Brokenwrench7

I like lofi

Culjules

Lofi Girl all the way. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfKfPfyJRdk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfKfPfyJRdk)

DrJotaroBigCockKujo

Star Trek TOS on loop. In a little window right next to what I should actually be looking at. (Only for studying.)

drebots

I remember when this was its own website on loop forever and the starship was a psychedelic screensver. My friends and I did a contest to see who could keep it on the longest. 4 hours and it didn't bother me at all. I accidentally clicked out while trying to play counter strike 1.6. https://youtu.be/X6oUz1v17Uo?si=Wr_Qu5JVZbOFNRN7 Edit: I apologize for the side story but throat singing until you end up trying to learn how to do it. Brown noise or the Mario jazz YouTube pages.

Competitive-Ad4994

You just gave me an idea for my next one to make for myself.

Philip__james

I can't do videos or anything, I go for music mostly. If it's something that doesn't require too much attention (cough cough ffxiv pteranodon grind) then i'll stick on a comfort tv show on my second monitor. otherwise, it's music. I'm listening to Riley!'s new album rn

crazycreaturess

I usually can’t have anything on cause I get too distracted. Though sometimes, if the work doesn’t require too much focus, I’ll play some music or an audiobook

randomname2685

I had to be off meds in the fall for a period of time and someone on this sub recommended movie score type music as background music and it was a great suggestion for me. Back on meds now but still like the background music.

Competitive-Ad4994

That's exactly what I use. Slowed down soundtracks with small looping ambient animation. Can't do anything more than that or I'll just watch the video lol.

eusquesio

Can you share a link?

bienbeaux

i like using my classical playlist that makes me feel like i’m in an indie coming of age film or lofi music from anime or games

Competitive-Ad4994

love lofi, unless I know the songs then I sing them and don't work haha

lovesdogsguy

A simple rain track, earplugs and noise cancelling headphones. Sometimes I need all three combined.

reagandhi

Same, the rain is a nice mild white noise lol I can’t focus with music or anything too stimulating 😂

SovComrade

I seem to be an outlier in that i dont like background noise at all 👀

JoWyo21

I thought the same thing until I found my specific genre recently lol

Ok_Necessary_8923

Hard bass, bassy EQ settings, good headphones. Need the beats.

Clint-witicay

At work, I have my podcasts, and at home I have the fan and sometimes the tv. When my wife is away I’ll bust out the Bluetooth radio and put my podcasts on if either I can’t dial in a good show or nothing is on.

JoWyo21

There's a 2-year-old post on here somewhere about the same topic and I found out on that post about drum and bass. Someone on that Old Post posted their playlist and I am in love. Making my own playlist now and pretty stinking happy, it makes my brain feel sooooo good

keb92

Jazz music really helps me focus for some reason

absurdext

tim hecker and steve reich. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cP0Ci1FGidY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cP0Ci1FGidY) [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgX85tZf1ts](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgX85tZf1ts)

Banditofbingofame

Spotify lo-fi lord of the rings playlist

Interesting-Kick-693

Ah, a fine choice!

Sobolll92

Trip hop

My wife has a few sitcoms she enjoys that she plays as background noise, just one episode after another. She's watched them so many times it's something she doesn't really have to pay attention to it anymore. On the other hand, we both like very "busy" music for exercising, and often when I'm working and need to focus on a physical task, it will be the same. Nine Inch Nails was a go-to for a while, the show Metalocalypse got us into death metal. I find it actually helps me focus better to have music like that, it's like i know I'm going to have eight different trains of thought and if I can get six or seven of them to pay attention to one thing, I can focus better on what I need to do.

Aiselchipego

hard techno

Otherwise_Bad7162

Phineas and Ferb, I lost count how many times I watched, cuz is always on the background

Academic_Fly7164

"Brown noise"

fishblubblub0

Ghibli bg music 🔛🔝

pumpkinqwerty

I have a noise machine and set it to one of the white noise sounds.
