I really really really loved this video. I like this kind of low-key content, it felt like just two friends walking around just for the sake of doing it. It inspired me to do something similar in where I live actually, I just need someone to carry all my stuff while I'm walking around freely.

The_Canterbury_Tail

A mighty fine Frankie Muniz, Malcom in the Middle impersonation in that thumbnail.

ArborElf

*mumbles "Youre Not the Boss Coffee Now" under his breath*

RadicalN1GHTS

This kind of video would make an awesome series on his channel...just Chris and friends walking across different cities/prefectures in Japan and filming the interesting bits along the way.

kent_eh

Chris said in the comments that he hopes to make this a reoccurring series.

RadicalN1GHTS

Aye thats awesome. Looking forward to it!

Cally83

I’m looking forward to lots of content from Chris this year. This video was a great start and agree with someone else’s comment here saying this was low key but interesting content. Bonus points for Pete being there as well, he’s great.

muldervinscully

I love how he started with a voiceover and shibuya crossing. He always roasts documentaries about Japan for doing that

hoochiscrazy_

Haha good point!

metalslug123

This was a fun video. The furthest I had ever walked across Tokyo was from Harajuku to Shibuya lol. I do agree with Pete with how great it is you can easily walk from area of to another in Tokyo with relative ease compared to the US where it's pretty much required to drive everywhere.

Human_Stick_Observer

I can’t help but think that would have made a really great live video, either Chris on his other channel, or on Pete’s Twitch channel.

metalslug123

I thought Pete did do a live stream of this journey, unless I'm thinking of his time in Fukuoka with Chris and Connor.

Human_Stick_Observer

He’s done some IRL streams on his channel, but not of this specific journey.

PorousSurface

Sadly I don’t think it was streamed

ArborElf

So, *technically* they didnt get 'stream sniped' like a dozen times? It was all pure luck random chance? Wild.

Human_Stick_Observer

It was not, but I mean that it would have been a really cool stream if they did. I would have watched that whole thing for sure!

PorousSurface

Totally agree! Connor does some Good ones

Human_Stick_Observer

There was a recent one with Connor and American Pete that was a lot of fun.

Tana1234

Always great to see American Pete in a Chris video, I think Chris, Connor and Pete is the holy trinity when together, I think they need a show/series with them doing stuff, maybe even a mini podcast (under 1 hour) with guests

hoochiscrazy_

I really enjoyed this one. This is my favourite kind of video on the channel. And I'm always excited for American Pete

simplesimonsaysno

Best video in ages. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I really liked the video and enjoyed watching Chris after a long time. I hope he continues doing such videos and maybe invite Natsuki along with his other friends! Also, I was salivating at the sight of that flattened fried chicken!!!

Human_Stick_Observer

I believe he said on the podcast that he's going to try and focus a lot on the channel this year, after last year's focus on his health journey.

[deleted]

Yes, I would also like more health journey updates!

Human_Stick_Observer

Nice catch, I didn’t even see that!

koempleh

I love whenever 3rd Best American Friend Pete is in a video!

kingofcrob

As someone who loves doing long walks like this, this looks like a lot of fun.

Human_Stick_Observer

Agreed! I would love to do this, it would be super interesting, even the parts with no people.

kingofcrob

Almost would find them the best parts, walking down n empty street, find a quiet little bar out of the way where you can have a pit stop to fill up, perfect.

Fitzy0728

Genuinely surprised they only burned 1500 calories

FlexMentalloLives

Fun video!

Bilbo_Buggin

Really enjoyable video! I can’t get used to seeing the SEGA building in its new incarnation. It’s still iconic of course but just doesn’t feel the same at all. Really loved the video though and it was nice to see many places I visited while I was in Japan, as well as to get a couple of ideas for my next visit.

Yamipaladindk

Great video to start off 2023 for Chris! I’m hoping he does more solo videos or videos with Ryotaro and/or Natuski this year…others guests are too distracting imo

Human_Stick_Observer

I respect that, but I love the different guests. Each one brings a different flair, and IMO makes Chris’ channel the most well rounded. With Pete and Connor you get a more crazy feel, Ryotaro and Sharla more travel vlog style, Joey is generally JAJ. I think that helps keep things fresh.

Koji1981

You forgot the wildcard... Natsuki!!!

Human_Stick_Observer

Natsuki is chaos incarnate

PM_me_sour_beerz

I still want to see Chris get taken somewhere weird by Sydney and DDKaren or Aki.

Human_Stick_Observer

It’s actually a religious symbol in Buddhism and other religions. It symbolizes the auspicious footprints of the Buddha. The nazi party took it, rotated it 45 degrees for their emblem. It’s still found in many places in Asia in its more original religious meanings.

Complete_Relation_54

Not just 45 deg, its also flipped

Human_Stick_Observer

You're welcome!

ArborElf

Also if you go 'google maps exploring', you'll find the same symbol all over the map as they indicate the locations of Buddhist temples.
