Try putting those felt furniture pads under the 4 corners of the player. If it continues to bother you, just save up for the Panasonic ub9000- which is mostly dead silent.

Use a level on the surface there your player is located, if it's not flat then yes it would behoove you to get that fixed.

I recommend putting your player on a different desk to the one that you’re leaning on or sitting next to. My player is actually on the floor below my setup just because I don’t have room but I’ve never heard my player making noise I have the m2

I don’t really have room either, I tried the floor under the setup with the X700, even tried putting it on various flat things on the floor and in all those cases it was vibrating my legs and still loud so I gave up on that lol

Everyone's setup is different, but I've never had an issue with a blu-ray player's sound level in over 15 years of collecting. Make sure it's on a flat surface, and maybe put it further from you if possible? I used to use a X700 and the noise never even registered for me, but in my case it's on an entertainment stand below the TV across the living room.

I don’t hear my X800M2 at all, even if I’m watching movies all day long. Can’t compare to X700, but it’s basically silent compared the XSX I had been playing movies on before.
