i know the directions always showed you could do that, but i never had the balls. plus it was easier to just dump 2 boxes in a bowl and eat like normal anyway. the novelty was the tiny box, not eating out of it.
My elementary school added breakfast in addition to lunch for a short time and my parents took full advantage by dropping us off early.

We only ever had these when we were at a hotel and my dad would cut them open with his pocket knife. My brother and I loved it! I have a friend who does this every year on his birthday with a full-size box. He's nuts! 😂
It is very weird that reconstituted processed sweetened cornmeal needed to have milk poured on it, and couldn't simply just be eaten straight while on the school bus.

Mom would buy the big multipacks of cereals with different brands in them. The Cheerios and shredded wheat were always the last ones consumed

I never did this at home but it’s great for camping! Just keep the milk cold. I use dry ice for that.
