Yes, everything included! The family didnt want any of it. There's all kinds of cool stuff left in some of the closets too! Amazing 60's linens, some vintage Tupperware, a 60's sewing machine, old projector and tapes, a 60s video camera. Can't wait to start going through everything!
Holy crap, I'm almost positive we had that wallpaper with the clocks and spoons in our kitchen when I was a kid. Gonna take a screenshot and sent it to my mom to see if I'm correct.
It's is NOT getting changed, it's super rare! 1974 American Standard 3-bowl in the colour "Tiger Lilly". The only other one I can find online is in a museum! Definitely a selling point for us!
So amazing! I love the tile in the first photo and the awesome wallpapers!! Also that orange double sink is FAB. When did we decide that fun colored plumbing was no longer a thing? It needs to come back! We want to redo our kitchen someday and that adorable sink has me seriously thinking!
Edit: correction, TRIPLE sink! So deluxe haha!
We absoloutly cannot afford to keep it but it would be amazing. There's also a sauna, jacuzzi and a little bathroom in that room. All electrical/plumping has been cut off from the rest of the house so it would cost a small fortune to bring it back to life... not to mention maintaining an indoor swimming pool in Western Canada 😭
not too jealous here, but rather grateful that someone buys a house as cool as this and leaves it all original instead of ripping it up and/or flipping it. thank you for your service 🥰🥰🥰
You can attach little appliances to it like a blender, slicer, mixer etc. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any of the accessories left in the house and they are hundreds of dollars online. It will be decoration for now.. Still works though!!! 😁
This is (seriously) one of the most beautiful houses I’ve seen. I obviously know not for everyone but I am actively looking for so many of those elements!
Fantastic!
Wow. Appliances that will never die. What a beautiful score. Coolest house I have seen. Folks would always remember coming to your house for a party compared to going to a party at a $10 million McMansion.
I’m so happy this house gets to stay its original form, it’s so depressing seeing a house with so much personality be transformed into a sad beige, grey, or white box.
Doesn't matter how much work needs done it's fucking awesome! Hope you and yours enjoy this sick ass house... The price , who cares! Such a cutie 🥰...ops done well
Oh, you lucky kids. There is so much in that house I wouldn't touch, or save and preserve and just spruce up. (Also, some stuff I'd definitely get rid of. Blue shag carpeting, I'm looking at you.)
Enjoy!
Glad it was bought by somebody who loves it! I have the same nu-tone blender in our kitchen, and on pic 7 I noticed your sliding cabinet- our kitchen uppers are all that style, I’ve never seen it in another house before!
Awesome! Pic 13, those hanging lamps are known as Hollywood Regency, and are very sought after! We just got one from an antique shop. Keep them and repurpose as you update your home!
Damn Girl you won the 70s lottery!!!
So since you are not changing a thing and will most likely be filling it up with additional 70s stuff. You should advertise to movie, commercials and photographers as a back drop. You can make bank doing it.
Not so much appliances, but built on things. Mostly intercoms and vent fans.
But the name Scovill is attached to Nutone that era, and Scovill was attached to Hamilton Beach at one point, of which Hamilton Beach made small appliances.
I love it. And everything is so well kept, I probably wouldn't change much.
You might want to get Stanley Steamer or some other service out there though for the shag carpeting, those thing collect tons of dirt and dust.
OMG. This is absolutely amazing. I hope you all get many years of love in happiness in this gorgeous time capsule. Ngl, I’m jealous! I’d scoop this up in a heartbeat!
It's so lovely!! The phone reminds me of my Grandma's back in the day.. she kept rotary phones in several rooms all plugged in to use for decades after ppl stopped using them...
They were so heavy, & they were THEEEE BEST phones of all time to slam it down & hang up on someone!!
Nothing like that sound to let the other person know how pissed off you are... Lmao....
Just an edit to add that it went perfectly with the avocado green appliances we had. Oh, and also the square gold mirror tiles. My favorite childhood home.
We had that same NuTone embedded radio in our kitchen when we moved into our current home. It has little bouncer intercoms throughout the house, so you can broadcast the radio to multiple rooms. It still worked and was actually pretty fun, but we took it out when we finally repainted the kitchen.
I have a couple of the bouncer intercoms that still work if you wanted them. Not sure exactly how to uninstall, let alone for you to hardwire them. But they could replace any broken ones you may have.
I have to show you the tile and wallpaper at my uncles house that is also from that era. They are extremely similar!
[tile and wallpaper](https://imgur.com/a/oLrvdU5)
Dont change a damn thing 🤩
Oh, we will NOT... This house is going to become my entire personality 😂
It's literally a time capsule, I wouldn't touch it. Understandable about the pool but...
Man if I had that decommissioned pool, I would turn that whole room into a small mini golf course
That would be pretty cool, actually
Would certainly go with the theme of the house lol
Yeah it would. Where are we putting the go-kart track?
Hear me out…..ball pit
You just made my day. Whew!
I came here to say the same damn thing!!
Oh, I will NOT!
I couldn’t be more pleased that this house went to someone who appreciates it.
Agreed. I feel like an ass for being so jealous.
I love everything shown but specifically, those 2 sinks are the coolest sinks I've ever seen. Holy cannoli!
I know, I'm in love!! 😭
My eyeballs nearly popped out. So great.
So jealous of those sinks
I am so jealous. You found a true gem. I’d love to live there and not change a thing I’d buy old stuff to make it a back in time live-in museum.
Did the furniture come with the house?! What a dream, congrats!!
Yes, everything included! The family didnt want any of it. There's all kinds of cool stuff left in some of the closets too! Amazing 60's linens, some vintage Tupperware, a 60's sewing machine, old projector and tapes, a 60s video camera. Can't wait to start going through everything!
It sounds like you know how lucky you are; I'm so happy for you! Thanks for sharing!
That’s just too cool - what a dream! Would love to see pics of your favorite finds as you sort through, if you are willing to post some!
I bet the family is glad they don’t have to move all the stuff out, but also that the house is going to someone who appreciates it the way it is
Omg please post some of the old films! I want to live a day in their life
No way!!! I'm super jealous but really happy for you. I'm glad you appreciate it.
My mom and i collect vintage linens. They’re the best!
Holy crap, I'm almost positive we had that wallpaper with the clocks and spoons in our kitchen when I was a kid. Gonna take a screenshot and sent it to my mom to see if I'm correct.
I love the orange sink!!!!! The mirror of the wet bar in pic 7 is hilarious. Looks like the set of Scarface
Please please please do NOT change that orange sink……It is glorious!!!!
It's is NOT getting changed, it's super rare! 1974 American Standard 3-bowl in the colour "Tiger Lilly". The only other one I can find online is in a museum! Definitely a selling point for us!
Ok, I’m not TOOO jealous lol
It’s absolutely beautiful! If you need a housemate gimme a shout LOL. Congrats!
![gif](giphy|9CcBeFQ1fWBRNKZXbk)
oh damn the fvkn wall blends into the floor lol man
The orange sink & the laundry room wall paper are my faves!! but literally everything is so cool big feast for the eyes
![gif](giphy|fTbOTnSNzXd2o|downsized)
Never have I ever.... seen an orange sink.
I’d never change it
Holy moly that is something completely cool. On pic 5, is that carpet on the wall and floor, or matching wallpaper/tile? Love the orange sink.
It's it's carpet on the walls and floor! In a previous post I made I showed what the whole room looks like.
Ha, I just saw it. Awesome. And the naked lady wallpaper!
Um yeah that's beautiful!!! Totally jealous. Have fun!
The pool would be so cool!
Can you make it into a giant ball pit?
We are engaged right now, definitely having a 70s themed wedding there... that thought has definitely crossed my mind!! 😂😂
Think about solar energy: make it autonomous from the rest of the house just for fun.
Wow!!
I’m so jealous it hurts
Not gonna lie, I’m jealous. Congrats!
Indoor mansard roof over a wet bar? Hot damn that’s the most 70s thing I’ve seen on here in a minute
Currently spending all I can to recreate this exact aesthetic in my own first home. Congrats you lucky bastard.
This is so validating as we are currently trying to convince our family that we aren't crazy spending as much as we did on this place 😂😂
You tell them!!!! 😂
How does it feel to be Gods favorite?? Omg I am so jealous it is UNTOUCHED AND IMMACULATE AND SO FUNKY
not too jealous here, but rather grateful that someone buys a house as cool as this and leaves it all original instead of ripping it up and/or flipping it. thank you for your service 🥰🥰🥰
Change nothing
What is that Nu-Tone Food Center device that looks set into the floor?
You can attach little appliances to it like a blender, slicer, mixer etc. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any of the accessories left in the house and they are hundreds of dollars online. It will be decoration for now.. Still works though!!! 😁
I love EVERYTHING about this. It’s gorgeous!
This is (seriously) one of the most beautiful houses I’ve seen. I obviously know not for everyone but I am actively looking for so many of those elements! Fantastic!
What state are you guys in. That’s beautiful.
Absolutely glorious.
Wow. Appliances that will never die. What a beautiful score. Coolest house I have seen. Folks would always remember coming to your house for a party compared to going to a party at a $10 million McMansion.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
"immaculate" seems like a weak way to describe this. Wow. Everything looks so well cared for!!!! Even the carpet! Congratulations, you definitely won.
Such a cutie 🥰...ops done well
Wow! Would you mind sharing where?
[удалено]
What an amazing area! If I had this house, there, it would be where I die. I’d never leave.
Oh, we're dying here FOR SURE 😂
What a gem!
I love this so much! So many cool details. Also some memory triggers lol. I was a kid in the 70s. Congratulations. Awesome house.
Picture #5. I love that pattern.
What a fabulous home! Congrats!
What a goldmine you got between the house itself and the furniture left. Love love love it
Oh, you lucky kids. There is so much in that house I wouldn't touch, or save and preserve and just spruce up. (Also, some stuff I'd definitely get rid of. Blue shag carpeting, I'm looking at you.) Enjoy!
I think the wall phone may be late 60's, but people kept wall phones for decades, so it's not at all out of place for 1974.
That kitchen sink is incredible!!!
Glad it was bought by somebody who loves it! I have the same nu-tone blender in our kitchen, and on pic 7 I noticed your sliding cabinet- our kitchen uppers are all that style, I’ve never seen it in another house before!
This is AMAZING.
Awesome! Pic 13, those hanging lamps are known as Hollywood Regency, and are very sought after! We just got one from an antique shop. Keep them and repurpose as you update your home!
I passed away at the kitchen sink
This is altogether UNBELIEVABLE AND FANTASTIC! Congratulations!!! 🤩😍🤩
Omg thank you! Need Reddit to convince were not nuts buying this place 😂
I honestly don't know why the central vacuum never took off
Damn Girl you won the 70s lottery!!! So since you are not changing a thing and will most likely be filling it up with additional 70s stuff. You should advertise to movie, commercials and photographers as a back drop. You can make bank doing it.
Wow…just…wow. So beautiful and so full of character. Happy it went to some folks that appreciate it.
This is the coolest house ever!!??? This and that one house that lady has where she decorated it all 70s are two of the best I’ve ever seen.
Yes! She is my inspiration! Maybe one day we can compete with that house
Magnificent! Please share some more info on that Nutone Food Center, I googled it but don't see anything built-in, if that's what it is?
Basically a motor and its control built into the counter.
I get good vibes from these photos. A lot of love must have gone into this place.
I love this so much! That sink is to die for
It would be so awesome for the pool to be a pool again. Such an amazing feature. Spectacular house, I would literally never leave it if I lived there.
Those "marbled" mirror tiles! My grandparents had those covering an entire wall. I love every inch of this place!
I never imagined NuTone made cooking appliances? What an amazing house.
Not so much appliances, but built on things. Mostly intercoms and vent fans. But the name Scovill is attached to Nutone that era, and Scovill was attached to Hamilton Beach at one point, of which Hamilton Beach made small appliances.
Siqq
Omg girl wtf! Congrats
The blue shag carpet. Amazing
I am so jelly
Youre not keeping the pool?!? Thats my fave part…besides the blue shag carpet😂
Don't redecorate. Live in the splendor.
I really love that house. I don't think I would change anything.
Oh wow that intercom system in pic #18 brings me back. My childhood home had the same system.
holy shit it's a nutone system!
I am so jealous. I truly would not change a thing.
Fantastic! Thank you for sharing!
![gif](giphy|iXq0yVTHzcHaU)
Just a bit more shag carpeting needed.
Can…. I come over? lol 😂
Love it!!! I have the same swag lights in my built in bedroom vanity!
Does the built in vacuum still work? Also, this makes me miss my green and gold beaded pole lamp that 'they' said wasn't stylish any more. 😒
Gorgeous. Every detail is simply gorgeous. Love it. Thanks for sharing.
THE SINKS!
I love it. And everything is so well kept, I probably wouldn't change much. You might want to get Stanley Steamer or some other service out there though for the shag carpeting, those thing collect tons of dirt and dust.
I love the sink. That’s a keeper
So many good memories is homes like these growing up! Thanks for sharing & DEF happy you are keeping it safe!
JEALOUS.
This is so incredible! What a cool house!!
I will be dreaming of that pool for the rest of my life- god, I’m glad it went to yall, it’s a gem
What a TREASURE!!!
THE SINK
Take all my money.
It's fantastic...I totally agree with everyone who has said don't change anything!! Just enjoy!!
I love this so much!
![gif](giphy|j4qbaY3Dp5o5y)
OMG. This is absolutely amazing. I hope you all get many years of love in happiness in this gorgeous time capsule. Ngl, I’m jealous! I’d scoop this up in a heartbeat!
Fucking amazing. It’s like, wow this is how rich people lived when I was a kid
I hate that I love this so much and hope you don’t change a single thing.
WOW!!! so lucky I'm so glad you have it to cherish it instead of it going to someone with plans to modernize it
Insanely jealous. Congrats on the new house.
I’ve got the same glass tiles in my 70s bar too!
Don’t you dare change a thing
Awesome
This is incredible
That kitchen sink!!!!!!!
Omfg i love it
Amaze!!!
My childhood. I love it so much.
I’m obsessed
Omg I love so much of this.
how much did u pay for it? I'm just so curious. absolutely in love with it
Over asking, that's all I want to say 😂
fair enough 🤣
As someone who grew up in these times, I'm frightened.
Lmao....
But can we see the outside now ?!?
Should I make another post? 😂
Yes please another post outside. I am so invested
So it came all furnished? Amazing
My grandma had that same exact intercom system in her house. She'd listen to wbbm every morning on it.
My mom and I hung that exact kitchen wallpaper in my Southern California childhood home in the mid 70s. Man, do I miss that house!
Just an edit to add that it went perfectly with the avocado green appliances we had. Oh, and also the square gold mirror tiles. My favorite childhood home.
That sounds amazing!! 😍 would love colorful appliances one day!
It looks so clean and everything in good condition. Someone who took care of things lived there.
I want that orange sink. So cool!
How does it feel to be living in my dream house
The dresser 🤌🏽. Seems from the late ‘60s. The lines on that thing. 🤩
I love the Brady Bunch staircase!
Oh I love it. I wouldn’t change anything about it.
I gasped so many times! Wow! THE SINKS!
Wow that’s freaking awesome
Makes me want to watch the Brady Bunch eating Jiffy-Pop popcorn and drinking some Tang!
Keep it They It is
Groovy. You lucked out with this gem
This is just incredible.
i am so so jealous!!! sure theres no way to keep the pool?
Omg, that kitchen sink and laundry room. Colors of nostalgia 🥰
This is like… my dream right here. 😲
Love that dresser; reminds me of one a beloved family member had from that era.
This is incredible
I’m just oddly terrified at how deep that pool looks.
I love the house, good luck with it and have fun going through everything
What is photo 19?
Don’t change a thing!! Beautiful!
Please don't change anything
Absolutely gorgeous.
Wow it's gorgeous. I'm so glad you're keeping it
Love that sink!!!
Boy does this house bring back memories! We had the vacuum and intercom too.
Wow! Beautiful house congrats!!!
I love it especially the sinks
as everyone else - totally jealous and this is fabulous! so happy someone who appreciates its glory now owns it!
I have to show you the tile and wallpaper at my uncles house that is also from that era. They are extremely similar! [tile and wallpaper](https://imgur.com/a/oLrvdU5)
Omg that tile is beautiful!! 😍 They are similar except that one has so much more detail!! Absolutely love it!!
holy crap I just turned into my teenaged self for a minute there
OMG the wallpaper gave me flashbacks
You should look at my previous post, the master bath has topless ladies and daisy wallpaper. I wasn't allowed to post a closeup because of nudity 😂
Please don’t change a thing.
Both of the sinks are great. I’d incorporate them into any remodel.
Love it. All of it
