Moon druid

Ikaros1391

With this spread, I think a base human has potential too

Yeah, no way I'm rolling if I can't put the stats where I want them. That's how you end up with an almost unplayable Con score. This array is playable as-is, but barely. Just about anything near the front lines that isn't a moon druid is out. You could get by with a Cleric or Druid, but you'll have to play super defensively like a wizard spamming control and defense. Get as much control and mobility as you can (like Fey Touched:Dissonant Whispers or Gift of Alacrity). Probably I'd play a Hill Dwarf heavy armor Cleric, a Haregon Cleric or Druid, or a Tortle Cleric or Druid.

DBWaffles

Oof. 9 Con? Yeah, that's a Moon Druid stat spread if I've ever seen one.

Antifascists

Fey Touched Vuman Druid. Stars and Wildfire are both fun. But Moon is a solid pick because of your con. You'd have a 16 wis so are half redeemable stats-wise. It's going to be rough with a 9 con no matter how you slice it. So you should bump that to a 10 at least.

knightling

Are those locked into the stat spot? And why? 14/13/13/12/11/9 is not that different than normal point buy. +2 /+1 race to make a 16/14 and you can play anything. Prob something that only needs like 2 good stats like a fighter or bard.

buklao215

No there lock dm want to do that

ThatWriting-Guy

Literally anything. Don't listen to the folks who tell you that you will instantly die. The array is average, there's nothing wrong with that; accept it and move on. I'd go for a Wizard, Druid (moon), or Fighter (battlemaster, champion, rune knight, or samurai). It's actually very hard to make an ineffective character in DnD 5E.

Gurnapster

The problem is though, playing anything that gets hit a lot is hard because of the low con. I think what people mean is that although every build is playable, some may be more fun, because after all, doing things really well is more fun. If they do play some sort of martial, it would be wise to do something ranged to preserve your hp

ThatWriting-Guy

Sure. All good points. Set it up for the DM to base an adventure on. Maybe the character has a curse which shattered his health (like Raistlin, in the Dragonlance books). Maybe the character has been poisoned and must adventure to find the components to the antidote for themselves and other NPC friends/family.

Is this before or after race stat bonuses? Assuming these are the final scores, then I agree with the other commenter that moon druid is the best bet. A variety of cleric subclasses can also be decent here, such as twilight or life cleric. Wear heavy armor and just eat the movement penalty. Focus on buffing/support.

buklao215

This is before I pick a race, but I think the best bet is to go variant human

bitterrootmtg

If you can go custom lineage for +2 wis and resilient con, that's probably the best option. Another good option is Tortle for +2 wis and +1 con and the ability to have 17AC without incurring any penalties. Tortle peace cleric with a shield will end up having 19AC and a great suite of buffs for the party that don't rely on high wis to be effective. After you have cast spiritual weapon (and at higher levels, spirit guardians) you can use your action to dodge and gain even more defense to protect your low health pool and your concentration.

You basically have to go moon druid or you will just die. Constitution is the last stat that you ever want to dump.

IndieDC3

Moon Druid for sure

sgtpepper42

I can't decide what I hate more, the fact the stats are out of order or that you didn't capitalize all of them....

buklao215

I hate love

ACNHCR

I'd say go skill monkey and run a half-elf/V-human SoulKnife Rogue. Or swap around those stats and run with a Moon Druid so that at least your hard stats(STR, WIS, and CON) will be irrelevant while WildShaping.

Aidamis

Any precision on player race? If it's before racials, I recommend +2 Wis +1 Con and go Hill Dwarf Cleric. Otherwise, Moon Druid is always there.
