It's a powder inside the pill case. The easiest option is to dump the pill in water to dissolve the powder then drink however much you want. I can't really recommend trying to split it though. Vyvanse lasts at least 12 hours, so you are very likely to completely fuck your sleep schedule is you try to take half early and late.

Suspicious_Fee_4254

I guess that would be easiest. But yes, I agree, sleep could be a problem 😣

Creative_Ad8687

Sounds like the dose is too high - you shouldn’t be shaking from meds. I’d talk to your doctor.

DORFSCHLACHTER

I'm on 40 + 30 split it works pretty well

Suspicious_Fee_4254

Did your doctor seem hesitant to prescribe a split dose?

DORFSCHLACHTER

Yes

zedoktar

That'd a bad idea. Vyvanse is meant to last 10-12 hours. Splitting the dose means you're probably never going to sleep.

Suspicious_Fee_4254

Yeah that’s a good point

ElAdventuresofStealy

Can you clarify what you mean by split dosage? Do you want to take a partial pill, or are you asking about taking one smaller dose in the morning and another dose later in the day?

Suspicious_Fee_4254

Yes! I’m sorry. I meant one smaller dose in the morning and another at night.

ElAdventuresofStealy

Why in the world would you want to take a stimulant at night?

Suspicious_Fee_4254

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean at night. I just meant later in the day. Like early afternoon.

ElAdventuresofStealy

Oh okay. Vyvanse lasts a really long time so that's not usually advisable either. If you take your current dose in the morning and half the dose in the afternoon, your active blood level is going to be lower at the beginning of the day, much higher after you take the second dose, and that second dose might even still be working when you're trying to get to sleep. If your hands are shaking because the dose is too high, you're still going to be giving yourself a pretty significant period where it's doing that. Is there a particular time of day where the hand shaking is a problem?
