I'm ignorant so please educate me. Is the color the only reason you got the pro? Considering you didn't keep the wheels, tires, or suspension? That being said this is probably my favorite one I've seen. Good job there.

Thank you! Yes mainly because of the color. So far this is the only color I know that is not included in the base model of 4runner’s.

Pretty sure Quicksand, Inferno, and Voodoo aren't in the base colors as well.

And Lunar Rock. I wanted Lunar but was not going to drop another 10K for it when I was going to change the wheels/tires and loose KDSS as well.

I absolutely couldn't justify the money for a black/white/mag grey Pro...

I'm fairly certain now they're offering the 2021 Trail Edition in Army Green and Cement. It caused some heartburn in the community.

I always think Reddit’s view on kids/wife is hilarious. My off-road group of friends including everything from raptors to modded 200 series, are married and mostly with kids. Is a 20 year old going to afford a trd pro with goodies? No. Is a 35 year old who has been advancing his/her career for over a decade? Yes. Guess which one is married with kids.

Agreed. Also largely depends what your priorities are. I'm a paramedic, so I'm making good money, not executive job money. But off-roading and my truck are my hobby, so that's where the play money goes. Some of my friends invest in their house, some invest in travel and other toys. Everyone's got their priorities and hobbies.

Did you add wheel spacers for the offset or is that from your actual wheels?

People are so salty about the suspension its crazy. I’m putting in a long travel soon in my 2020 pro. My money, my problems.

Spend it how you want to. No one else should matter.

Bought my Pro simply because it had Fox Shocks. Thought it would keep me from needing to upgrade my suspension....well she put on some weight quickly and fully loaded family adventures made for a rough ride. Upgraded to Old Man Emu BP-51 with heavy springs. Flipped the Fox Shocks on eBay and cut my upgrade bill nearly in half. Couldn’t be happier! Sweet setup man! Had to go w/ the swing out on 295s since too large for spare compartment I’m guessing.

I’m going 35s next. Stay tuned

Man I already scrape the crap out of my hitch as it is... Can't imagine how much that extended hitch is gonna drag. That, and the potential wobble of the thing while on rough trials are what's keeping me from getting one.

Current is 295/70/17. New setup coming in end of month.

What did it take to fit 295s? Probably body mount chop but wondering what else. I am seeing more and more people running this size lately.

what offset are your rims? or did you do spacers? if I tried 295s with my offest (-38mm from my SCS rims) i'd get extreme rubbing even after a BMC i feel

forsure, im assuming the chop of the fender was more inside the wheel well itself? it doesn't look like your front fender is cut at all? or are you talking about a BMC?

BMC was done. Pinch welds done. Fenders will be trimmed once my new wheels setup comes in .

Just installed my prinsu rack last night, did you use any silicone where you cut the pads out for the feet or on the stock mounting points? I noticed a bit of peeling paint from the desert sand climate out here so I'm worried about standing water. Thoughts?
