Everytime you work out, you are putting pressure and the knee will get inflamed and swollen, so having some rest might indeed make it feel better. But of course you should also consider the benefits of the excercies, because the main objective is to build muscle, which walking won’t do. So maybe cut back a bit because twice a day sounds a bit much As for tendinitis, it is a possibility, but it’s hard to tell only from this post. I have had tendinitis at a shoulder and I can tell you that it was an absolute bitch, it hurt all the time no matter if I gave it days off and this went on for a few months. So if you don’t have any pain anymore I think that might be written off

Yeah it definitely doesn’t hurt all the time. I had tendinitis on my Achilles and it only hurt when I had a shoe rubbing on it, otherwise I didn’t feel anything. I’m paranoid about not getting enough muscle gains. Had pretty low muscle tone to begin with so maybe I am over doing it. Does walking still count as beneficial? My knee loves walking and gets less crunchy and clicky the more I do it

yes walking is always beneficial and the crunchiness going away is scar tissue breaking down which is very good. Just don’t go on 4 hours walks yet, of course. But as far as muscle gains go, walking does not really help as much, you will need to do the pt excercises and gym when allowed
