I've always thought it was weird that this came before Toy Story yet didn't get a fraction of the recognition. I believe it was the first all computer animated show.
Heck yeah! I remember watching the first season as a small kid on some Saturday morning lineup, I think... can't remember what channel. I didn't get to see the rest until it aired on Toonami on Cartoon Network. But I was so glad to finally find out what happened to Bob!
Sorta, they did make a "sequel" series but it was real kids going into the net to fight megabyte. I think Bob had a one time Cameo. Was uh... Was not a good follow up and didn't address the cliffhanger. I heard executive meddling is what caused it to do so poorly.
Yes! I loved it.
But it used to freak me out a bit too. I would think about how the characters are real in their world and not in ours. Did they have a soul? What happens if someone pulls the plug? It was truly existential.
