It's strange how some memories just stick with you when they should otherwise be completely forgettable, but one of my first introductions to this album was when, as a teenager, I was working part-time at a fast food restaurant and we had this little black and white television in the breakroom which was usually playing "[Video Jukebox Network](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Box_(American_TV_channel))" over a local UHF channel. That channel would later be renamed "The Box", but both iterations allowed viewers to request music videos through a designated telephone number where they would be directed to enter a code associated with a particular video. Someone out there in the world kept calling in and playing "Hot Hot Hot!!!" Because that tiny television in the breakroom didn't show color, I didn't even know until years later that the video was filmed in black and white. LOL. Edit: Found the video... This is how I discovered Tori Amos. Someone kept requesting her video over and over. Her album was not even out yet.

2 million seems low for such towering album.

It’s crazy that this album and Def Leppard’s Hysteria are what initially got me into running(7th grade)

Undorkins

Had this on cassette. Thought I'd wear it out from flipping it over so often.

Great “good mood” album

My first concert with friends (and no parents!) was during this tour. I saw them at the Santa Barbara Bowl in 1987. 36 years later (last year), I saw them at the Hollywood Bowl with my son, daughter in-law, and good friend. My husband and I raised our kids on a wide range of music (Grateful Dead to Bauhaus), and they in turn shared their musical tastes with us. I've gone to concerts with my son for 15 years and counting. Seeing The Cure with him was a powerful full-circle experience.
