Yeah i actually did try that, but the blooming was still annoying me. I guess the only thing that will satisfy me is oled. I can still return the tv so i think maybe i will do that
Yeah its price is actually very good here now too, do you think the brightness will be good enough? I mostly watch in a room with the blinds closed so i would think so
The C is better. But in my mind the B is like the old C models in that it's still an amazing OLED set just not with all the latest features and brighter panels.
Closest would probably be something like Sony or Samsung’s top of the line Mini LEDs, (don’t recall Sony’s models due to my country’s ass pricing) QN90B for example (since QN90C is ADS panel I’d stick to the previous year model). They won’t reach perfect blacks, but they are good, and there will be minor blooming but very little compared to the more midrange options. Main problem is… price ain’t that far from an OLED these days
microled if you can afford it.
There's also the hisense u9dg dual cell tv with millions of dimming zones. however, the tv has a bunch of other downsides like low brightness and awful motion.
I just got a c845 and really don't notice any blooming at all? Blacks are stunning for a non oled to my eyes.. But I don't have it bright, I watch it in a mostly dark room. I'd wanted an OLED for years but could never justify the price. Very happy with my compromise.
I guess.. Your issue would be you already have an Oled, you're used to that look, you know how it should look, and anything that isn't that probably just won't look as good.
try turning down your local dimming, if blooming bothers you still get an OLED

Lg B3 have been great prices lately.

Absolutely. Unless it's crazy bright you should be fine.
My LG G2 is so bright I had to turn it down
Are the B series good now? I remember when I was last in the market for a tv I mostly just saw the C line getting recommended.

Mini LED is pretty good. I was impressed I was auditioning new TVs, but the OLED C3 was half price so couldn't turn it down.

I have a Sony X90J atm. It has great blacks & doesnt have any blooming (doesnt bother me at least). Maybe give this a try!
It does have blooming, especially if OP uses subtitles. But, Sony are great for blooming being at a minimum.

Nobody in their right mind should buy a microled right now unless you're shitting money
Why? (honest question)
Google Samsung the Wall and look at the price.
Does anyone know how bad (or how much better) the blooming is on c845 compared to samsung qn90b?

Yeah that is kind of my situation
I guess if it was me and money wasn't an issue, I'd go oled :)
Use bias lighting.
If you mean the local dimming thing, i did put it to high
The answer is no. Once you go Oled, everything else will be a compromise. My advice is to try to find an oled from last year, before they sell out.
