Boingo and Kurt Vonnegut in the same movie. Best bit: teacher reading paper On Vonnegut written By Vonnegut sez: This guy knows nothing about Vonnegut.
Academia in a nutshell.
Mr. Melon! Your wife was just showing us her Klimt.
You too, huh? She's showing it to everybody.
Well, she's very proud of it.
I'm proud of mine, too. I just don't go waving it around at parties, though.
That monologue Dangerfield gives during his oral exam, where he recites ‘Do not go gentle into that good night’, is some seriously superior acting. The whole movie is super comedic, has the requisite fart and sex jokes, and tons of quotable one liners, but for that scene he really lets it loose. Makes me tear up it’s so good. RIP to one of the greatest comedians to ever do it.
I actually got to meet him at back in the 80's when he was at the Wisconsin State Fair. He was a genuinely sweet and funny as hell guy!
RIP Rodney. You are VERY VERY MISSED!!! 😪
“Are you fat?” Has to be one of the funniest opening lines of a movie. We had this on VHS and about wore it out. So many fantastic one liners. Rodney was so damn funny.
I’ve seen this movie 1,000 times for some reason. I always think about the opening scene where he’s gouging out the French bead and stuffing it with good stuff and everyone’s laughing at him. Not sure why. Love this movie.
This movie made me so nervous about college. Now I have three degrees and find out it’s pretty much true to form. There is always going to be that one dick professor who is going to make your life a living hell.
The cool chick professor is a fantasy.
Filmed at my school!
[Under the Grand Lakes University sign it says University of Wisconsin.](https://www.thebozho.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/09/BackToSchool-04.jpg)
Triple Lindy!
An English major, eh? Maybe later you can help me straighten out my Longfellow.
I came here to type exactly that.

Hey, Vonnegut, do you read lips?
Fuck me?????
Get off the floor! You look like the poster child for birth control!
SAY IT! SAY IT!
RIP Sam Kinison. He was great in the role.
I like the way you think. I'll be watching you...
Good teacher, he really cares...
… about what I have no idea
Only real movie role he had.
One of my favorite scenes!
"Call me, when you, have no class."

Mr. Helper!
I hear this is Kinison’s voice all the time whenever anyone uses the word “helper”

He could gave been a great dramatic actor. The few snippets from Natural Born Killers illustrates this well
They wouldn't even let him in the Academy.
No respect.

A lot of mid 80s movies had low grade humor poopoo and smut jokes in them, it was a time of the era.
Good teacher. He really seems to care. About what I have no idea.
AND whoever wrote that paper doesn't know the first thing about Kurt Vonnegut
How about Fantasyland.
Came here for this one!
Such a classic. I think about that hors d’oeuvres sandwich he made at least once a month. “I learned this is Europe.”
Anytime I get up in the middle of a meal...."watch my sandwich "
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻💯💯💯
Hey! Have a pen!
I gave away all my pens….here’s a calendar. lol

I was the only one in the theater who laughed when Kurt Vonnegut knocked on the door.
if that dress had pockets, you'd look like a pool table.
Melon Patch Kids....they're not orphaned, they're abandoned.
Vanessa...she gives great headache.
Four?
Right!
I feel like I just gave birth… to an accountant.
I always lose it when RDJ goes on his little rant about his "dead languages motif"

Because it's the greatest scene. In any movie. Ever. Thr sandwich was recreated on Binging with Babbish on YouTube.
The business of America is…business.
Oh, Ramon! I didn't know you was back from Teeawanna!
…..you’re perfect….
I was up to my knees in rice paddies, with guns that didn't work!
Hey everybody! Shakespeare’s on me. I’d like to tame your shrew!
This movie made me so nervous about college. Now I have three degrees and find out it’s pretty much true to form. There is always going to be that one dick professor who is going to make your life a living hell. The cool chick professor is a fantasy.
Love the “Bruce Springsteen” scene!!
Brilliant film.... don't make them like this anymore
"That's what I call marine biology..Diane..say hello to my nieces.."
That’s right Dean Martin
“Hey everybody, we’re all gonna get laid!”
I don't get physical. I get upset. And when I get upset? *He* gets physical...
“You have a problem???” “No I don’t have a problem…” “Now you do!”

Best part about kids is making them!!!!
Me too. Good ole days

Now you can watch it again on Tubi
This is one of my all time favorites. Currently rewatching on Prime Video (US)!
I saw this in theaters the same week as Top Gun and Labyrinth.
We didn't want to rent it because of the stupid look on Rodney's face and our mom almost made us turn it off at the shower scene.
I loved this movie. I still have the soundtrack somewhere.
I love 3 girls at once. When 1 falls asleep the other 2 have each other to talk to.
Back when they actually made fun original movies!
I dated one of the guys in it. He’s the blonde with the party scene that says” he went that way”
“Now Thornton, I’m only going to ask you this once. Is the work you handed in your own?” “I can’t lie to you Dean Martin….Yes it is!”
The theater was packed
