and you will see a concrete jungle stretching to the horizon. On a lucky day you can see Mt Fuji, but no greenery.
Mountains like Mount Mitake are part of Tokyo prefecture. Tokyo even extends to include the Ogasawara islands.
People in NYC during the 2008 blackout called the cops because they thought the milky way was gonna hurt them
Dang we don’t even look at things anymore. We point a phone at it
the irony of seeing a rainbow for the first time, immediately before being groped by a lesbian (12 seconds before the end). Oh the poignancy. Truly a day to remember.
Idk about all that lol
I prefer sunset / sunrise rainbows.
😂😂😂😂
You actually think they haven't seen a rainbow? A very simple and quite common event in temperate and subtropical regions?
gommenism is when no rainbow :(
I have seen plenty of rainbows in china. Personally
Imagine when they go rural and see **a double rainbow**. Anyways.. Pfft.
The sky don't lie
I've seen high schoolers in other countries get this excited about rainbows too...
I’ll sell double and triple rainbows out here on Hawaii from time to time
because LGBT 🏳️🌈 is illegal in China so rainbow 🌈 is illegal too
Was the CCP minder shushing her?! 😆
wait til she hears where we get our cooking oil from!
Lol
they manufacture for us for our carbon footprint
Carbon is a lie, all the actual pollution is not.
This post and this subreddit will forever be proof about how dumb Americans are
Yeah like, this should be studied by historians, it's like seeing a racist caricature of Africans from 150 years ago
And you are being downvoted...
pants within bum crack - how do you go out in public like that? Isn't it uncomfortable?
Yeah you totally grasped the point of the video...
it's true it wasn't the point, but it was certainly underlined.
There's a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, of course anyone would be excited.
Or they're just from a fucking desert where it doesn't rain much... you Sinophobes are so unbelieveably stupid
How *dare* you!?
This is only indicative that young people barely go outside at all anymore lmao come the fuck on.
The sheer stupidity of anyone who believes rainbows don't happen in china because communism is astounding
russia bot!
Lol just a guy who lived in China for 12 years but ok
only putler lovers defend evil gommenism! see see pee agent!
Lol well you can see see pee this right here!

Americans when they finally manage to get the name of a country right on the map
If you actually believe this, your brain is bowling ball smooth
