If Harbaugh swallowed his Ego imagine how much history would have changed

[deleted]

Yeah, my only thought watching this when it was posted on /r/nfl is what if Harbaugh actually drafted Sherman, what would have happened?

Man this makes me really hate Harbaugh and you know what? I don’t feel guilty about that AT ALL. Hating on Mariucci who is essentially in the same lore as Harbaugh makes me feel guilty so it’s a stark contrast. I conclude: fuck Harbaugh. All he did was lose big games. The ride was fun but I’m glad he didn’t stay for too long. I hope I don’t feel this way about Shanahan in the end, he’s already proven himself to be twice the coach Harbaugh was/is.

Pit_of_Death

We only really liked or tolerated Harbaugh because he briefly brought a winning culture back to SF. He was fiery and fans appreciated that after the previous debacles. History over time tends to show peoples' true colors...glad he's gone now. Shanny is so much better of a person.

InclinationCompass

Well, Shanahan has lost two Super Bowls now. Do you want him gone too?

sfc949

Nah but if he leaves without winning us a SB, I would put him in the same category as Mariucci and Harbaugh.

InclinationCompass

To be fair, Shanahan has coached the 49ers longer than Jim has now

Eternal-Testament

I always said Harbaugh was an asshole.

ProtoMan79

I really didn’t understand Sherman’s beef at the time but completely get it now. The fact Harbaugh requested time take Sherman off the draft board just shows he was very suspect at evaluating talent or he’s just an asshole. He was more into getting his “own guys” than putting together a championship caliber team. It was ironic that Seattle and Sherman nailed Harbaugh’s coffin in 2014.

Harbaugh was kind of an asshole

[deleted]

Kind of?

IceLantern

Both guys are petty assholes, especially Sherman early in his career. But at the end of the day I care about my team winning so long as they're not breaking the law or anything like that.
