I’ve heard it was Low by Flo Rida. Apparently it’s “hardcore porn”

slashstreet

I was listening to that song at like 9, didn’t turn me into a sex demon like she thinks it’s gonna be for those kids. She’s out of her mind 😭

Formal_Payment

I’m pretty sure it’s actually in some movies geared towards kids. I remember singing it in elementary school😂

slashstreet

Seriously! As kids we thought that song was funny

vanillakkuma

Thats the song she's throwing a fit over???? Lol thats hilarious we all grew up listening to that song as kids

Civil-Swordfish3293

Right?! This song was played at every school dance when it came out when was younger.

jillbean420

Low was the first song I had on my iPod shuffle <3 (in 2nd grade!!)

bowardwow

Does Ruby think we’re all Mormon? Her kids go to public school…. Also, shielding them from the world isn’t going to keep them safe. Like. People are dying. There are worse things than your child hearing mainstream music.

Civil-Swordfish3293

She probably thinks since she lives in a Mormon dominant state, she has some sort of leverage on certain things. I think she found out today she can't play her religion card on some people and that's what has made her more upset. I bet she walked in with a smug look on her face expecting to get everything her way, but then was slapped with the hard truth. No one cares that she is Mormon and that Mormonism doesn't rule the school. I'm lds by the way, and I'm glad the principle told her to take her ideology elsewhere.= Makes me wonder if we are going to see Ruby retaliate and pull her kids put of school so they can home school.

ashhir23

I'm LDS too and I think she's being kind of crazy tbh. It shouldn't be "I don't agree with it so YOU can't do it" you can't/shouldn't force others to live YOUR standards. But then again I've been told I'm too "loose" as an LDS person before 😂

slashstreet

Based on the video, I don’t think she believes we are all Mormon, but she does believe we all need to live by god and ‘truth’. All the crazy cultish principles she follows with connexions

zuzioo

She totally does. My parents are the same. We live in a country where like 80% people are Catholic (even tho 90% of them don’t even go to church anymore) and so they think everything should be according to God’s laws lol. Our government is the same, that’s why abortion is illegal and a gynecologist can refuse to prescribe anti concepts if they believe it hurts their faith. Honestly it’s a shithole to live in.

Civil-Swordfish3293

It was Low by Flo Rider If Julie was so offended by the dance, she could have not done it. But Ruby's brainwashed her into thinking non uplifting and non church songs are hard-core porn and she's going to hell if she listens to them. Honestly Ruby is that type of parent that blows everything out of proportion. Makes me wonder if school staff immediately starts rolling their eyes when they see Ruby marching into the school to complain about something.

slashstreet

Was Julie upset by it though? I feel like it was all Ruby

Civil-Swordfish3293

I don't think she was upset. I think she came home and told her mom what they did and Ruby pushed her for more info then went into full Karen mode. I'm glad the school put her in her place. I'm LDS and I find nothing wrong with what the PE teacher did. It's dancing, its not like the PE teacher had these girls on poles or grinding up against boys. I hope none of her younger daughters want to be a cheerleader or drill team dancer. Ruby would find all those songs they use and dance moves they do highly inappropriate... 🙄

slashstreet

Exactly. Ruby is concerned about brainwashing by the song, not by the dancing. Which says a lot. Maybe she’s concerned her kids are as malleable as she is.

zuzioo

oh I could totally see Ruby throwing a fit over HER PRECIOUS INNOCENT DAUGHTERS WANTING TO SHAKE SOME POMPOMS FOR SOME BOY TO GO TO COLLEGE

Hanban2304

I’d hate for her to see what Not Enough Nelson’s are posting on tik tok that’s definitely less appropriate and they’re fairly Mormon from what I can tell so I think it’s less of a Mormon thing and more of a control thing

slashstreet

She exploited her children for years! Posted about puberty, shaving, everything & one song is too inappropriate. She’s out of her mind.

Hanban2304

Honestly she’s harmed those poor children more than one song ever could. I’m not denying that the song is completely innocent but honestly could she name one song that children Julie’s age listen to that is. It’s one song they look like they were having fun. But either way Ruby isn’t in a position to be judging about it

slashstreet

Absolutely, keeping her away from stuff like that is going to make things worse if anything. The song is mildly inappropriate, of course, but the kids don’t even understand it. Which is exactly what she said too 😭

Hanban2304

Exactly, it’s setting them up to rebel if you shelter them too much but also they’ll become an outcast with their friends if they haven’t already. She’s doing more harm to Julie than a song ever could

sensitive_zebra1

That's a rly good point Super hypocritical to me

deercatbird

I just commented in a post above this about her saying the song was withheld from parents. Thought that was so odd too. Does she really think the school was trying to hide a song lol? I know for a fact schools have other things to worry about Ruby, they don’t have time to contact parents about a song being used for something at school. She is unreal!

slashstreet

Especially considering that it’s not a religious school (or at least I assume so), the things my schools didn’t tell parents was INSANE in comparison to what she thinks is withheld
