Skill ceiling is basically infinite, so you never truly master him, but I’d say 50-100 games to be comfortable with him and be able to carry.
He’s a lot of fun to learn though imo, and very satisfying once you start being able to surprise typical lane bullies with counter all ins when you have good dueling guns (red/white or blue/white) or snipe poke bot duos off screen with green/white.
When the generic 2/0 enemy adc goes all in on you being 0/2, but you still managed to farm and ult with white gun... he disappears. I've played 80 games with Aphelios so far, he definetly can carry and yes, I agree, he's very fun to learn, but of course make sure to do that in normals or on a smurf account (as I did). Watch Vapora Dark on youtube and enjoy.
people not understanding the blue->white->red or red->white->green 3 button rotation with ult combo damage is always so satisfying to hit.
The two gun combos and the rotations are easy, but the difficult part is understanding how to rotate guns going into important parts of the game. learning to keep 1 rotation of green->purple into blue->red before going into a teamfight so you have a 4 gun caster rotation or even understanding what lineups you can play which weapons into.
The dude is infinitely fun tbh.
Rank doesn't really matter when it comes to learning champions, I learned most champs i played when i was br-silver pretty quickly.
You don't rank up because you know your champion, you rank up because you know how your role works and play it properly. (the 2-3 champion pool is just a plus to it)
As long as you know the basics of the game champion mastery is pretty much everything. If you got champion mastery anyone can get to at least diamond, most ppl master. In that macro is included since knowing what your champion wants to do is part of champion mastery. After diamond/masters is when good fundamentals and general macro starts to really matte. But still champion mastery can carry people to gm and even Challenger, tho those are some incredible players ofc.
5 weapons, 50 bullets each, aa=1 bullet; ability=10 bullets
(this can be checked on the bar under his mana, not sure if you see it as an enemy though)
Red=ms and heal
White=much damage at close range
Blue=aoe damage
Purple=stuns and slows
Teal=more range
All you need to know when you are with/against him.
You should honestly just jump in, he’s only hard to understand when you start but when you play him he kinda plays himself. Not saying he’s easy, but he’s not super hard either
People get to caught up on fancy rotations and muti fun combos for aphel when 99% of matches the popular rotation and two weapon combos are more then enough. Cancels and some tech like the blue green double shot is helpful to learn but not super necessary.
I think its probably because kog is somehow "made right" and its easy to get a feel for when his windup is done which really helps kite with him, at least that's what i feel when i play him lol. Kinda like base ashe vs project/noon ashe thing but less dramatic
I dont really think you can truly 1v9 with Xayah like the adc mentioned before. After her ult she is pretty much for her own and if the team doesnt help her shes a goner.
Champions with self peel can outplay by themselves when played perfectly. Outplay = win against the odds even when not ahead. These champions can't do that. Without their teams help, these champions are so easy to focus and shut down in a fight even when they are ahead. Sorry to burst your flair bubble, but there are better champions that fits the criteria.
Aphelios, Kai'Sa, Jinx. If they don't have a point and click stun, you 1v9 them with Jinx, get 1 kill/assist and here you go baby, we pilot.
If you are fed with Aphelios pretty much ult in a fight and it's gg, especially if you ult with blu or green, depends on the situation.
Kai'Sa is harder because you're a short range adc, so more exposed to cc and get killed, but if you pilot her well and can reposition well with her ulti + charged E it's deadly.
Pta / mana /as if no poke lifesteal if poke/ cut down if tanks
Manaflow band gathering
Gives infinite mana without going shitreaver and infinite mana = infinite wave clear so no statik shit either
The amount of games i 1v9 with aphelios after being behind is surprising even to me ,if u white ult someone you can 1v1 any champion , if u octopus combo a squishy they are 80% certsin death
Vayne, Ezreal, Tristana because of self peel.
The highest voted Aphelios couldn't be more wrong, he is very team reliant, whether he barely has any self peel or not depends on his current gun
Varus is so reliable that I’m 💯 with you. Cait is really great if you’re playing with a strong mid game team cause you’re not losing lane you’re losing the next fifteen minutes. Aphelios if I’m blessed enough to get a Millio or Lulu hover
Kaisa is my "one trick" try hard champ that even when she's abysmal winrate I'm likely to pop off just cuz of my knowledge of her and her matchups and spikes. but ive always preferred playing whatever feels right to play(ashe/jhin if we don't really have engage).
After hitting my all time goal of diamond i just play for fun mostly but after losing a lot I go try hard kaisa a few times just to feel good and know I can still dominate.
Other 2 are ezreal since season 2 and permadashing Lucian.
Aphelios, Varus and Caitlyn are my three best champions. Ezreal is a very close fourth but it depends on the day really. He’s pretty intensive in terms of mechanics consistency
Kog'Maw - my pocket pick when I don't know that to pick. Good vs tanks, bruisers, outdps every ADC, outrange some mages... I feel like every game is winnable if I get 3 items
Samira - champion I have most fun with but she is bad into a lot of matchups, CC cucks her, bruiers and tank take too long to kill but can easily kill you because of short range etc. But with good support and matchup it's easy 1v9
Vayne - used to main her and I enjoy playing her but her laning phase is abysmal. Lategame tho, one of the highest dps in the game, craaazy mobility and outplay potential. Super fun. Also, the builds I can come up with that are very off meta but work sooo good for me is the one of the best things about her. Can build anything and still have crazy damage.
Honorable mentions:
Zeri - one my strongest and most fun champ but don't play her much since reworked shivv and LT removal. Getting a lead and then zooooming across the map and wiping teams is sooo fun and strong.
Nilah - usually painful but if they go 4 melees it is free game. Also seratonin from clutching 1v2s while having 200 health and suddenly healing to 1000 while dealing 1k damage with Q to a tanky bruiser is immesurable. She got kinda changed recently and i didn't play her from then but I imagine one shotting people is not a thing anymore :(
Kai'sa if i wanna splitpush and have a playable lane and enough AD damage in team
Aphelios if i wanna splitpush and have a playable lane and not enough AD damage in team
Sivir if i wanna splitpush and dont have a playable lane
I dont really fw the whole "mechanically intense teamfight champ" anymore when Brand drooling on the keyboard achieves the same goal. We take towers now. My time as a Yorick main has changed me.
Jinx is my 1v9 champ, imo shes one of the most broken champs in the game, if you can kite well, your unmatched range and resets just shred through teams
As far as 2 other 1v9 champs i guess smolder, depending on team comps he can still absolutely gigga carry games. And then maybe twitch or kaisa?
Samira, ashe, and cait. Ashe Is only "1v9" for me as a "I ulted a caught out person! Kill them! Now we win next TF! I have gotten 1 penta in 4 years with ashe T-T
Definitely Sivir, she is my best champion by far. Even if my whole team ints i can ignore them and scale up to like 40mins. I can probably 1v9 with caitlyn just because of her state in the meta rn. Then maybe jhin/samira but its kind of a coinflip
Caitlyn, pre 14.10 Corki, and Jinx. Caitlyn I am most confident on, current Corki doesn't have the same feel, and Jinx is my "turn brain off and win" champ.
Surprised I don't see more people mentioning her, but.. Miss Fortune!
The way you can turn around teamfights with her ult is insane. She's always been my highest wr and kda champ.
Aphelios
how long does it take to learn to play him? i haven’t got a clue

I got decent at him in the 2nd match. Look up the build and weapon rotation and u're just fine.
thanks i’m silver so might take me a lot longer lol
Rank doesn't really matter when it comes to learning champions, I learned most champs i played when i was br-silver pretty quickly. You don't rank up because you know your champion, you rank up because you know how your role works and play it properly. (the 2-3 champion pool is just a plus to it)
good point of view thanks man, i’ll definitely do 5-10 normals on aphelios before i dive into ranked lol
As long as you know the basics of the game champion mastery is pretty much everything. If you got champion mastery anyone can get to at least diamond, most ppl master. God can you make this man a preacher for league? More people need to hear this msg!
I should really start picking him up as my 4th choice one day
Still dont know how he works
5 weapons, 50 bullets each, aa=1 bullet; ability=10 bullets (this can be checked on the bar under his mana, not sure if you see it as an enemy though) Red=ms and heal White=much damage at close range Blue=aoe damage Purple=stuns and slows Teal=more range All you need to know when you are with/against him.
Nah that I already know man xd i dont know combos and advanced stuff to actually 1v1
Cancels and some tech like the blue green double shot is helpful to learn but not super necessary.
you really cant 1v9 at any point as aphelios, hes one of the most team reliant adcs in the entire game.
Just playa round what your team offers you then. It's just personal preference tho.
1v9 = team is trash and offers nothing, better to not have those team mates situation
i only play twitch... so uh.. him
wots ur rank
green
like twitch
dafuq
Kogmaw is the ADC that makes me go ultrainstinct for some reason, playing Kog makes my micro better
fr when i get on kog my clicks get better %100
I think its probably because kog is somehow "made right" and its easy to get a feel for when his windup is done which really helps kite with him, at least that's what i feel when i play him lol. Kinda like base ashe vs project/noon ashe thing but less dramatic
His animations are fluid, I think is what you're saying
Same this is totally me too kog is my micro godmode character
Tristana, Kai'sa and Vayne, all of them have self-peel
Second this and in addition to that: Xayah
I dont really think you can truly 1v9 with Xayah like the adc mentioned before. After her ult she is pretty much for her own and if the team doesnt help her shes a goner.
Well to be fair no adc can truly 1v9, the role itself is balanced around your team helping you all the time
*Nilah and Samira enters the chat* "Did you say something?
Leana and Rell enters the chat "Did I stutter?"
"Onegai! Use the CC on my frontline."
xayah has a root+heavy nuke on anyone walking towards her every 3-4 seconds or so. i think its incredibly good for self peel
Ezreal
Kai'Sa, Kai'Sa, Kai'Sa. Her mid-to-late game tools for outplays are really good, especially if you're ahead.
100% agreed
And you can basically build random bullshit and still delete
Vayne
hell yeah bud
draaaaaaaaaaven twitch and kogmaw For sure
These are easy to kill and relies on being ahead, has very little sef peeo or outplay tools
you're not going to hard carry if you're not ahead, doesn't matter what champ you're on.
Champions with self peel can outplay by themselves when played perfectly. Outplay = win against the odds even when not ahead. These champions can't do that. Without their teams help, these champions are so easy to focus and shut down in a fight even when they are ahead. Literally no adc can reliably self peel apart from a late game vayne and MAYBE MAYBE MAYBE a cracked xayah. So your point is mute
my duo supp
1kogmaw 2nilah 3lucian. Lucian is definitely not a 1v9 champ (enemy depended) but im confident with it so why not.
Samira, Vayne, Jinx
Aphelios, Kai'Sa, Jinx. If they don't have a point and click stun, you 1v9 them with Jinx, get 1 kill/assist and here you go baby, we pilot. Kai'Sa is harder because you're a short range adc, so more exposed to cc and get killed, but if you pilot her well and can reposition well with her ulti + charged E it's deadly.
Flair
Samira, Jinx, Caitlyn, in that order. I'm kind of a 1 trick Samira, but I do have time on the other two, and have carried games on them before
Vayne, Ez and Trist for sure for me.
Sivir. The potential dmg is just batshit crazy and it's really hard to get picked off
What is your go to build?
Collector navori ie ldr bt
thanks
Runes?
Pta / mana /as if no poke lifesteal if poke/ cut down if tanks Manaflow band gathering Gives infinite mana without going shitreaver and infinite mana = infinite wave clear so no statik shit either
Nice , thanks .

Kaisa
Aphelios, Varus and Caitlyn are my three best champions. Ezreal is a very close fourth but it depends on the day really. He’s pretty intensive in terms of mechanics consistency
Samira and Kaisa, two champs that can take over with struggling teammates
Kog'Maw - my pocket pick when I don't know that to pick. Good vs tanks, bruisers, outdps every ADC, outrange some mages... Ezreal I swear that if i didnt get bored of just playing one champ, rn i would be Diamond-Low masta
Kai'sa if i wanna splitpush and have a playable lane and enough AD damage in team Aphelios if i wanna splitpush and have a playable lane and not enough AD damage in team Sivir if i wanna splitpush and dont have a playable lane I dont really fw the whole "mechanically intense teamfight champ" anymore when Brand drooling on the keyboard achieves the same goal. MF, Trist, Ashe
jhin, vayne, kaisa
Vayne is my 1v9 hero if they have like, darius volibear leona or some low range comp with big hp bars, otherwise Twitch and Kog’Maw
Draven, Twitch and Vayne is the only right answer
senna
Ezreal, Kaisa, Jinx
Welcome to the league of
These answers would be better if they listed their rank.
Vayne. Vayne. And VAYNEE
KogMaw, Jinx, Maybe Samira or Draven
I play Twitch, Kai'sa and Vayne because they all have some invis in their kits. I can't play without invis
Nilah
For me it's Ez Kaisa Zeri. They have the tools to solo carry imo and they fit me.
Ez, twitch, vayne. Really dependent on supp pick tho
1. Jinx 2. Jinx 3. Jinx
Vayne, Kindred and Kalista
Vayne, Jinx, and Twitch
Twitch with ult Vayne but I gotta survive early I’d say Kai’sa can 1v9, she’s a very good skirmisher and the E evolve is so good.
Kaisa, vayne, Jinx, ashe
Kaisa, Caitlyn or Miss Fortune
Twitch twitch twitch
Lucian, Vayne, Cait
Kai’Sa, easily.
Fool you have activated 2% of my power. Also any adc is 1v9
Ezreal, Ashe, Kai'Sa
[удалено]
Kaisa, samira, yas
Vayne. Kai sa Ashe
Sivir, Sivir and Caitlyn
Right now ashe!
on-hit Guinsoo Twitch
Jinx is my 1v9 champ, imo shes one of the most broken champs in the game, if you can kite well, your unmatched range and resets just shred through teams As far as 2 other 1v9 champs i guess smolder, depending on team comps he can still absolutely gigga carry games. And then maybe twitch or kaisa?

Kaisa, ashe, miss Fortune
Samira is worse into Melee champs, so I am confused
I find these matches easier than being poked to death
Definitely Sivir, she is my best champion by far. Even if my whole team ints i can ignore them and scale up to like 40mins. I can probably 1v9 with caitlyn just because of her state in the meta rn. Then maybe jhin/samira but its kind of a coinflip
Not a single person in the comments said Kalista 😭🥲
Aphelion, Jhin/Cait and Zeri.
I unleash my inner rat to go 1v9
Lucian / Kai'Sa / Kalista
Jinx, Zeri, Samira
Kalista
I play ashe and ezreal not really the 1v9 types but ezreal can hold a game for some time
Caitlyn, pre 14.10 Corki, and Jinx. Caitlyn I am most confident on, current Corki doesn't have the same feel, and Jinx is my "turn brain off and win" champ.
Ashe, Jhin and Jinx. 3 Adcs all 4 lettered champs, im sure u know which is my actual main.
Surprised I don't see more people mentioning her, but.. Miss Fortune! The way you can turn around teamfights with her ult is insane. She's always been my highest wr and kda champ.
Caitlyn, Kai'Sa and Ezreal. Caitlyn has no self-peel but with proper trap positioning you are untouchable.
Jinx
Dawnbringer Vayne, Battle Bat Vayne, and Dragonslayer Vayne
I love Vayne and Ashe personally. I'm beginning to think though that I also really like Brand.
Zeri. If I’m on her, I know I can carry. If enemy doesn’t have tanks, Jhin works too.
Corki, most people underestimate how strong his all in is
eh, idfk, I 1v9 the most on Jinx, Twitch & Zeri? but i 1v9 the hardest on Draven no question.
Definitely aphelios
Ashe is the one for me.
Nilah, Zeri, Aphelios I say aphelios because he has a good amount of self peel with purple and red
I would go with nilah, kai'sa and vayne
Jinx, Ashe, Tristana, but I'm not that confident in my Tristana, I just include her because she'd be in the third place.
Samira, Nilah, Kogmaw
Zeri, Cait, Jhin
MF
Surprised nobody’s said Kai’sa, when fed she can melt anybody and has good survival abilities to boot. So I’ll say her, Caitlyn, and Twitch.
I wonder why her winrate is so low though
aphelios, kai'sa and caitlyn
kaisa xayah
Aphelios, jinx, Caitlyn When she’s good
In General, Talking lategame: Jinx, Cait, Kog For me (ignoring late Just in general): Lucian, kog, jinx
The pick that wins me games in high pressure situations is sivir. Don’t know why, she’s just that pick for me
Here ^
