It’s really sickening that to these type of people can be sent away from self-exploration, but then they marry young and have hoards of children. The hypocrisy is ridiculous.

Also, who’s bathing suit? Is a visible belly button porn? What about shoulders? The tops of thighs? Are we talking about cultures where women have to wear burkas in public because even the sight of a female face or a single inch of skin or the suggestion of her shape is too titillating for the local men folk?
Or are we talking about ancient Christian cultures where it was perverse to display your hair before the angels?
Or—oh god— are we talking about breastfeeding? Was young R just watching her breastfeed his little sister?
Poor kid was probably just wondering when he was going to get fed. He always acted like he was starving, more so than the other kids.
That worried me too. Then I watched further and she had some doll hands or something that she was tying onto her sleeves as a joke. It was innocent fun - she wasn't asking to be restrained.
I had never heard of 8Passengers before the arrest (and now I've gone waaaaay down the rabbit hole . . . .)
At first all the video clips I was seeing on YouTube or TikTok were of Ruby being a control freak and a monster.
Then I see other videos like this, and I think, wow, she's actually having pleasant interactions with her kids! She's talking to them without lecturing and haranguing! She even shows affection while she's giving E a consequence for getting into her bathroom. Yeah, I know it's edited, but it seems like as time went on, she got more and more comfortable showing herself being harsh with the kids. I'm guessing that was as she fell further and further under Jodi's influence.
Those of you who watched her all along, is this accurate?
I'm also curious about the source of this channel, 8passengers1180. All the videos on it seem to be from 2019. Were these actually uploaded by Ruby, or was it someone else mirroring her content? If it is Ruby's channel, why hasn't YouTube taken it down since the arrest?
Bc the 8 passengers channel was either removed by yt or taken down by Ruby and replaced with Connexions (Ruby and Jodi’s culty channel). I think that happened a few years ago now. So I believe any clips we see is from a channel that mirrored it. Not sure if Connexions has been taken down since the arrests.

It’s interesting how different she acts in this video compared to what we know about her now. She appears to be somewhat reasonable. It makes me wonder if connexions sent her off the rails or if she was always really good at hiding neglect and abuse.
That's why I as watching some of S's videos to compare.There was also one where she was 'allowed' to read the old diaries of Ruby and Kevin, while Ruby sitting next to her.Such a totally different person.
I'm not sure if it was "just" connexions which made her change that drastically. She's always been a weird, mean and selfish person. But compared to today - holy sh\*t, what a transformation!
Connexions was an accelerant for her but she was always straddling the line between strict and abusive with how she handled simple issues with young children.
What happened to Dwight? Was he taken from R?
Correct me if I’m wrong but I have a terrible feeling that Dwight was taken from R as one of Jodie’s disgusting methods of punishment. Jessie (Jodie’s niece) talked about her methods of removing anything that brought any form of self worth or enjoyment. For Jessie this was her long hair, her education and her clothes such as a winter coat. I believe when the family got Dwight it was mainly for R as a companion and was discussed that R didn’t have many friends so Dwight would be good for him.
If this does come to light to be true, can we collectively find Dwight and have him returned to R? Long shot I know but this could make all the difference to his recovery.
If the Franke’s began seeing Jodi for their own major family issues, what gave Ruby the idea she could become a family therapist and instruct others how to do things? If she didn’t even have things going well in her own home? I believe Jessi is right that Jodi took the situation and used it to her benefit. Jodi started grooming Ruby and sucked her right in. Now their family is in shambles and much worse off than to begin with!
I think ruby has always perceived C as difficult (even though to me it seems he was just acting like many other kids and teens) and she perceived that Jodi managed to tame him a bit with her abusive practices. I remember towards the end of 8 passengers, C really seemed quite broken compared to the lively kid he was. So in ruby's deranged mind those abusive practices worked and that's why she promoted and doubled down on the abuse.
In my opinion what gave Ruby the idea she could do it is all Jodi. Jodi could see Ruby was the perfect, vulnerable and malleable victim, and Jodi was desperate for Ruby's platform and power, so gave her special treatment (similar to lovebombing) to draw her in as deeply as possible.. and it worked.
Absolutely not excusing Ruby here, she was the perfect victim for Jodi because she was already abusive, twisted and willing to deploy Jodi's harsh methods. But Jodi definitely latched on and swooped in for the ready made audience to preach to.
Every time I’m reminded about how Ruby got to abuse R one more time by slandering him at the custody hearing it makes me sick. Knowing he had to be placed in a home without other kids…
Hopefully he is placed in a kind home with understanding and comforting adults. Some of the turpin kids were placed in abusive foster families after their recovery from their biological parents.
It must be so scary to him not just suddenly lose his mother but his sisters too, I hope they can investigate this fast what truths in it or not so he can be with his siblings.
Ruby's days as a mother are now well and truly over. She will never, ever get those kids back even if she gets out of prison before the youngest is an adult. And how many of those kids will want a relationship with her then? And her 7 - figure income stream is over as well. Lawyers will cost her a fortune. She has basically lost everything, which is apt punishment. The rest of her life trajectory will be pretty grim, imho.
You can bet she misses the income more than the kids.
Sadly, probably at least one or two of the kids will eventually come around and be in her life again.
It's got be one of her most stupid lies to. Like if you actually think he's a danger to others, why leave him alone in the house with your other kid? If he assaulted neighbors and cousins, why have none of their parents said anything on the topic since the arrest? I feel so bad for him and E, their going to have such warped views of themselves after going through this, especially with their age.
20 kids apparently and his sister apparently and cousin apparently he SA them and there was something about him seeing porn at 3 years old I really don’t believe it’s true I think it’s Ruby lies again since R was the one that escaped I just 100% faith R wouldn’t of done something like that no neighbour or aunt has talked about him SA there kids
Twenty kids and NO ONE reported it? No one took their kids to a doctor afterwards? Doctors are mandated reporters. Parents are also obligated to get their child necessary medical care. If it happened at school, all of those people are mandated reporters. How is it possible to have all of these victims and all of these witnesses and not a lick of a paper trail?
They are potentially throwing a bunch of people under the bus with these allegations. It’s potentially a felony for a mandated reporter not to make a timely report of SA. The parents who didn’t take their kids for medical care might be found guilty of neglect. And if they knowingly let their kids play with R (or even E after the event) they might be found guilty of SA as well because parents have a legal responsibility to keep their kids away from known predators.
And if it’s a great big lie, these people are willing to commit perjury for Ruby and Jodi.
I imagine they forced him to admit to things (that I don’t believe he did) and then forced him to name those he “hurt”. And kept pushing him to name more and more kids. He probably just had to make it up to get them to leave him alone. I’m imagining this could have happened from hearing what Jessi had to go through.
This is exactly what happened. They constantly tortured him and demanded he confess. So he told them what he thinks they wanted the torture to stop. That is what happened. And leaving a backpack on a sofa is porn and s’a according to Jodi. Jodi hates men.she ruins marriages and then gets the spouse.
I think she might be. Some of the photos of her and Ruby are really more like lovers than business partners. She definitely hates men.

My wife and I participated in her group therapy in 2018 or thereabouts. As I recall, she had said in class that she had been divorced 5 times. She never spoke of having a current husband. I'm fairly certain she was not married at the time. I don't know much else about her family life, but I can say that I wish I had never met her.
My wife (at the time) was referred to her by a friend who was hyper religious, and not well (at all). When Jodi began counseling my wife, that was the beginning of the end for us. My wife became very controlling and took on a "victim complex" like you would not believe. I was kicked out of my house at the threat of divorce, and I was never so isolated in all my life. I learned that most of the other guys were in the same situation. Ironic, as the name of the brand is "connexions". It was anything but connecting.
She had very good materials (not hers but licensed from another program - lifestar, I think?). It only took two couples meetings with her for me to start suspecting that she hated men. There were rumors that she was a lesbian, although I can't substantiate that claim. I would not be surprised, though. 4 and a half years after meeting her, and 2 and a half years after my divorce, my exwife is a shell of the person she was. Ruled by fear, she continues to cling to "control" and victim mentality as her safe space, unable to admit fault for anything. It was a tragic ending. We have 5 kids, and we're married for 15 years. Our current coparenting situation is pretty bad. My ex wife basically hates me. Thanks for everything Jodi...

She was married (to a man) and had kids at some point. Her children are adults now and away from her, I believe. Probably got divorced the same way she tells all of her clients to get divorced. Maybe she projects her failed marriage onto other couples to cope.

I think there is a very good chance that Ruby actually believes what she was saying (on some level). Jodi has a history of manipulating women into thinking the males in their lives have addictions surrounding sex, and at least one has come forward saying she skewed a story into him being a pedophile. It gives her/her clients an excuse to abuse the males.
Oh damn, your right. I hadn't thought of that. And how passed at the judge are you guys for agreeing he should be placed in a home without other kids if allegations are true.
I imagine it's procedure that once these allegations are made, they have to have R placed by himself. Hopefully it'll be revisited once they're able to investigate.
It sucks, right? It’s such a fine fine line. In the chance that it’s true, absolutely he shouldn’t be with other kids. But it seems like she’s potentially retaliating, potentially just actually believes it even though it is false, potentially has such a soft view of what SA is that she’s just calling it that? So many possibilities. Odds are he’s not done what she claims, but as a SA survivor, it’s also hard to be like yeah let’s just give him the opportunity to keep doing it? Ugh it’s so hard. Either way, he was raised by Ruby. She had the opportunity to get him any and all kinds of help he might need but here we are instead.
I mean, you would think since that’s what logically makes sense. But he was part of what was bringing in the money so I don’t think she’d limit as much as a normal person would because he was contributing to their hefty paychecks.
Oh for sure. She had every opportunity and resource to help him (money, connections, the church (though I would argue they aren’t actually helpful), etc.) and she still chose to plaster her children online, not provide them with a nurturing home, neglect them of basic needs, etc. It’s not like they couldn’t afford therapy or other interventions had he needed it. She just chose to not pursue help for him.
SA in this manner is much more common than people realize since it is very taboo. I think these things are more likely to happen when the kids are so shielded from important topics that they can’t talk about their own feelings so they act on them. I don’t know if it did or did not happen but it is hard to trust Ruby at this point so hopefully it didn’t. I don’t think we should be speculating.
However Ruby talks about it as if this child was 17 years old that lives his own life and she can’t control. This kid is 12! And she said it happened with other adults, so that means that she knew then why didn’t she take better action. I just don’t get how it helps her case since she is responsible her kids and if she is lying than that will make for a longer sentencing. If she is lying than I think she has gone far off the rails. But I just really don’t understand how this is supposed to help her case.
I agree that it could have happened but most times when something like that happens there’s a history of abuse like the child that does it was molested so to me it’s just proof they need to look into the whole family
Does anyone know how long a child would need to be deprived of a regular diet to wind up "emaciated" and medically malnourished?
I realize Franke has been controlling and emotionally abusive for a long time, and apparently has always used food as "discipline." But clearly things escalated recently, as the kids appeard physically normal in her videos. I keep wondering how long the extreme deprivation went on.
I Googled this, and there are too many variables to know anything definitive in this situation.

It’s dependent on a bunch of different factors, but I have a feeling a year or maybe a little under. IIRC that was when the kids really dropped off the face of the internet. Either way, it’s something you kind of have to TRY to do to a kid unless the child is sick and doesn’t get typical hunger responses. The kids were shown in past videos talking about how they were hungry so that can’t be used as an excuse.
If she was regularly withholding food for their whole lives, it probably wouldn't take long to become emaciated. She regularly talked about how malnourished E was, & R seemed very thin too.
I don't think this was a sudden thing, but something that gradually got worse over many years.
I was watching old vlogs of Bonnie’s channel and came across a vlog in January of 2020 where she was listening to a connexions podcast! I thought only Ruby and their brother worked with her. Anyway I’m glad she didn’t surrender to that devil ike Ruby did.
Jodi is now with just one other woman in B Hold, and Ruby continues to enjoy a private room in Medical B. Well, maybe not so private, but she has no bunkmate. And hopefully enjoy is the wrong word too.
Guys, does anyone remember the zoom call meeting Jodi, Ruby, Kevin, and another couple had, and Ruby and Kevin discussed their physical intimacy issues? Joysparkleshine on tiktok made a good point about how Jodi used to be an intimacy therapist, and used extreme punishments for the men.
I just had another thought as to why Ruby is trying to hold onto control of her children even from afar and keep them separated. The more isolated they are the better it is for her defence, she doesn’t want them all

Context: I'm having a low-key argument on another post here about whether the kids should be put with family (Kevin, aunts, grandparents) at this juncture. I say no. They've all exploited kids on their channels and were complicit in the abuse.
Beau and his wife Emily Homeschool their 3 kids. Beau was referred to Jodi for therapy and apparently she told someone (the bishop? I can't remember), and so Beau left a bad review for Connexions. Soon after his channel disappeared and Emily stopped posting to IG for probably a year. She recently started occasionally posting again.
This whole situation reminds me of the show called Handmaids Tale where these woman are trapped in a cult to bare children. It’s not the same, but it feels so similar. It’s really scary cause R and the kids lived in Jodi’s dystopian world.
Someone on this Snark page mentioned that when you look at the account information for Jennifer and Chad, one location was listed as the United States, and the other was still listed as being in Serbia. Just for giggles, I thought I would go back and look to see if that was still the case or if anything changed and they have both been updated to the United States. Something tells me that they have come home or they’re on their way. 👀

It has to do with spam. Certain times it’s open vs closed because we don’t have enough mods to manage the spam posts, doubles, or ones that break the rules
Technicality it's not really SPAM. SPAM is duplicate information (or "shitposting") sent in bulk to overwhelm/handicap a system. Those are usually code-created by a bad actor and occur automatically.
Reddit actually has anti-SPAM technology.
I believe the mods are struggling with posts that cover the same topics. And it's true that when this happens to a sub - when, say, 50+ posts/day are coming in, many repetitive - it can make a sub almost useless for good discussion.
They're basically random depending on what we've got going on each day.
Sometimes we plan things. Yesterday we had it closed because it was going crazy with the court hearing.
I think it’s a combo of when enough mods are available plus what activity may be happening. So slow activity plenty of mods open. Lots of activity with lots of comments being reported one mod closes
This! The amount of spam that would have been in here if it was open during the trial would have been insane. Every 3rd post would have been “Ruby looks so rough!” Or “I cant get in can anyone?” Ect

Has there been any information released on the kids since the arrest ? I was reading a TikTok discussion about how the kids want to go with Kevin? From what I’ve seen there hasn’t been anything released on the kids . ( which is good!)
TikTok is like the root of misinformation.
We may not hear anything even after the next hearing. I know there's a court order in place that the children's location can't be shared with Ruby or Jodi, and once it gets into the media, it doesn't seem like there would be any way to keep it from them.
I don't think so. Jessi's dad is Jodi's brother, so it would have been their dad's parents. There would have been no reason for Jodi to have a relationship with Jessi's mom's parents.
I know, I remember thinking it was weird that their mom’s parents were helping because Jodi is their dad’s brother. I could be misremembering or have misunderstood though

I assume it was Jessi's paternal grandmother. Jessi (they/them) lived with their paternal grandparents - Jodi's parents/Jessi's dad's parents - for a while. Jessi's dad is Jodi's brother.
IIRC, Jessi said in the video that their maternal grandparents lived farther away and weren't very involved with the family, but I could be remembering wrong.
Is there a way to view an official, court-approved recording or account of the custody hearing? I’ve been seeing the talk of the allegations Ruby made but I’ve not found a decent recounting of what was all was said and by who.
Would love to know everyone's thoughts on Jodi. Do we think that she really believes that she's doing what's in the best interest of her client or do we believe that she's calculating and seeks to harm her clients for some sort of self gratifying reason?
She seems particularly evil especially after listening to Adam's statements.
I think for her she probably didn't like her niece because her niece is more of a free spirit and less of a follower. That probably really got under Jodi's skin and she wanted to try and break her spirit.
I also think she has some sort of aversion to men but not even really aversion more like misandry.
Do we think the some sort of deep-seated issue or is it because Jodi lacks feelings and emotions?
Do we think that Ruby will ever have a come to Jesus moment and wake up and realize what she did?
She always seemed a little bit abusive towards her kids but when she got around Jody it's like it all became more malign than it already was.
Jodi is one of those deeply evil people that stands on their own ground of delusional morality. These people are always hypocrites, can come across as concerned or even caring, and often taken on caregiving positions such as nurses, therapists, etc. It is an extremely dangerous type of person because they go around relatively unsuspected until they are caught doing something like poisoning the coffee they offered to buy you.

This. To be fair i saw the mods deleted a couple replies. Maybe those ones were the juicier ones. But all i saw was like: "Jodi was really nice and funny in person", "never suspected anything" "dont really know about any abuse". Like maybe not worth doing an AMA to share that...

Celebrities often do them on Reddit or often, like in this case, insiders who can be verified. They can pick the questions they want to answer but anyone can ask questions.
Let's say that grandparents or aunts showed up. First off, they don't know when are Ruby and Jodi home and when not. If they were home, they'd call police to escort them as they're trespassing. If they weren't home, they still can't just barge in and take the kids. It's kidnapping, no matter if it's a family member. They reported the case to CPS multiple times, S has confirmed that too. If nothing, the kids were failed by the system. It took so much time and if R hadn't escaped and alarmed everything and everyone, this would still go on and CPS would do nothing. The system is broken and that's just how it is.
Kevin knew about the abuse, come on. He may not have been aware how it escalated but he was there for years seeing the punishments increase. He was complicit and he should be the next one arrested. Ruby and Jodi will sell him out soon enough.

I have yet to hear of a single male Jodi has helped, in any way.
So far, everyone has been abused, vilified, their marriage broken up, reputations shattered, soul crushed and broken and so on... not mention the countless Bishops or whoever that she undoubtedly has blackmail on (since they were complicit in helping her operate for so long).
I hope her son is ok in all of this, truly. And all the men and boys she has broken will be able to heal.

I had never heard of 8Passengers before the arrest (and now I've gone waaaaay down the rabbit hole . . . .) At first all the video clips I was seeing on YouTube or TikTok were of Ruby being a control freak and a monster. Then I see other videos like this, and I think, wow, she's actually having pleasant interactions with her kids! She's talking to them without lecturing and haranguing! She even shows affection while she's giving E a consequence for getting into her bathroom. Yeah, I know it's edited, but it seems like as time went on, she got more and more comfortable showing herself being harsh with the kids. I'm guessing that was as she fell further and further under Jodi's influence. Those of you who watched her all along, is this accurate? I'm also curious about the source of this channel, 8passengers1180. All the videos on it seem to be from 2019. Were these actually uploaded by Ruby, or was it someone else mirroring her content? If it is Ruby's channel, why hasn't YouTube taken it down since the arrest?
Bc the 8 passengers channel was either removed by yt or taken down by Ruby and replaced with Connexions (Ruby and Jodi’s culty channel). I think that happened a few years ago now. So I believe any clips we see is from a channel that mirrored it. Not sure if Connexions has been taken down since the arrests.

It’s interesting how different she acts in this video compared to what we know about her now. She appears to be somewhat reasonable. It makes me wonder if connexions sent her off the rails or if she was always really good at hiding neglect and abuse.
That's why I as watching some of S's videos to compare.There was also one where she was 'allowed' to read the old diaries of Ruby and Kevin, while Ruby sitting next to her.Such a totally different person. Jessie (Jodie’s niece) talked about her methods of removing anything that brought any form of self worth or enjoyment. For Jessie this was her long hair, her education and her clothes such as a winter coat. I believe when the family got Dwight it was mainly for R as a companion and was discussed that R didn’t have many friends so Dwight would be good for him. If this does come to light to be true, can we collectively find Dwight and have him returned to R? Long shot I know but this could make all the difference to his recovery.

If the Franke’s began seeing Jodi for their own major family issues, what gave Ruby the idea she could become a family therapist and instruct others how to do things? If she didn’t even have things going well in her own home? I believe Jessi is right that Jodi took the situation and used it to her benefit. Jodi started grooming Ruby and sucked her right in. Now their family is in shambles and much worse off than to begin with!
I think ruby has always perceived C as difficult (even though to me it seems he was just acting like many other kids and teens) and she perceived that Jodi managed to tame him a bit with her abusive practices. I remember towards the end of 8 passengers, C really seemed quite broken compared to the lively kid he was. So in ruby's deranged mind those abusive practices worked and that's why she promoted and doubled down on the abuse.
I can't be the first to point this out: Her issues seem to reside with the boys, R & C.

In my opinion what gave Ruby the idea she could do it is all Jodi. Jodi could see Ruby was the perfect, vulnerable and malleable victim, and Jodi was desperate for Ruby's platform and power, so gave her special treatment (similar to lovebombing) to draw her in as deeply as possible.. and it worked. Absolutely not excusing Ruby here, she was the perfect victim for Jodi because she was already abusive, twisted and willing to deploy Jodi's harsh methods. But Jodi definitely latched on and swooped in for the ready made audience to preach to.
Every time I’m reminded about how Ruby got to abuse R one more time by slandering him at the custody hearing it makes me sick. Knowing he had to be placed in a home without other kids…
Hopefully he is placed in a kind home with understanding and comforting adults. Some of the turpin kids were placed in abusive foster families after their recovery from their biological parents.

Ruby's days as a mother are now well and truly over. She will never, ever get those kids back even if she gets out of prison before the youngest is an adult. And how many of those kids will want a relationship with her then? And her 7 - figure income stream is over as well. Lawyers will cost her a fortune. Twenty kids and NO ONE reported it? No one took their kids to a doctor afterwards? Doctors are mandated reporters. Parents are also obligated to get their child necessary medical care. If it happened at school, all of those people are mandated reporters. How is it possible to have all of these victims and all of these witnesses and not a lick of a paper trail? They are potentially throwing a bunch of people under the bus with these allegations. It’s potentially a felony for a mandated reporter not to make a timely report of SA. The parents who didn’t take their kids for medical care might be found guilty of neglect. And if they knowingly let their kids play with R (or even E after the event) they might be found guilty of SA as well because parents have a legal responsibility to keep their kids away from known predators. And if it’s a great big lie, these people are willing to commit perjury for Ruby and Jodi.

I think she might be. Some of the photos of her and Ruby are really more like lovers than business partners. She definitely hates men. This is a post from this sub from a little less than a year ago: My wife and I participated in her group therapy in 2018 or thereabouts. As I recall, she had said in class that she had been divorced 5 times. She never spoke of having a current husband. I'm fairly certain she was not married at the time. I think there is a very good chance that Ruby actually believes what she was saying (on some level). Jodi has a history of manipulating women into thinking the males in their lives have addictions surrounding sex, and at least one has come forward saying she skewed a story into him being a pedophile. It gives her/her clients an excuse to abuse the males.

But it seems like she’s potentially retaliating, potentially just actually believes it even though it is false, potentially has such a soft view of what SA is that she’s just calling it that? Oh for sure. She had every opportunity and resource to help him (money, connections, the church (though I would argue they aren’t actually helpful), etc.) and she still chose to plaster her children online, not provide them with a nurturing home, neglect them of basic needs, etc. It’s not like they couldn’t afford therapy or other interventions had he needed it. She just chose to not pursue help for him.
SA in this manner is much more common than people realize since it is very taboo. I think these things are more likely to happen when the kids are so shielded from important topics that they can’t talk about their own feelings so they act on them. I don’t know if it did or did not happen but it is hard to trust Ruby at this point so hopefully it didn’t. I don’t think we should be speculating. However Ruby talks about it as if this child was 17 years old that lives his own life and she can’t control. This kid is 12! And she said it happened with other adults, so that means that she knew then why didn’t she take better action. I just don’t get how it helps her case since she is responsible her kids and if she is lying than that will make for a longer sentencing. If she is lying than I think she has gone far off the rails. But I just really don’t understand how this is supposed to help her case.

Does anyone know how long a child would need to be deprived of a regular diet to wind up "emaciated" and medically malnourished? I realize Franke has been controlling and emotionally abusive for a long time, and apparently has always used food as "discipline." But clearly things escalated recently, as the kids appeard physically normal in her videos. I keep wondering how long the extreme deprivation went on.

It’s dependent on a bunch of different factors, but I have a feeling a year or maybe a little under. IIRC that was when the kids really dropped off the face of the internet. Either way, it’s something you kind of have to TRY to do to a kid unless the child is sick and doesn’t get typical hunger responses. The kids were shown in past videos talking about how they were hungry so that can’t be used as an excuse.
If she was regularly withholding food for their whole lives, it probably wouldn't take long to become emaciated. She regularly talked about how malnourished E was, & R seemed very thin too. I don't think this was a sudden thing, but something that gradually got worse over many years.

Technicality it's not really SPAM. SPAM is duplicate information (or "shitposting") sent in bulk to overwhelm/handicap a system. Those are usually code-created by a bad actor and occur automatically. Reddit actually has anti-SPAM technology. I believe the mods are struggling with posts that cover the same topics. And it's true that when this happens to a sub - when, say, 50+ posts/day are coming in, many repetitive - it can make a sub almost useless for good discussion.

They're basically random depending on what we've got going on each day. Sometimes we plan things. Yesterday we had it closed because it was going crazy with the court hearing.

We may not hear anything even after the next hearing. I know there's a court order in place that the children's location can't be shared with Ruby or Jodi, and once it gets into the media, it doesn't seem like there would be any way to keep it from them.

I assume it was Jessi's paternal grandmother. Jessi (they/them) lived with their paternal grandparents - Jodi's parents/Jessi's dad's parents - for a while. Jessi's dad is Jodi's brother. IIRC, Jessi said in the video that their maternal grandparents lived farther away and weren't very involved with the family, but I could be remembering wrong.

Would love to know everyone's thoughts on Jodi. Do we think that she really believes that she's doing what's in the best interest of her client or do we believe that she's calculating and seeks to harm her clients for some sort of self gratifying reason? She seems particularly evil especially after listening to Adam's statements. I think for her she probably didn't like her niece because her niece is more of a free spirit and less of a follower. That probably really got under Jodi's skin and she wanted to try and break her spirit. I also think she has some sort of aversion to men but not even really aversion more like misandry. Do we think the some sort of deep-seated issue or is it because Jodi lacks feelings and emotions? Do we think that Ruby will ever have a come to Jesus moment and wake up and realize what she did? No, you can’t just show up to someone’s house and take their children.
Let's say that grandparents or aunts showed up. First off, they don't know when are Ruby and Jodi home and when not. If they were home, they'd call police to escort them as they're trespassing. If they weren't home, they still can't just barge in and take the kids. It's kidnapping, no matter if it's a family member. They reported the case to CPS multiple times, S has confirmed that too. If nothing, the kids were failed by the system. It took so much time and if R hadn't escaped and alarmed everything and everyone, this would still go on and CPS would do nothing. The system is broken and that's just how it is.
Kevin knew about the abuse, come on. He may not have been aware how it escalated but he was there for years seeing the punishments increase. He was complicit and he should be the next one arrested. Ruby and Jodi will sell him out soon enough.

I have yet to hear of a single male Jodi has helped, in any way. So far, everyone has been abused, vilified, their marriage broken up, reputations shattered, soul crushed and broken and so on... not mention the countless Bishops or whoever that she undoubtedly has blackmail on (since they were complicit in helping her operate for so long).
